Hello Celestial,

Our moderator Dean has a fabulous numerology site based on Linda's Numerology system. You can type in the numbers or name and it will calculate the number for you. I dont have the link handy, but will try to find it for you.

BTW, I am a double 8 (17). My birthday (17th) and name add up to 8's. Do you have Linda's Star Signs? She goes into numerology in it and has a chapter dedicated to 4's and 8's - the Numbers of Fate and Destiny.

Sueg, no way!! Isnt it crazy how we 4's and 8's come together?? We are like magnets to each other. My ex was an 8. And I've dated a couple others and a 4. Ive had a ton of 8's for friends over the years. And I was born at 11:51 = 8, lived in places that add up to an 8 - all kinds of crazy 'coincidences'. I wouldnt trade my number for anything though. Someday it will all be worth it.

Because your Birth number is a 17 and thats a 8 vibation, same as mine.
The"8" Life Path:
The Executive

If you get up one more time than you fall, you will make it though.

Chinese Proverb

The 8's life lesson is to establish financial security. This is not to say that 8's are materialistic. It's just that the Life Path 8 seeks the freedom that comes from being financially stable. They don't like the fact that money can be elusive, so so they find ways to keep money coming in so they'll never be without. Because of this, there alot of 8s who are millionaires-but never spend a penny of it. They'd rather keep the money in the bank, where it's safe. Then there is the other kind of 8: whenever they have money, they feel the need to spend it all.

Usally 8s tend to be drawn to the finer things in life. they like quality and often have attractive possessions-a nice home, car, etc. These possessions are reminders that everything is under control financially.

The 8 has excellent executive ability, and this is also the politician's number. It's a power number, which means that while they want control, they do hope to use it to make a positive difference in the world.

The 8 is the classic workaholic. Often, a women who is married to an 8 Life Path will get upset and tell me her husband doesn't care about her or their children. All he cares about is work. I can tell her exactly what he's thinking: "Hey, I'm trying to make things happen and achieve sme gaols so I canbe a great provider." The same goes for 8 Life Path women; they can also get too caught up in the business world. I tell my 8 Life Path clients to remember who it is they are working so hard for! They must take time to give the people in their lives enough personal attention.

As i said above, the number 8 has a dual nature. This is evident, visually, from the numberal its-elf: one circle on top of the other(8). this number is sometimes interpreted as a symbol of degeneration and regeneration; when turned on its side, it becomes the symbol of infinity. It's no surpise, then, that complete reverals are always a possibility with this number. This can be a good thing. If an 8 has made a big decision in work or personal relationship, and halfway through realizes the wrong one, it's okay to do a 180 and go the other way. Thats what the 8 must learn to do instead of staying stubbornly stuck in a bad position. I often tell my 8 clients that they're allowed to change their minds.

On the other hand, the reversals can go the opposite way. The 8 Life paths will have some different times in life. they may experience sorrow and wind up in circumstances where they feel humiliated. An example of just this sort of reveral is Martha Stewart. She worked hard, amassed a great fortune, and then one bad move toppled it all. It's no surpise that the bad decision was about money--it didn't matter that she stood to lose just a fraction of her overall fortune; as an 8 life Path she couldn't bear thethought of financial loss, no matter how small.

Lie Path 8s tend to be huge successes or major failures- often both in one life time. The 8s just need to keep their focus on any endeaver they pursue, and they will experience success. That said, 8s should remember it's important to stop and smell the roses.

It is common for a 8 Life path to be misinterpreted by others. To avoid this, the 8 must learn to be more tactful. they tend to tell the truth about what they're thinking, neglecting to edit their remarks for the larger eudience. Often they'll say something and have the other person respond with shock at how hurtful the remark was. At that point it's the 8's turn to be stunned: All they did was tell the truth. This is a very black-and-white vibration, with little room for gray areas. What I remind the 8 is that very few of us can handle the cold, harsh truth without at least a gentle preamble. It's an art form that every life Path should perfect, especially the 8. You can still say what you feel, just be careful how you say it.

The 8 Life Path considers strife and stuggle to be a normal part of life, but the one thing an 8 cannot get over is infidelity. If a partner cheats on an 8, it is best for the 8 to let that person go. It would take a supernatural effort for the 8 to over it. Even if they stay with the partner, the8 will never really be able to forgive them.

