I'm not much into Advent, but I'm digging the quotes that they have: http://www.astro.com/h/cal/calendar_e.htm IP: Logged |

Nice quotes and pics! ------------------ "To learn is to live, to study is to grow, and growth is the measurement of life. The mind must be taught to think, the heart to feel, and the hands to labor. When these have been educated to their highest point, then is the time to offer them to the service of their fellowman, not before." - Manly P. Hall IP: Logged |

Hi Tink! Check this link out, it explains it nicely- http://collectibles.about.com/library/weekly/aa120101a.htm I didnt actually know the history or reason for it either, just growing up me and my brother would always get calenders for December and a chocolate or picture would be behind each day up to Christmas!! Hope that helps you!IP: Logged |

Thank you, Sun German, huh? That surprised me for some reason. I always thought of them as very Catholic. I was raised Protestant and I don't remember ever coming across them when I was young. I found this too. http://www.cresourcei.org/cyadvent.html IP: Logged |
