Ok, we're an open minded group of people so I was wondering what unusual paranormal or metaphysical occurence have your experienced? I've seen some spoon bending at this site, maybe a little psychic ability, and so on.. What have you experienced or witnessed? Any near death experiences, definite psychic predictions, moving of objects, past lives that can be proven?...

Ok....here is a tame one....BUT a fun one for me!
(I have posted other not so tame ones...will find them if you would like).

When we first moved to this house I told my now husband I was in the mood to summon things(material things this time)...so I said I am going to summon something. He laughed and said I should give myself a real challenge...He said, it had to be from his past! Ok I said...
So I summoned a woodstove somehow linked to his past.(I did NOT know there was one, just thought it sounded weird enough) Two days later there was a for sale ad in the classifieds.
I called the number and got the address and asked my husband if he knew how to find the place. He was sitting there slackjawed and said, "ask them for the address again!" So I did and repeated it back to my husband. He said oh my god! Oh my God! Give me the phone! He gets on the phone with the seller of the woodstove and the conversation became very interesting! The address the man gave was the address of my husband's childhood home! The wood stove was the one he sat in front of and played with his toys! Not only that, but the stove still held the last log his family had put in it before they sold the house. This was the second people to move there since my husband's family had lived there. On the way over to pick up the woodstove, I said we could sure use some landscape or patio pavers. He looks at me and said, "If you pull that one off I will have to give you another challenge! Well we get there and the couple gave us the grand tour. We finally arrive out in the backyard.
As they talk my husband looks around and said to the man, I see you have replaced the patio with bricks, looks nice! The man then said to him...Hey! You want your old patio back? My husband looked puzzled until the man pointed at a big stack of patio pavers about 100 feet away...and said , "you can have them for free, if you want them!...My husband looked at me again with that "how the heck do you do that" look...and we took the woodstove home and the next day the man delivered for free the for free patio pavers from my husband's childhod home's patio.

Now he dared me to do it again! Ok I said...I summon a king size waterbed frame from your past! Yeah right! He said. Two days later there it was...in the for sale ads. So I called the number and when I told my husband the address he looked at me really funny and said, "ask the guy his name"...so I did and said it is Bob H., and my husband gets on the phone and another wild conversation ensues. Seems the guy was the exhusband of an old girlfriend of his. The waterbed was one my husband had even slept on before!
So we went and got it.

Ok....that is a tame story. There are alot of other untame ones.
Later!

my story is very simple in the midst of all this psychic phenomena, but one that continues to make me catch my breath whenever i think of it. it happened over 20 years ago.

i grew up in a small, rural town. my grandparents lived on a piece of land in the country where i lived as a teenager. we kept a few horses on this land and my horse was a stubborn mare.

i would ride her for hours in the countryside surrounding our house, just observing, thinking and taking in the sun. sometimes we would trot or gallop, but mostly just walked and observed the landscape.

she always wanted to head back to the house and was never very pleased to be ridden. one day as we were riding i spotted a nest of baby birds on the ground. i jumped off and lightly wrapped her reins around a small tree and bent down to look more closely at the birds.

when i looked up, my horse had galloped off and was disappearing in the distance. i was so far from home! i was frantic at returning home without my horse. she was not trained to listen to me or to do what i asked. i knew she would run as far away from me as possible.

so i simply whispered a prayer and it was as urgent and sincere as any i ever uttered. 'please god, give her the instinct to stop and let me ride her home.'

at that very instant she came to a complete halt and didn't move. i was in shock...but still, she never just let me just walk up to her in the pasture. i always had to lure her into the corral to slip reins over her head when i wanted to ride her.

so even now i was wary of walking up to her. but i walked straight toward her...she was far away so it took quite a while. but she didn't move even an inch...she let me walk up to her and climb on without moving a bit! she had never done that -- even in the corral!

we walked home, she as mellow as a cat basking in the sun...i've remained in awe of this event ever since.

each time i'd ride her after that, she was her usual self -- ornery and unyielding. i always loved her, probably because of her proud spirit. but that incident was supernatural and it created a close bond between us. i felt that she really felt me then. we were closer after that.

i've since read that horses are very spiritual, psychic and magical animals.

for real!

p.s. i may have posted this in LL before...if so, same story, still makes me sigh.

I have had quite a few interesting experiences,I'm not sure if this was paranormal or not. It was definitely out of the ordinary.

