Is anyone getting the feeling that there is alot of cult activity going on? Especially in the western United States?I was just looking into some new stuff and lately I've been getting those feelings. Just keep your eyes open and your ears prompt for listening! Does anybody else feel this? ------------------ Phoenix IP: Logged |

"...if you believe in it, it is a religion or perhaps 'the' religion; and if you do not care one way or another about it, it is a sect; but if you fear and hate it, it is a cult." Leo Pfeffer. A humorous quotation, but one that is uncomfortably close to reality. The term cult is obscure and has numerous definitions, depending on the individuals perspective of the word. Utter confusion reigns when we attempt to mix and match definitions. In that view, what is a cult? My church is considered a cult by some cult-awareness group and we are in the midwest. Strangely, I haven't seen much of what I consider cult activity, but I've seen plenty when I was in the Catholic church.I guess it depends on what you consider a cult. IP: Logged | |
