When adding your name.What is the rule of thumb?.For example:

Harry Connick Jr.

or

Harry Connick Junior

Which one is correct?.Can anybody help me?

Use the abbreviation if it is used as a title. Use the full word if it's actually the person's name (or nickname).

So as a title (meaning, the guy has the same name as his father):

Harry Connick Jr.

And if people called him "Junior" as a nickname:

Junior Connick or Harry "Junior" Connick

Or you can use it like this in conversation:

"I was referring to the junior Harry Connick."

In which case, you don't captialize it, as it's being used as an adjective, and not a title or a name.