When I was sixteen I was driving with my family out to California. I was driving at the time that this experience occurred.
It happened on Highway 10, that stretch
of road that is Government property before you get to San bernardino. I was driving and the sky was blue, no storm clouds in sight. It was Hot and clear one moment and then it started to get cloudy and rain, The rain started falling so hard that it was hard to see the road, my Mom kept asking, "Sissy, can you see?" I was thinking of pulling over until it let up.
I saw that there were other vehicles lining each side of the shoulder of the interstate, West and East bound. A truck caught my attention, there was no one behind the wheel. In every car that we passed, I couldn't see anyone in them.I know the rain was falling pretty steadily, but we were driving right beside them and there was no one in them. The rest of my family noticed as well. I commented on how odd it was and my mom said, "Maybe there is an auction?" I knew that couldn't be the case, there was still bob wire fence up and government signs. I told her as much. I decided that I was just going to keep on driving. The visibility at one point was extremely decreased, but I kept on driving, instincts working over time. This all took place in about 10 minutes, from the time that the rain started to fall, to seeing the cars and truck on the side of the road.
Only about one minute had elapsed from the heaviest downpour to the clearing. I noticed cars on the road and the big truck that I had seen, passing us up, with people in them. I was startled, just a minute ago we were what seemed like the only car on the road and now it was filled with the empty vehicles, all containing passengers.
To this day, I have no idea what happened that afternoon.
Has anyone ever had anything similar happen to them?

Great stories. I will share a quickie. Me and four of my friends went to a casino. I was single then and in love with one of them.

We were at the Roulette table and I had 3 shots. I wanted to impress, so I asked "Oh Universe. Please give to me what I want for once." And it was Bulls eye. I made 300 dollar from $15. After that I never summoned the universe in that way. I wonder why I used that spell May be I was head over heels in love.

Today I was outside our complex talking to a priest that used to live here. (and a friend of the neighbor who passed away recently.) I looked up in the shy and said "GOD," I wish it would rain. Instantly there was a clash of thunder and it started pouring! I cherish the rain now that I live in AZ! We chuckled. Thank you Iva!

Back in 1979 I was on my way home from working the night shift. I had been planning a trip out west and was going to visit an uncle I had never met before. He lived in Arkansas. Well I was going to give him a call that day to ask if I could visit and finally meet him. My family is not close and it had been like more than 10 to 16 years since I had talked to any of that part of the family.
Well I fortunately was NOT the driver that morning!
I was just looking out the window and commented idly to my then husband..."I wonder what Uncle L.D. will be like?"
Suddenly I was plunged into a total immersion trance/telepathy state! Wham! I found myself in total and absolute utter darkness and a soundless place! Before I could really panic, a door opened up away from me and I realized I was standing at the bottom of a stone stairway and from there I could see outside this open door, trees all green and sunshine and bluebirds flying in and out the open door. Then suddenly this tall middle aged red haired main steps into the doorway...and even though his back was to the light and sunshine, I could clearly see him! His face was illuminated and he was smiling this big beautiful smile at me! He started towards me and as I reached for him he suddenly threw his arms up over his head and turned his face up, and let out a big laugh of such unbelievable joy! Then he looked at me smiling again and the door slammed shut!
I came out of the trance communication with a jolt! My then husband said I had been acting weird and he said I was humming the song "MR. Bluebird on my shoulder" with my eyes closed and had been ignoring him for 2 miles!
Well I told him what had happened. He was used to me doing things like that. We pulled in our driveway, got out of the car... and as we begain to open the door to the house, the phone begain to ring! We hurried in and answered it. It was another relative who I had not heard from in about a decade...calling to tell me that my Uncle L.D. had just passed away in Arkansas. I did not get any information beyond that...said thank you and sent flowers later for his funeral. A year later we took a trip to see my Grandmother in Florida. She and I had not been in contact with each other for 16 years either. Well I decided to visit and attend a 20 year BIG family reunion. After the reunion we went to my Uncle E.D.'s house with my Grandmother. I told them about my Trance/vision. Uncle E.D. begain to cry and ran out of the room. I said to my Grandmother, "I didn't mean to upset him!" She said, " oh no honey...you didn't do anything wrong...you just said it like you was there when he passed, like we all was!"
Well she told me how he (Uncle L.D., the one who died) was laying in a coma and rolled into a fetal postion....he had bad cancer and had went from a strapping 6 ft.6in. tall, 210 pound man, down to under 100 pounds. There was a big painting over the bed of trees and sunshine and bluebirds. They did not think he would wake up before dying. She said suddenly he moved and struggled up in the bed to his knees...got this beautiful look on his face and threw his arms over his head...let out a burst of joyous laughter and fell face foreward dead!
She said that that song, MR.Bluebird on my shouder", and "Mocking Bird Hill" were songs he often sang or hummed. I had been whistling them both for two days!

