I thought this will be fun. We all are fortunate to be physically alive and to have read this post. Thats great. A thought arose in my head as follows: Every night we set an alarm to 7AM. We sleep and assuming there was no dream we simply wake in the morning. During this sleep there appears to be no knowledge, wisdom , understanding. On the other hand lets say, I did have a dream, and a pleasant one that too, then I wake up smiling. The memory stayed with me even when I wake up. Same can be said of bad dreams. Ok I better be short before loosing what I want to say. Imagine that you are dead and you are in a sleep as well and when you awake, you see a brilliant light in front of you. You retained the memory of your earthly experience in your spirit (soul to some, thats ok), and you are to narrate to this light your experience. Its kind of like you are self rating yourself because this brilliant light is your higher self. Its Pure, radiant, eternal as long as time exists. Now, Imagine that when you speak the truth, your light increases and changes color. Your light will match the color of your higher self when you recount your experiences. The more good experiences a better match. Good does not mean, pain free. Good means what you have added to your knowledge/wisdom bank so that from this point on you will be clothed in your higher self and on your way to a King or Queen. However, if you do not have any good experience, something of value, then a layer of fleshy cloth is prepared for you, so that you may be ready for the next trip back to the earth. The question is what will you describe of your experiences on earth to this brilliant light in front of you when you awake from the dead. Lets be open, without fear of judgement. Let me begin with my experience, so far. Keeping it brief for the moment to get us an idea. I know that everyone will put down the 10 commandments. Or shall we hehehe.... Lets be different and write something different. Lets not make it up. Even one experience could carry the weight of the whole universe. It indeed would have taken you all that efforts to experience it. Here goes mine: * I have learnt that this world has its share of good and bad people. There are some bad people who came in to my life and caused me hurt. However I forgive them completely. I also sincerely hope that I didn't cause any grief to anyone. If I did, I may have done it with a higher purpose. It sounds arrogant. Explanation follows...Shshsh * I have learnt as a human, that parents are the first teachers of a child. It is a great responsibility to be parents. I salute those good parents especially mine. The only unconditional love, that I have found for me so far. May be I was meant to learn of that experience. * I have learnt that earthly love has no boundaries. When I had an awakening (or ah ha moment) its then I realized about how important it was to realize that all those experiences may have actually helped me to know my higher self so intimately. So much that I turned inward as did Narcissist in the Greek Mythology (not exactly but close) and wished to go in slumber and He actually did for a different reason though. [Its OK if you have not understood this. Point is my higher self will and so will yours.] Hope those things don't change in the future hehehe. IP: Logged |

IAT, incredible subject for a topic!...gives me much food for deep thought, but, that's typical for me anyways with Mercury in Scorpio. I'm going off to think about mine and will come back to post later. kisses Laura