The 8 Life Path does not have much tolerance for people who feel sorry for thems-elfs. An 8 who sees someone suffer will likely say,"look,I'm sorry that happened to you. Now get up." This is ironic, since 8s often see themselves as a victim. Thats because 8 Life Paths don't get away with much in this world. If an 8 life Path wre driving five miles per hour over the speed limit and another Life Path was going twice that, the 8 would get the ticket. It's part of the reality of being an 8. The key is getting through it without taking on a " woe is me" attitude. I recommond humor to my clients. Learn to laugh at life! Rent a funny moive and surround yours-elf with amusing peple. Even listening to music that makes you happy can help ypou relax and let go- disco, jazz, whatever sets you free. Remember, these hardships are usually temporary. Life is not as overwhelming as you think. Dwelling on the negative, especially if you're an 8, can lead to deep depression. i want to keep you healthly, so I encourage you to learn to laugh as much as possible.

A good piece of news is that 8s are late bloomers. If you're an 8 Life path and you're thinking, Gosh, I wonder if I'm too old to do what i want to do, I'm here to say you are never too old. As long as you're on this planet, you can make your dreams come true.

i do cuation 8s about their health. It is not hard for them to get hurt, so they must be on the alert when driving and playing sports. Paying attention to the moment can make all the difference-I think many 8s get so caught up in their work and dreams that they don't always pay attention to the simple things that cause physical stress and trouble.

Occupations that suit the 8 include banker, stock market trader, accountant, office manager, and engineer. This Life Path also makes good cororate lawyers or judges. Many 8s go into the field of wedding planning, interior decorating and/or running nonprofit organizations. They are often physically beautiful, so modeling and acting are common career pursuits as well. Big business is a natural for the 8, like running a network or a major publishing company. If the Life path 8 has a 3, 6 0r 9 in their birth numbers, then their professions may lean towards the creative arts, perhaps in areas of live performances. Now, if you have a dream that is very different than what I've listed here, go for it! this is your life and you need to seize the moment. Keep in mind that "life is not a dress rehearal." Today is a gift. as an 8 you are always planning for the future. The future may never comr! Today is what you've got; embrace it.

NATURAL MATCH NUMBERS: 2,4,and 8
COMPATAIBLE NUMBERS: 5 (in business),6
CHALLENGE NUMBERS: 1,3,7 and 9

Note: Although the 8 falls in the Natural Match category, it can feel like a Challenge Number to a fellow 8 Vibrations.

Hi sue,

Well 8 is a heavy number to me.....and I guess to everyone because that's what it's vibration is all about. It vibrates to Saturn, the planet of lessons, struggles, karma, restriction. Being a Cappy rising as well, I have felt the Saturn/8 energy very strongly in this lifetime. It does have it's up sides though, like everything. Linda couldnt have put it better in her chapter on 4's and 8's in Star Signs. And here's a quote from her single definitions section, that really resonates with me:

...most 8 people have very
deep and intense natures and great inner strength. They often play an
important in life's drama, and many times are the instrument of Fate for
others.
Although 8 people appear to be cold and undemonstrative with those they
love and trust, they can be shyly affectionate and warmly devoted.
They're often lonely, needing desperately to be loved, and they're
capable of great sacrifices for an ideal, an ambition, or for those who
depend on them. They grow younger in appearance and behaviour as they
grow older - they look and act younger at fifty than they did when they
were twenty. They're as demanding of themselves as they are of others,
but for all the outward attitudes of wisdom and maturity, self-control,
and discipline, the 8 person's heart is lonely and longing, and they
need to learn that the pursuit of happiness is not a sin.

What do you think? As an 8, do you feel as if youve been growing younger in attitude and spirit as you grow older?

