What does love mean to others?Do you think the word is used too freely and without sincerity. Lotusheartone said she loved me more than once and the last time, I must say did sound sincere......but this is a woman who called me dark, disgusting, evil and fake.......is this love......do you think? She judged me on more than one occasion......is this love? If I step away from this place I know in my heart I made a very strong attempt not to name call anyone...and I genuinely wanted to help those in need....I hope this shines thro...... I also know that there are a handful of people here who I feel love for.....they know who they are.....and I wouldnt dream of calling them names or hurting them in anyway. there is a thin line between love and hate, as they say. I am no good at faking it. I have a big heart and lots of love for many people. Maybe that is why I work in Daycare. IP: Logged |

Come on Sue, dont be such a baby. We all love you here and you know that. Every naughty mail of yours is so refreshing.
Sometimes, people undergo so much stress and tension that their anger is poured out on the first person who their subconscious mind thinks has what they dont have. They then regret for hours but Ego prevents the heartfelt apologies. You have true love. You advertize it. To some it adds to happiness to some others depending on their burdens it may add to resentment. That is all there is to it.IP: Logged |

Thanks Blue.......  Baby or not Iq,,,,wouldnt you be a little freaked by someone who declares their love and then labels someone as disgusting, dark, fake etc.....so you think that is acceptable behaviour do you..... I am just trying to make sense of things that I choose not to ignore anymore. Believe me I understand the overwhelming desire to dig deeper and figure something out.  I've got those 5 planets in scorp, too. Remember? My forehead is in a constant state of bandeged up from banging it against brick walls.But at some point you've got to ask yourself if it's worth it. At some point you have to wonder if you should just let it go and not worry about it. Don't let it eat at you. One thing Sue, I am not freaked out by Lotus at all. She is undergoing tremendous mental stress (whether she admits it or stays in denial is her freewill choice) as the man she thinks is her twin soul is treating her like bull sh*t. It does not matter what she says, even if she means bad, we just need to send her our detached compassion and thats it. You are 10 times luckier than her, you have a loving hubby and I am 100 times luckier, I am single [ROFL!!!]
Whats a few insults when we are so lucky???
Have you seen me wail for all the taunts and pin pricks you poke at me ??!

Love is a VERY serious thing for me. It ain't for the faint of heart. If I hate your ass that's it and if I love you that's it. I have NO in btwn.Sue your posts are an ABSOLUTE blast and I enjoy all of them! I read alot and observe much on this board and yours is one of the most mature voices around. I can never say i love someone unless i truley truely do..even if i know they are expecting it or wanting it..
i dont ever remember my parents telling me this..and i remember the first time i told my first son this...he was just 2 months old at the time..i couldnt even speak the words well and gees did i cry!! I make sure i tell it to my kids often..
Ive had guys ive been dating devestated that they say that they love me..but i couldnt say it in return..but i have to really feel it..its no small thing..
Just to add i been dating a cancer for a few weeks now...and sooo enjoying gettting to know him and a few times in messages and on the phone ive been tempted to say it to him(of course i wouldnt at this early stage) but it freaks me out...why would i be thinking that even??
And yes i dislike it when people can throw around the "i love you" with out any real emotion attatched to it.IP: Logged |

Wow, you know, I was waiting for a really great Love thread, and this one surprised me a little. I *love* the honesty!Sue, I honestly think Lotus loves you in her own personal way. I feel she sees the strength in you that she might be trying to find in herself. By her saying negative things to you, maybe she realises that you are different. Like following an idol, and then finding out they smoke which you totally detest. I feel like you're a big sister influence. You still love your sister right, even when they seem to have everything and you feel like crap. Anyhow, back to Love. I Love Love. I can't get enough of it, but I think in a totally different way than most people think. First of all, Gemini's teach Love is Awareness, and learn that Love is a feeling (Linda). Well, awareness is life IMO. To be aware of Love is to see the world spin. Fear, being the opposite, is in abundance too, but I tihnk because of evolution. You can't learnt to speak wothout grumbling right? Love is limitless. To love a complete stranger, and smile at them, or listen to their greivances, even when you're busy. I definitely don't do this enough, but I'm "aware" of it. When I say "Heaps of Love" at the end of a message (I also say that to my wife before I hang up the phone) I'm saying, I send this with Love. That I feel blessed to make this communication due to the Love that has extracted it our of me. That all is Love, and the communication has helped me realise that more - this is what I mean by limitless. Love is Infinite. Do we know how to Love? As much as we know how to use our brain (which I think is about five percent?). What we mostly call Love is a chemical dependency we have on something. My mum always said she loved me unconditionally, but this is a complete lie. Could she still love me if I left? Would she love me if I did something completely horrible to her and out family? I don't think so. There is a certain faith that these things won't happen. True unconditional love is nearly impossible. To Love the person as they pull the knife from you. This isn't piteous love, it's human love. "I Love your mistake that will allow me to go back home, to choose a new existance to experience more". Am I making sense? In closing, I LOVE Pearl Jam, so here is a song they wrote in dedication to some people that died in a concert of theirs. I'm sorry in advance to all the people who hate (fear?) Pearl Jam. quote:

Oh myWhat a beautiful soul you have Dean,,,,and I was gonna answer your reply in the other mod thread,,,but this seems more apt. Thanks so much for your wise and lovely words....they really went in deep with me..... And I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam...Alive, Black, Porch, etc etc brilliant and passionate stuff.....what I wouldnt give for a night with Eddie.....hahahahahahaha, of course I jest and as always... LOVE keeps my feet on the ground and my heart inside of my body haha... BTW lucky wife you have there.....

Thanks Sue! Your words brought tears to my eyes, but then, I also remembered another Pearl Jam song that I find very powerful. Have you heard Yellow Leadbetter? Notorious for the fact that Eddie can't be understood for 95 percent of the song. I love it though, and always get an image of a homeless man walking along a beach, looking at people on their porches (he uses that word a LOT) and thinking about life. There's also war themes in there too that make me question why we do it. I think it's all about money. Another song I love at the moment, is Hard to Imagine (both available in their Lost Dogs double CD). He repeats himself in that eerie way "Things were different then, all is different now, I tried to explain... somehow." This happens after a key change and tone change where it just always blows me away. Makes me shiver thinking about it.Heaps of Love,

Hey Dean...... No I never heard that Yellow Leadbetter song, but will get my hubbie to download it for me and have a listen thanks...... I had to smile when I saw the name Leadbetter....a girl I went to school with had the same surname and she was a right headcase....used to get into fist fights with people, and ended up having a baby 13 yrs.....God bless her..... She used to call me "hippy Sue".......hahahaha....we ended up becoming friends.....she was rough on the outside and soft on the inside...
