Are we on the same page ? ....But everyone also has a potential to go toward perfection according to whatever names they have. To receive the right signals you must polish your antenna -- or polish the mirror as they say in the mystical world -- and put it directly toward the satellite. Otherwise you will receive distorted pictures or snow. ..... That's interesting. So something that is merely reflective has the power to create. Why evil though? Wouldn't that depend on the viewer? Oh hang on, you could say the same statement with benevolence instead of evil? So why can't you live a holy life without abandoning benevolence?Dean. IP: Logged |

Dean,The proverbial mirror doesn't reflect anything. The "looking" is illusion's creator and the viewer is THE illusion that seems to be reflected. Whether an illusion appears evil or benevolent doesn't really have anything to do with what Siddartha said. IP: Logged |

But in a positive light, you could say the mirror creates benevolence Dean. IP: Logged |

Dean,I hear ya, but samsara is all about relativity and opposites... so with benevolence comes inevitible suffering. IP: Logged |