this is so beautiful IAT.... i love the way you've worded this exercise.but are you asking about our experiences, actually relating them? or what we've learned from them, or both? guess i'll just try to relate what i feel that bright shining light might like to know. the moments that we come into contact with radiant souls, that transcend all the earthly things that we've known up to that point. when we can recognize those moments of pure light, when we actually rise from our physical bodies to touch spirit. that's beauty sublime. when we dream of intimate soul connections, those moments of our spirits touching another, in our dreams, making a connection that sustains us in our waking life... the knowledge that brings, that spirit and love exist beyond this mortal coil... another transcendent moment that takes us beyond our self-imposed boundaries and into the infinity of universal love. gazing upon a tiny beautiful creature that you've manifested into reality, with the hand and guidance of goddess of course, ..... and watching that little creature blossom and expand, in your nurturing care.... that's an example of the most awesome power of love...and creation. i hope all these examples of beauty realized reflect the brilliant colors with which that pure light vibrates. i know that they increase my own vibration with the light they generate when i meditate upon them....and they connect me to my higher self as well. thank you IAT, for that connection to our higher selves for a moment. BlueTopaz, Mercury in Scorpio..wow deep thinker. Can't wait to hear. ========================================= Svetlana, Incredible!!!The only thing constant is change itself. How true. ========================================= Moon666Child, #1 is so true. Being good is not enough. The All God desires each one to be perfect before we return to Him(er) and partake of His(er) kingdom as an inheritance. This I believe. ========================================= Hedgewitch, Hi. I was stirring the pot, so to speak and was wondering, what aroma comes up....I smell good fragrace of all you beautiful souls.....I was actually asking, what have we learnt from the experiences. I am sure everyone would automatically list good ones. However bad ones are welcome as well. Its optional. My belief is that with bad ones you may have to go back to earth so that you improvise. Also my belief is the soul collects as much wisdom as possible before returning. I for one do not believe in getting all the wisdom of the souls or all the wisdom of zodiac signs but only as much as possible. Ok as I further read your learnings, it kindda gave me goose bumps. LOL. You said "..radiant souls transcending earthly things.. " How true. I also believe that those lights reach the stars above which we cannot see in the waking state, although some do. Further you said regarding intimate soul connections, Yes how true. Feeling what the crashing waves on the shore feels when it returns to the sea. However this feeling is after the rating one-on-one with our higher self. Atleast thats what I believe LOL. You said "gazing upon a tiny beautiful creature....". How true, waking from a deep sleep and the memory of our soul replays, and we realize what we been thru and not realizing where are we going now. You said "reflect the brilliant colors with which that pure light vibrates...." How true. =========================================

Ok here goes some poems. The firs one is about a return home. quote:
How do I? How do I come back home" Do I return proud? Or do I return with no memory and no wisdom? Will I find someone Joyfully waiting for me? As my earthly mom does when I leave home for a long time? Or will I return with my head down in shame? Will I seek the light or hide in the darkness?
The next one is my higher self or consiousness speaking to me on my return
quote: While you were making love to your lover (not a forbidden one) it was me enjoying it. While you were strolling in the garden listening to the birds, it was me who was enjoying. While you were sleeping I was awake and while you were awake I didn't fell completely asleep. What you tasted on earth, I too relished it. While you were kind to that beggar on the street, it was I who participated as well in that act. While you were reading that favourite book of yours, it was my eyes reading it. Everything that you did in the light, I was present then. What you did in the darkness is not known to me. I am away from you then. I am not present in your delusions. No one can know me in that place. When you return to me, you carry all the senses that you have accumulated on earth and return to me. I dwell in your heart, and waiting to be awakened. Many die a thousand deaths and yet know me not.

Ok...these are what I am/have learned and some have been reinforced, some almost forgotten while learning valuable relationship lessons... ...always be the best person you can be. No matter what is going on, give the best parts of you in that moment to be able to feel good about what you contributed and feel good about what you walk away with, which is your experience and yourself, your dignity
...Forgive no matter what. It doesn't matter who is right or wrong, forgive them and myself. We are all human and in being human it is our job to help someone up and to help our natural tendency as an altruistic soul shine to make someone else's experience richer. Someone very famous once said: "Forgive them, for they know not what they do"...or something to that effect. ...We are all connected, if I say or do something to hurt someone, I am also hurting myself. Find a way to live and bring out the best in each other. ...always tell someone what they mean to you and how you value them - I may never have the chance to tell them again, so why not tell them now? ...think twice and then think again if I have something to say that may damage a valuable relationship. Something said without forethought could cause a lifetime of regret. Once said - it is out there and cannot be taken back. ...love really is all there is and can be found everywhere if we will only take our blinders off and look! Love is what sustains us and is why we are always searching for that one special relationship with someone to share that love. Instead of walking around feeling a lack of love, make a point of looking for it, seeing it in everything and you will never be without a source of love. Also, something appearing negative could really be a blessing in disguise. Our feelings about something, especially negative, colors our judgement towards something. As has been said before: "Change the way you look at things and the things you look at will change". Thank you IAT for this topic! Laura being a Sagittarius with an Aquarius Moon I am naturally philosophical with an altruistic tendancy towards others but have learned some of this the hard way!!! IP: Logged |

