Have a numerolgy number of 25:

quote:
25 bestows spiritual wisdom gained through careful observation of people
and things, and worldly success by learning through experience. Its
strength comes from overcoming disappointments in the early life and
possessing the rare quality of learning from past mistakes. The
judgement is excellent, but it's not a material number; therefore,
financial benefits of a substantial nature must be gained through other
Compound numbers in the full birth and name numerological analysis.

Waiting for their next album is killing me. Anyone know when it's due and what it's called? I know this should probably be in FFA or nowhere, but I had to ask someone. Just been listening to them all day. Currently Loving Lost Dogs.

OK, to be more legit, here are all of their numbers (names from http://www.sonymusic.com/artists/PearlJam/bio/band.html ):

quote:
The entered name is eddie vedder.
__________________________________________________________________
The Number 45 has the same meaning as the 27
__________________________________________________________________

The Sceptre
__________________________________________________________________

This is an excellent, harmonious, and fortunate number of courage and
power, with a touch of enchantment. It blesses the person or entity it
represents with a promise of authority and command. It guarantees that
great rewards will come from the productive labours, the intellect, and
the imagination, that the creative faculties have grown good seeds which
are certain to reap a rich harvest. People (or entities) represented by
the Compound number 27 should always carry out their own original ideas
and plans, and not be intimidated or influenced by the diverse opinions
or opposition of others. 27 is a number of karmic reward, earned in more
than one previous incarnation.
__________________________________________________________________

Birth:

The number 23 has the following meaning:
__________________________________________________________________
The Number 23
__________________________________________________________________

The Royal Star of the Lion
__________________________________________________________________

This is a karmic reward number. 23 bestows, not only promise of success
in personal and career endeavours, it guarantees help from superiors and
protection from those in high places. It's a most fortunate number, and
greatly blesses with abundant grace the person or entity represented by
it. As always, the 23 must be considered along with other Single and
Compound Key numbers making up the full numerological analysis, which may
not be quite so fortunate. But other numbers don't have much of a chance
to bring about serious trouble when the Royal Star of the Lion is
present during difficult times. No number can challenge the Lion's
strength and win.

It's wise to remember that if the 23 is abused in the present life, it
could revert to an 18 or some other extremely difficult birth number in
the next. So one is warned not to fail to appreciate the benefits of the
23 and the 24 compound numbers, and not to allow such good fortune to
cause selfishness or a careless attitude toward spiritual values. The
temptation to indulge in promiscuity must be avoided; likewise a tendency
to overindulgence of all kinds.
__________________________________________________________________

The entered name is Stone Gossard.
__________________________________________________________________
The Number 11
__________________________________________________________________

A Lion Muzzled - A Clenched Fist
__________________________________________________________________

This is a number of hidden trials and treachery from others. It
represents two members of the same or opposite sex - or two opposed
situations. In either case, compatibility of interest is lacking, and
interference from a third force must be conquered. The difficulties may
also arise from the illusion of separation. It's necessary to unite
divided goals to avoid a sense of frustrated incompletion. The third,
interfering force can be a person or an idea; and it can take the form
of a refusal to see the other side as an obstacle to harmony. The
origin of the separating force must be identified, an attempt to made to
seek compromise. Occasionally, conflicting desires within one's own self
are seen as in a reflecting mirror. Two forces or two desires stand
apart and must ultimately unite for happiness. Yet, each must remain
individual, even after being joined, for each possess its own worth.
__________________________________________________________________

Birth:

The number 20 has the following meaning:
__________________________________________________________________
The Number 20
__________________________________________________________________

The Awakening
__________________________________________________________________

In addition to being called "The Awakening," this Compound number is
also pictured by the ancient Chaldeans as "The Judgement." It has a
peculiar interpretation, and is symbolised as "a winged angel, sounding
a trumpet, while from below, a man, woman, and child are seen arising
from a tomb, with their hands clasped in prayer." At some time in the
experience of the person or entity represented by the number 20, there is
a powerful awakening, bringing a new purpose, new plans, new ambitions -
the call to action for some great cause or ideal. There may be
occasional delays and obstacles to one's plans, but these may be
conquered through developing patience (the challenge of the number 20)
and by continually cultivating faith in one's own powers to transform.
20 brings the blessing of vivid precognitive dreams, plus the ability to
ability to manifest the happy ones, and cancel the negative ones. It is
not a material number, therefore is doubtful regarding financial
success. If large sums of money are necessary for practical support of
the new cause or ideal, then one may choose a more positive
materialistic number by changing the spelling of the name, assuming the
20 is the birth number. If the 20 is the name number, then, hopefully,
the birth number will bestow a more fortunate financial vibration.
However, those who are comfortable with their 20 vibration seldom care
about matters of finance. Money is not important to them - and the 20
will, as a general rule, provide enough for the basic necessities.
__________________________________________________________________

