Whirling Rainbow ~~according to Gram Twylah, was the promise of peace among all nations and all people, no matter their color or creed. visualizing this rainbow of light whirling around a difficult situation or intentionally encircling a person, would help dispel disharmony. among other native peoples, this symbol has been used in sand paintings or rain gathering ceremonies to represent energies moving from all four directions to unite the whole. this nurturing symbol invites truth into our lives, shattering illusions of separation, bringing the 'rains' that cleanse and heal, and establishing the dream of peaceful co-existence. like the sign of cancer, the suggestion is to remove the discord from within the self, to help create unity with the whole. to do this one must face the issues, but not take them on solely as their own -- loving empathy expressed through the accurate teaching of responsible actions. the sacred path card -- whirling rainbow from 'shamanic philosophy' by sandy corcoran in volume 13, issue 4, of Indigo Sun magazine. www.indigosun.com love and light to all.... Thanks hedgewitch I remember only drawing rainbows in pre-school even when we were instructed to draw something else. I had a hard time in prep, I was painfully shy and had anxiety about being around other kids I didn't know, I used to escape in my rainbows, or books with rainbows in them. It's my earlist memory I have about rainsbows. ------------------ "...and dreams, don't ever forget, are the first step in manifesting wishes into reality" -Linda Goodman IP: Logged |
