My dad always carried on with this "I can see," said the blindman. It irritated me to no end.

Not now.

He also used to tell me this story: "Shall I tell you a story about Jack and His Glory? Shall I begin it? That's all that's in it."

He always used to laugh when he'd finish reading me a story and I'd ask "What happened after they lived happily ever after?"

Now I can say "I see!" and "I understand".

All that mercurial thinking (I'm Gemini) was not put to waste.
