Lately at night I notice what sounds like a radio at an extremely low volume. Thus far I haven't found a source. Anyone have any ideas? Fans are left on throughout the small house at night. Could their combined sound somehow mock what sounds like music and talking?

Also, my ears are somewhat sensitive. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but being a musician I always try to protect my hearing around loud sounds.

I think it is aliens hovering above your house at night. As soon as you hear the sound, they vanish.

My keyboard creaks during the night and in the early a.m.'s. I have come to believe it is a spirit, or my cat Yoda who passed away 2 years ago. He always used to like to lay on the keyboard.

Acoustic,

With almost 100% positivity the phenomenon is that an electrical outlet plug is picking up radio signals.

I once heard the radio playing a song in the house and I searched and searched and it was the damn electric plug!

This is interesting to me, because a very close friend of mine was having simular experiences, but as soon as she realized she was hearing it it went away. I asked her and she couldn't make out what it was.

At the time, I was playing music in my head as I do at times--I like to say that I have an mp3 player in my head, I record and replay--and I was thinking she might have tuned it to it!

this reminds me of a song called "when the man comes around" I heard it from Johnny Cash
it says, "hear the singers, hear the pipers."

I like music, and I often hum this tune.

It would be a honor to do research and to publish my findings, so petition me--if you will.

I know what you mean... I often walk into a room and can "feel" electrical devices that are turned on, perhaps something to do with static electricity!?

For the past month or so every night right before I fall asleep I swear that a radio or a television was left on,but there's never anything turned on. I can't make out what it is, it doesn't scare me, I just don't know where its coming from.
In reply to the last response regarding electrical appliances. I can always tell when my t.v. is left on even when my cable box is off. I know its sounds weird, but noone else seems to hear that slight hum that I hear from the t.v.

That could very well be (the electrical outlets). I'm the type of person who, if I leave on the quietest music when I go to bed I can hear it distinctively, and have to end up turning it off at some point in the night because it's too distracting.

A couple interesting points that were brought up:

This sound doesn't scare me either, and I am one who is fully capable of getting spooked.

The sound definitely does not go away when I think about it. I've literally heard, and gotten up and searched for it. Finding the direction it's coming from is tough, but the sound is still there.

Thanks for the input. I might just try to listen to some outlets -see if that's it.

I've had this too, late at night and I always thought it was the neighbors (in our duplex) with a tv on~it sounded like people having a conversation. I did the glass to the wall thing and it wasn't coming from there, so I asked my bf and he thought it was from the bubbling in the fish tank.

Never scared from it, just curious

My question would be, is it playing a specific song? there could be a message in the song for you. The universe is always there quiding us, listen to it speak to you.