The entered name is Mike McCready .
__________________________________________________________________
The Number 35 has the same meaning as the 26
__________________________________________________________________

Partnerships
__________________________________________________________________

This Compound number vibrates, in a strange way, to a unique kind
power, based on compassion and unselfishness, with the ability to help
others, but not always the Self. 26 is full of contradictions. It warns
of dangers, disappointments, and failure, especially regarding the
ambitions, brought about through bad advice, association with others,
and unhappy partnerships of all kinds. If 26 is the Compound Key Number
of the name, it might be best to change the name to achieve a more
fortunate influence. If 26 is the birth number, and therefore cannot be
altered, the person is counselled to avoid partnerships, and pursue the
career alone, not heeding even the well-intentioned advice of others,
but follow only the personal hunches and intuition - although these
should be carefully examined for flaws before acting on them. 26 people
should begin at once to stabilize the income, to save money, and not
behave in an extravagant manner or invest in other peoples ideas. Invest
in your own future, be generous with others, especially those in need,
but also build a solid foundation for the future for yourself.

There is a chapter in "Star Signs" by Linda Goodman that is dedicated
to the numbers 4 and 8 as these are the Numbers of Fate and Destiny.
These pages are not included in this program as they are quite lengthy
and involved. Any number that reduces to these are explained further
in Linda's book.
__________________________________________________________________

Birth is a 5 - no compound.

The entered name is Matt Cameron.
__________________________________________________________________
The Number 13
__________________________________________________________________

Regeneration - Change
__________________________________________________________________

13 is not an unlucky number, as many people believe. The ancients
claimed that "he who understands how to use the number 13 will be given
power and dominion." The symbol 13 is a skeleton, or death, with a
scythe, reaping down men in a field of new-grown grass, where young
faces and heads appear to be thrusting through the ground and emerging
on all sides. 13 is a number of upheaval, so that new ground may be
broken. It's associated with power, which, if used for selfish purpose,
will bring destruction upon itself. There is a warning of the unknown
and the unexpected. Adapting to change gracefully will bring out the
strength of the 13 vibration, and decrease any potential negative. 13 is
associated with genius - also with explorers, breaking the orthodox and
new discoveries of all kinds.

There is a chapter in "Star Signs" by Linda Goodman that is dedicated
to the numbers 4 and 8 as these are the Numbers of Fate and Destiny.

__________________________________________________________________

Birth:

The number 28 has the following meaning:
__________________________________________________________________
The Number 28
__________________________________________________________________

The Trusting Lamb
__________________________________________________________________

28 is the number of puzzling and frustrating contradictions. It
symbolizes a person (or entity) of fine promise, even genius, and great
possibilities, with the capability of achieving impressive success, and
the 28 person frequently does realize such success, only to see
everything taken away unless he or she has carefully provided for the
future. It indicates loss through misplaced trust in others, powerful
opposition from enemies and competitors in business or career, danger of
serious losses in courts of law - and the possibility of having to begin
the life path over and over again. If 28 is the name number, one might
wish to change the spelling to achieve a more harmonious and fortunate
number. When 28 is the birth number and therefore can't be altered, the
karmic lessons of prudence, caution, and well-laid plans must be learned
and practised. When this is done, the negative aspect of the 28
vibration will be substantially diluted. The key is to look before you
leap.

Birth:

The number 10 has the following meaning:
__________________________________________________________________
The Number 10
__________________________________________________________________

The Wheel of Fortune
__________________________________________________________________

10 is symbolized by Isis and Osiris. A number of rise and fall,
according to personal desire. The name will be known for good or evil,
depending on the action chosen. 10 is capable of arousing the extreme
responses of love or hate - respect or fear. There is no middle ground
between honour or dishonour. Every event is self-determined. 10 is the
symbol of LOve and LIght, which create all that can be imagined, and
also contains the code: Image 10 Ordain. Image it, and it shall be.
Ordain it, and it will materialise. The power for manifesting creative
concepts into reality is inherent, but must be used with wisdom, since
the power for absolute creation contains the polarity power for absolute
destruction. Self-discipline and infinite compassion must accompany the
gift of the former to avoid the tragedy of the latter. Discipline must
precede Dominion. Unfortunately, some 10 people fail to recognize their
power potential, and consequently harbour deep-seated feelings of
frustration, causing them to feel unfulfilled, and to occasionally
behave in somewhat proud and arrogant manner to cover such unnecessary
feelings of inferiority.

