Animals fascinate me.
Linda talked about their having a specific purpose in Star Signs.
Can anyone shed any light on the issue?
Do animals replicate our behaviour?
Are they paradigms for something?
Messengers?

My two cents:
The musk deer(called the kastoori mrig in India) has this special fragrance emanating from its navel.It is attracted by this smell but it doesn’t know where it is coming from and so it spends its life searching for the source of this fragrance…and dies without knowing that it originates from within its own self.
What do we have to learn from this?
That all sources of deep knowledge love and wisdom are within us and we don’t need to go rushing around the world in search for it.But only to realize that it is within us.

firelights...! I really love your message! I agree! It saddens me to see people always looking outward, often in severe denial about themselves. Always looking for something or someone, to save them, fix them, enlighten them, when so many answers can be found within.

The nearest path to enlightenment is the path back to ourselves; for therein is the key, which unlocks the door to wisdom.