She told me I had always had the "family" gift, ever since I was born....but that is another series of stories...

oh fayte, that story tugged at my heart. it reminded me of a similar story...things like this aren't usual for me.

i was eating in a small sushi restaurant with my partner one evening. i was so full of conversation...talking about looking for a new job...all of a sudden my head went very quiet and i distinctly heard my great aunt say my name and i felt a sharp rush of love, like a pang....i mean i really felt her feeling for me when she said my name. i stopped for a moment and caught my breath, and went on talking...but her voice and that feeling stayed with me.

i had not seen or spoken to her in many years. the next day my mother told me she had passed away the previous night at about the same time we were at the sushi place.

i was awestruck...and so touched that she had visited me that way...

she too lived in a different state...arkansas!

Saffron..
I know what you mean. I had another precious thing like that happen to me too.
My best friend was in a rest home(she was 84 and I was 23)...she wanted to go Christmas shopping with me, but she was not feeling up to it. She had been wheelchair bound for 70 of her 84 years. But until the mini stroke left her unable to use her arms to roll about..she lived on her own. Well she sold all her things to afford the rest home. But she wanted a little something to make her feel a little more "at home". She wanted a new clock..with flowers and it had to be a china plate clock like the one she had before that had been dropped and broken during her move to the rest home. Well I went to the mall without her that December 22-1977...because she was feeling poorly. I promised to get the clock for her.
While I am at the mall looking at some scarves, I hear the sound of "HER VICTORIAN WICKER AND WOOD WHEELCHAIR!" behind me! I turned and of course she was not there! But then I smelled her "white shoulders" perfume!
Ok...so I decided I had better get the clock.
I went over to a gift shop and walked in to the clocks area of gifts. Damn! Only one flowered china clock left! And it was absolutely perfect except for having Roman numerals...which she hated! I was going to go someplace else when it suddenly fell off the display and I had to catch it! So I bought it...seeing how I knew I had a few more days left to shop for the right plate clock. When I got home Mrs.C. called me from the rest home. She said "V" had died at 7:22 pm. I took the clock out and looked at the receipt....printed right on it was the time....7:22pm.!
"V" knew I liked Roman numerals...and loved her flowered china clock. She had left it to me in her will, but it had been broken in her move to the rest home. I feel that this was her Christmas gift to me and the replacement for the clock she wanted to leave me that was broken. Funny thing was, exactly a year later at the time she had died, I was changing the battery in it. I dropped it. It broke in the same way the other one had! I glued it back together and still use it!

Wow! Very cool stories! Fayte that is awesome. Isn't the synchronicities amazing? I love hearing stories like this. Philbird, your story reminded me of something. I was driving through the appalachian mountains alone going from north carolina to ohio on my way home on a break. It is a 10 hour drive.Anyway, I was feeling really lonely and it started drizzling and the sun was peeking through the clouds. Anyway, I said out loud Where's my rainbow God? And immediately I saw not only one but two beautiful rainbows appear right after I said that stretching over the mountains! It was so beautiful! I don't even know why I said that. It made me feel like God really heard me! It was awesome.

One other time, a year or so ago, We needed money. I looked into the sky and said "we need money." I had my fists clenched and on my chest. (pretty much telling the money gods it will happen.) I felt a strange sensation, like I was going to pass out, but didn't. A month later, I received word that a Great Uncle whome I've only met once when I was a child, had passed away and left my sisters and I a very nice inheritance.
I have a lot of weird experiences like that, but I am only now realizing that there are signs, we just have to observe them, and act on them. (intuition)

Everyone has these experiences...everyone is psychic....it is just that most cannot see the forests for the trees! If we take time to ponder things, we can all see these serendiptious things happening and synchronicities all about us...every day!

My family isn't very close. My mother has two brothers, one of whom I hadn't seen since I was a baby.

I was 12 years old visiting my mothers parents in Florida. It was the night before my plane left to take me back to Ohio. I had a dream about a tall, thin man with black hair and a black mustache in my grandparents' back yard playing with two black labs.

The next morning we got up to go to the airport and my grandfather got a call. My uncle had died overnight in a car accident. Once we got back to Ohio, I saw my uncle (at the funeral home) for the first time in years. Tall thin man, black hair, black mustache. I recognized him from my dream.

Later that day my mom had to go to his house to pick up his dogs... both black labs.

I have other stories like this, too. There seems to be a "sense" that runs in my famliy as well.

Yes, I think these happen often too, but the web of life is so intricate that we really only see a small fraction. Ha! The statistics of the paranormal. That should be a book.

