Well, I think due to perfection. Pythagoras like all Greeks and Romans at the time loved the stuff. They lived for it. His system was perfect in that the numbers matched exactly the letters, and all Master numbers were double - 11, 22, 33, etc. Whereas the Chaldean system was completely arbitrary - not perfect. Which one is correct? Well, I have never used the Pythagorean system out of principle. I've found the Chaldean to be completely accurate and can appreiciate the fact that the numbers have "different personalities" and aren't perfect. Maybe also the thinkers at the time didn't like science to be interpretational, but I'm starting to appreciate that that too is reality. All is subjective. You know they thought everything was circles, but they weren't, they are elipses. Nothing's perfect except God. Just my onion, Stay beautiful Peace, Dean. IP: Logged |