WOW! Great thread. What I've learnt in a nut shell:God is All Love is synonomous with God Fear is the opposite of Love Life is about conquering Fear and teaching people how to Love - having risen above personal Fears. Here is the cycle of Life! Hear the cycle of Life! Thanks IAmThat! I love watching you grow. Heaps of Love to All, Dean. IP: Logged |

Hi Dean, I love being around beautiful souls. Must be my venus placement in chart or my Libra ascendant I was thinking of your post on fear. At one time not very long ago, my philosophy was 'You become what you fear'. I spriralled when I watched Gabriel say that line in the movie 'Prophecy'.

I've learnt that sometimes you can't help people with their fear, and hence, maybe you can grow more without people. People are sources of great Love, but can also spread fear or more adequately, voids. Sometimes this should be avoided.Dean. IP: Logged |

Great topicI have tried in my life to compile a list of important attributes Honesty- I have not completely mastered this I still tell occasional white lies. I think it is OK to lie to prevent pain to another, like if someone has been really sick and they try to look nice and they don't, well I think I would say you look great. Integrity - to do what is right no matter what the cost to yourself, and to be as whole as possible within yourself. Authenticity- to really be yourself because that is where our greatness is Compassion- to always treat people with kindness though have not mastered this completely Forgiveness?? this I have not mastered, I will forgive many things but once someone has crossed that line I am unable to forgive and certainly not forget Love and light Cathy IP: Logged |

Alright, I'll duck back out now. I'm enjoying this thread. Gives me something to think on. _________________________________________ Scorpio sun, venus, mars, mercury and uranus Libra moon, pluto and asc. IP: Logged |

Hi Cathy, Hope you have been doing great. Nice to hear of your experiences as well. -IAT My own self inquires, how do I react when I am in an illusive field. Cathy's thoughts reflected well. But I must be very very careful of not attracting unwanted karma depending on the situation.

Hi Sue, I do not mind at all to share some of the experiences. I never told my parents about it, but I know that God sees and rewards them in His/Her own way. For instance :- * My dad always used to say, "There is only one God." He never force us go to temple, religiously or any other places of worship. Although I do remember he took me once or twice to a temple. He also never bothered us if he found his children reading the bible. I think all that helped me understanding God in later years in my own way. * India as you know is caste based. He belonged to a higer caste than my Mom. He did not care about this and did not heed his parents and simply married my Mom because he loved her. So should I really explain about the example he set. People only preach but never practice what they preach. Whereas I was experiencing a living example. * As per my mom, well she would hardly complain. Working during day time, and taking care of children. I do not think she really had a "Vacation" so to speak for more than 30 years that I remember. When I would return home late at night, she would not eat until I had eaten. Even making fresh bread so that I enjoy it. May be now after she is grown old and used to all these modern amenities, she speaks of taking a break. I really do not blame her. But until she had her rewards she was always in her present doing things without a fuss. I really do not know how to explain. May be its compassion within me that was touched when I noticed it. I believe that the holy ghost( a component of God) works around each one and knows about what we need. He/she makes it happen "When its time". Nothing is because of indifference in our lives. Its only our ignorance that makes us think that way. Each soul on this planet will bloom as a flower does when they realize this holy ghosts presence. Ok its not that my Mom and Dad are ideal. Each one of us are human beings and we make mistakes. We are gods with small g than God with capital G. We have several teachers on earth. Our parents, our own children if we have them. Our siblings. Our school. The priests of various religions. Our office neighbors. Our friends. The people we meet at bar. Quality of life depends on state of mind. Once a office worker asked me, why do I always see a smile on your face. I replied because its the state of my mind. I always chose to be happy what ever the situation. "Hakuna Matata". Its the Swahili language song from the movie Lion King. Science says that none of the emotions can last more than 1.25 days. Be it anger or sadness. Well some people stay depressed for weeks. Anything that lasts more than 1.25 days or 3 days I believe is not good for Us. Regards, IAT
