I've been searching and searching for an old thread that I thought was here in Universal Codes. I'd been talking about it with FK, and realized I hadn't saved a copy of my post, which I'd like to use perhaps another time.

I think the thread was begun by Meili's friend/alter ego, the one who could be so difficult, yet I can't remember her name. Or maybe it was not begun by her, but in the course of the thread she wrote a story about God, and people not recognizing him.

In response, I wrote my own little story about God/dess, and those whom she invited for dinner who did not realize that God was a She, and they ignored Her as She washed the dishes. When the finally realized it, they misinterpreted Her message, and went off and founded a new religion.

Randall, Pixie, 26T, do any of you remember it or where it might be? I have searched so many of my posts in UC, but just can't seem to find it.

Perhaps it disappeared into the LL ethers...

Thank you.

Was it moved to Global Unity? I remember at least one thread being moved there.

Is that the story you came up with while you were in the shower Trillian?

I don't know what made me think of that so pardon me if it's a mistake.

My God ... what a sad thread that was. Sad sad days.

It was a fun story, trill. But honestly ... neither God impressed me. The flashy man and the wishy-washy woman ... I'll pass on both.

Sad? Illuminating? Either way, history has it`s flavor, depending on ones taste

Good work, Aphrodite! I never would've found that. Ah, the human perception of God.

I'm astounded that I actually remembered you made it up while in the shower...I'm totally wierd.

Glad you found it. It's a gem!

Thank you ladies.

SunChild, I'm not surprised at all that you have such an excellent sense of awareness.

Aphrodite, thank you lovely lady! I'd no idea the thread had been moved, but I'm glad it was.

Tink I suppose that was a sad time. I wanted to find the thread because I might use the story, or aspects of it, for something else. It really wasn't meant to be anything but...well, kind of fun. An irreverant alternative, if you will. I get so tired of dogma and too many rules.

God/dess is beauty and light and ugly and dark. The limits we people place on God/dess reflect only our own needs...and I wanted the story to be a kind of anti-dogma, only an aspect of, rather than a true representation of God/dess.

So thank you very much ladies, and you too Dean.

Oops didn't see this until now...Universal Codes is much busier lately.

Do you mind if I keep your story, and share it with my friends? I don't think you would, but just thought I'd tell you that so you know how much I appreciate your work.

SunChild, you are a beautiful soul, I have enormous respect for you, and if there is something of value you find in that story, you may of course use it as you like.

If your friends read it, I would be interested to know their reactions, positive or negative.

Thanks Trillian.

I sent it off in an email to my two closest friends. I will surely provide you with their feedback.

Thanks SunChild. It's not vanity so much as it is a writer's need for feedback. I've heard artists say they'd rather evoke a negative response than an ambivalent one, and I think it's the same for writers.