My most memorable one occured a few years ago. Just after I returned the movie "Being John Malkovitch" I was running to an atm when my back went out. I could feel bones sticking out of my chest and it was most comfortable when I pushed them back in while I walked. So I walked back home with two of my room mates wondering what had happened to make my bones stick out. Well, this was Saturday night so I didn't think I'd get any help. I went home and slept and woke up still feeling my back in pain and the bones. So I went to hospital. At the time, I didn't have a car so I walked but I was only a few hundred metres away at that point abd all down hill. So I went into the emergency clinic and after a while they gave me some inflamatory pills and said it should go away. I walked out in disbeleif. I called my mum who said I should go to a chiropractor and that there should be ones that are open seven days a week. Well, I had to do something. I took a bus into the city and walked to an info place - still pushing my bones in. They said there was a seven day place and gave me directions. I got there and it was closed! BUT, there was a guy there with a neck brace on so I asked him if he knew about the chiro? He said he had just called him and he should be there at any moment. Ah, relief! Well, the chiro rocked up and looked so much like John Malkovitch, and his office was on the 7th floor. (The movie was based on the 7 1/2 floor). After that first session I was still in pain but felt great that I was getting help. I went there a fair few times and he was a great person to talk to that allowed me to get a lot of thoughts off my chest. I stopped going because I thought I don't need it any more, but I think I still do.

Anyhow, this one's not exactly about life or anything, but I thought it was very synchronous...

Dean.

I have many but I'll start with this since I don't have much time right now.

My sister lost her keys the other day. While she has good intentions to listen to her spiritual nature she ultimately doesn't understand it at this point, more lik doesn't want to understand it. Anyway, I gave her Linda's book and told her to read the part out loud about finding lost items.

She said she saw trees so left to go look near some trees she had partied near the night before. 5 or 10 minutes after she left the house, this guy shows up and hands me her keys.

I asked him where he found them and he said she had left them in the cab.

Ok, not so amazing as many of my other stories but what more could you ask for? You ask the universe to find an item and bring it back to you and it gives you door to door service!

Later on I'll write up a post about a near death experience and this really amazing thing that happened last week!

I've had the same batteries in my channel changer for atleast two years. All I do is touch them or spin them around a bit and the remote works. Not very outlandish, but I have saved money on batteries .

My grandfather grew up in northen Quebec on a remote farm. French Canadians have a way about them and a faith in devine power that's simply amazing.

On different occasions he's told us stories about things that happened on the farm. Ghost stories, healing stories, hunting with honor.

This true story is my favorite:

Their barn had two doors, the huge front ones and a small, tiny one at the back. These doors faces each other perfectly. While cleaning out the barn one day, he had left both doors open. Fumes in there can be deadly. Anyway, he was about halfway between both doors when he heard a thunderous crash and a flash in the sky.

Blinding him only for a moment he then opened his eyes to see a ball of white lightning flying through the open front doors of the barn. Blazing the hay in it's wake, the ball shot out the small door on the side. Suprisingly, it didn't burn the barn but left serious scorch marks.

I was always fascinated with this story as a child. My grandfather is an honest touch healer and I've never had any reason to disbelieve him.

He even told my mother about books he had read as a child that spoke of psychic abilities and included exercises. He admits to having tried them and that they worked. His stories are the material from which legends are formed.

All throughout his life, events like this have followed him.

Before sitting down to eat an elaborate family diner both the front door and the back door of the house had been opened because of extreme heat in the house. Cooking all day on an open wood stove and then eating in the kitchen gets pretty uncomfortable. Anyway, just after having said grace and sitting down to enjoy the meal, a brief but erie silence comes over the room. Then suddenly both the front and back door slam shut with such force and exact timing that it gave everyone a chill. Having faith in the devine, his family knew that something had happened. The next day, my grandfather finds out that his uncle had passed away the previous evening. It was around the same time that the doors slammed shut.

After I had given birth to my son (it was an emergency section after a 17 hour labour), I was recovering in the hospital ward. I had almost lost my life, nearly bled to death and the staff found it hard to bring me around after the surgery, I was dozing off and felt someones hands touch my knees and head, I opened my eyes, thinking a midwife had come in to see me,but there was no one there. I then looked out of the window and realised it was "the divine one". When I told my mum this story, she said exactly the same thing happened to her. She also nearly lost her life giving birth to my sister 46 years before!!

Six months after my son was born I visited a white witch who told me that Id had a near death experience whilst "under ". She told me I had chosen to come back to look after my son. I felt the "hands on" experience changed my life - it was proof there is a God - amen xxxx