It's interesting that you and Solane are both married to 4's. Linda mentions this combonation in her book:

"Under the law of magnetic attraction, 4 and 8 people seem to be irresistibly drawn together in all kinds of relationships: love, marriage, friendships, and business associations - relatives and relatives by marriage. The combination cannot be called fortunate, at least not in a worldly sense, although it's common for 4 and 8 people to demonstrate a deep devotion to one another...."For better or for worse", especially during times of illness or misfortune. Some of the greatest examples of self-sacrifice in history are found when 8 and 4 people marry. The most pronounced aspect about this combination in marriage is sacrifice of some kind. Yet, great good can come from such suffering; the couple can create unusually gifted children - or produce the legacy of classical music, poetry, memorable writing, books, plays and so forth."

SolaneStar, that info you posted is absolutely right on for me. All of it. Especially:

"Life Path 8s tend to be huge successes or major failures- often both in one life time." LOL!

"The 8 Life Path considers strife and stuggle to be a normal part of life, but the one thing an 8 cannot get over is infidelity. If a partner cheats on an 8, it is best for the 8 to let that person go. It would take a supernatural effort for the 8 to over it. Even if they stay with the partner, the 8 will never really be able to forgive them."

Rock on my fellow '8' ladies.

Grace Under Pressure ~ 29
__________________________________________________________________

The 29 is a number of perhaps the heaviest Karma of all. It tests the
person or entity it represents for spiritual strength, through trials
and tribulations echoing the Old Testament story of Job. The life is
filled with uncertainties, treachery, and deception from others,
unreliable friends, unexpected dangers - and considerable grief and
anxiety caused by members of the opposite sex. It's a number of grave
warnings in every area of the personal life and career. When 29 is the
Compound Key Number of the name, it's obvious that the spelling of the
name should be changed to lift this difficult vibration, unless one is a
masochist.

If 29 is the birth number, and thereby unavoidable, conscious effort
must be made to dilute and eventually to negate, neutralise, or erase
this karmic burden. It can, to a great extent, be eased by choosing a
new name (or spelling) with a strong positive Compound Key Number.
Further than this, the person born on the 29th day of any month should
do everything advised in Chapter 4 of "Star Signs" (sorry).

In the specific instance of the 29 vibration (bringing with it the
secondary vibration of 11, which should also be read regarding the way
to relieve the karmic burden) - remember that the development of
absolute faith in goodness and the power of the Self... the constant and
energetic cultivation of optimism... will act as a miraculous medicine
for the problems of the number 29.

After all, Job's burdens were finally lifted, when he had learned to
accept full responsibility for his troubles, and not to blame others or
seek revenge for the hurts he suffered. Not only did his long bad-luck
streak end at last, he was given back everything he'd lost, several
times over. So, if you were born on the 29th, change the vibration
of your name to a powerful number, such as 19, follow Job's example, and
soon you'll be as happy as - or happier than - anyone else.
Interestingly, the name "Job" equals the powerful Compound Number 10 - a
difficult vibration to defeat.

Hey Sue,

My birthday is a 38, which apparently means the same as 29 (though mine is from my total birthday, not just the day -which being the 26th would be an 8). As a result I've been considering a name change to deal with the power in my birthday. Think I can get away with the first name, "Rock?"

---------------

My middle name is the one I go by, since my dad and I share the same first name (and my parents didn't want confusion with people calling our names in both of our presences). This name is an 8 name. I was thinking about keeping it even if I get a name change for the sake of those who know me by that name. OMG! I just realized my current name is 4 8 8. That's interesting. I remember there was one site that warned against both of those numbers.

Anyway, I share the power or burden of 8 as well.

The combination of two 4s will bring, by addition, the 8 influence to bear, creating the very combination the ancients warn to avoid.

It seems to me that the people here who have the 8 vibration are really good (except me and I am really horrible of course).....maybe our burdens humble us somewhat......we are drawn together in our struggle so to speak.

The Scorp guy who teaches me fiddle is an 8 too, everyone loves him, he is a lovely man, and our son another lovely 8......so there you are we are THE BEST LOL !! :

Love to you Mr 8 of music

Hey....an 8 birthday here and cappy rising like 26....got 8s all over the place!!!!
Years ago, when I first read Star signs where Linda said to either avoid or embrace the 8s, I decided to embrace them. It has been a roller coaster ride for sure, but I also believe it is the excelerated path she spoke of. I do try to avoid the 4s. I never ever do anything important or critical on a 4 day...NEVER!! No sense in begging trouble!
