My ears have been sensitive all my life. I was in the shower one time when I was living with my parents, and I heard these whispering voices saying 'lets suprise Stephanie'. When I got out, I told my mum, and she said that's wierd, because she was whispering very quietly at the other end of the house to my step-dad to suprise me with a gift.

Anyway, while I was working out on the treadmill at the gym yesterday, I was watching the Tv Screens infront of me. To listen to the Tv you need a stereo headset, and tune into the right frequency. I never listen or watch tv while I'm working out because I prefer to focus on my body and meditate a bit. Anyway a PlaySchool show was on, and all the colourful objects caught my eye, and the guy on the show looked like he was singing, and then I read his lips and he was singing "3 green bottles standing on the wall, and if one green bottle should accidently fall...ect, " As I was watching, all of a sudden I could hear it Crystal clear for a breif 10 seconds. It was not volume, it was radio waves. And as I concerntrated harder, I heard the song louder and louder and it was crackeling in my ear.

Anyone else had experiences such as these? I feel that we can tune into radio waves. I read somewhere that babies can.
I think our inner-ears can pick up on any frequency, depending on sensitivity.
It's only matter of tuning into channels.

I just realized maybe the reason I heard it was because I was focused on his lip reading, and trying to hear it caused my inner ears to capture the frequency consciously.

Or it could be imagination. It's pretty powerful, like you feel like you heard it. I honestly don't mean to be sceptical, just throwing that out. I actually wanted to add a story about Lucile Ball doing that as she drove past a radio station. She claimed she could here the station inside her head, and seemed pretty solemn about it. On a side note, the way I came by that story was someone in LL started a post called "Bye Johny) about Johny Carson Dying. I'd heard the name many times, but didn't know who he was. Well, that night I taped David Letterman (he's on very late over here). I don't normally tape the show, just rarely. Anyhow, Dave had a show dedicated to Johny, and claimed Johny wrote many of his jokes and was the reason Dave had a talk show. He really seemed to admire him. Anyhow, one guy he had on showed a clip of Lucy, I think on Johnys show, relating the above story. Tis interesting. Imagine consciously tuning in, like to cable. I read recently in a mag called "Atomic" that there is software coming out soon that will act as a radio and be able to tune into all frequencies through your computer, meaning free cable, satellite, you name it. I think it sounds illegal, but interesting, I mean, we're surrounded by so much noise...

Have you got any metal inside your head? A metal plate, for instance, could pick up radio waves. Or tooth fillings.

Dear SunChild,

regarding your first experience (your surprise). I am wondering if you tapped into the universal energy. Your parents were putting it out into the universe and you picked it up.

I also wonder if the shower had something to do with it. I had an experience in the shower where I was singing a song that I hadn't heard for years (an old Bee Gees song). After I'd dried off, I turned the tv in the loungeroom on (Rage, ABC). I went to the bedroom to get dressed and then heard the same song I'd just been singing. It had been re-released by a girl-band. It was almost as though I'd picked up on the energy of what had been programmed.

I don't really have a comment on your second experience. It does seem as though you are tuning into something though.

Imagination can have a lot to do with it. I don't have very good visual imagination, but I can hear sounds well. I was in a house I did not know once, and I was sure that I was hearing a particularly monotonous oratorio by Handel. Was I surprised when I went into the kitchen to find that the tune I had "recognised" was actually the sound of their washing machine!

SunChild, I call this "connectedness!"
It has to do with a particular function of the ear realted to the brain, and body. This is said to be common in people who are very connected to the energies of things around them. I will get a better medical explanation of this the next time I see the person who told me this. She was a nurse.
I recently had an experience with my finches. I was lying in my room and it sounded like all of the noises around me were all in the room with me. They were all the same volume. Outside ones, inside, down the street etc. And my 13 finches. That was interesting. But I could hear each individual finch as they sang and chirped. I knew which bird was doing the communicating. (I have had them for about five years) One of them was, in it's own communication, telling me that something was wrong with his foot. I interpreted it in his voice.
When I did get up, I went to the aviary and that finch did have a cut on his foot. I've been having weird experiences like that lately.

i feel the emotions and concepts of the new songs before i hear the new songs. which makes for some problems concerning what i think is my own originality

hey batgirl, when you add up the numbers in your birthdate are you a master number (11, 22, 33 or 44), or were you born on the 11th or 22nd of a month?

Your special skill is synonomous with those with master numbers.

Sesame, I remember hearing about Lucile Ball, and apparently that was due to her fillings. She was pretty damn sure she heard it.
I also having fillings in my head, perhaps it may have something to do with it.
Well I was watching 'mythbusters' the other day because I found an old tape when they experimented on the tooth fillings phenomena, and apparently it's true.

Purple scorp, I agree, I guess it was ESP.
And that's pretty cool Philbird ...

I suppose I'll just have to 'listen' out for more...

Hey, you know what? That's where I got the story from - Mythbusters, not Letterman. I did want to get that Letterman story off my chest though, but I don't think it had anything to do with radio receptors in fillings. Another episode of Mythbusters busted the myth that tongue rings act as lightening rods (and I guess fillings). Great show hey?

Philbird, that's so cool to be able to talk to birds. Whatelse do they chatter on about? Hitchhikers Guide (or is it "Life the Universe and Everything") talked about talking to the birds, and they said once it starts, you can't stop, so it's good to rethink whether you really want to know what they're saying

Hello batgirl,

I thought you might be a master number. Well, as a fellow master number (I'm a 22) it's my duty to advise you of a website where other master numbers hang out.

If you get time, pop-in and check it out.