Yeah, I'll never forget the day I got Vitalogy on a tape casset. A radio station wokr me up for days with Spin the Black Circle. I loved that song - really gave you energy to start the day. I only realised in the last year that it's about vinyls. See, the thing is, they're touring Canada, then finally South America supposedly promoting their latest album which was supposed to come out in November, I thought, but I must be completely wrong. I've also read that it's an anticipated album and could get them on the charts again. I've no doubt that they have the ability if they wanted it, and in fact, I think they should've created a film clip for Love Boat Captain, and maybe I am Mine for that matter. Actually, I seem to recall that they did.

Was Vitalogy the last album you bought? I'vw heard that from people. I think they're all amazing. Very spiritual, soulful, rythmic music. Artistic album art and words. Oh, I just can't wait!

you're too cool Dean!

Not For You

Restless soul, enjoy your youth
Like muhammad hits the truth
Can’t escape from the common rule
If you hate something, don’t you do it too...too...

Small my table, a-sets just two
Got so crowded, I can’t make room
Oh, where did they come from?
Stormed my room!
And you dare say it belongs to you...to you...

This is not for you (3x)
Oh, not for you...ah, you...

...scream...my friends...don’t call me...
...friends, no they don’t scream...
...my friends don’t call...my friends don’t...

All that’s sacred comes from youth
Dedication, naive and true
With no power, nothing to do
I still remember, why don’t you...don’t you...

This is not for you (3x)
Oh, never was for you...**** you...
This is not for you...
Oh, this is not for you...yeah, you...
This is not for you...
Oh, not for you...
Oh, you...

YES! I've Loved Not For You for years! Rearviewmirror is the best moshing song ever!

OK, my best (and if more than one in order of bestness):

Ten: Black, Alive, Release
Vs: EWBTCIAST, Rearviewmirror, WMA
Vitalogy: Not For You, Spin the Black Circle, Satan's Bed, Tremor Chrisr
No Code: In My Tree, Present Tense
Yield: Faithful, Do the Evolution
Binaural: Light Years, Insignificance, Soon Forget
Riot Act: Love Boat Captain, Green Disease, Save You, Can't Keep, I Am Mine
Lost Dogs: Hard to Imagine, Yellow Leadbetter
Other rarities: Untitled from Live on Two Legs. "I can be there in ten minutes or so" is such a cool line! They're all so good really. My least liked song is Dissident. Riffs are just too high pitched.

My wife's said I'm not allowed to talk about them for one month, but I guess here's OK

Thanks LALALinda!

yes dean, it was vitalogy on vinyl. actually my closest friend at the time - her very first boyfriend bought it for her with an acoustic guitar. i remember how very personal and spiritual it was - eddie vedder's voice definitely represents a sceptre. if i'm not mistaken - it was a grey color. something told me to look up the color (chakra wise) and this is what it said:

"CHALCEDONY: color-grey---chakra-7th-----augments emotional balance, vitality, stamina, endurance, energy, intensity, hardiness, nurturance, generosity, livliness, kindness, charity and friendliness. This stone imparts a mothering, loving energy." http://www.angelfire.com/rock2/crystals/stonesc_g.html

I know this isn't post your favorite Pearl Jam lyrics (but I can't help it) Heres my all time favorite.

for you dean..

There he goes

1, 2, 1, 2, 3...
Know a man, his face seems pulled and tense
Like he’s riding on a motorbike in the strongest winds
So I approach with tact, suggest that he should relax
But he’s always moving much too fast
Said he’ll see me on the flipside
On this trip he’s taken for a ride
He’s been taking too much on ...
There he goes with his perfectly unkept clothes
There he goes...

He’s yet to come back, but I see his picture
Doesn’t look the same up on the rack
We go way back

I wonder about his insides
It’s like his thoughts are too big for his size
He’s been taken, where, I don’t know?
Off he goes with his perfectly unkept clothes
And there he goes...

And now I rub my eyes, for he has returned!
Seems my preconceptions are what should have been burned
For he still smiles, and he’s still strong
Nothing’s changed, but the surrounding ********
That has grown

And now he’s home, and we’re laughing like we always did
My same old, same old friend
Until a quarter-to-ten

I saw the strain creep in
He seemed distracted and I know just what is gonna happen next
Before his first step, he’s off again

Hey Pix, you know, Pearl Jam actually has more than one definition - http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=pearl+jam . Eddie Vedder has a couple there too

amisha121877, that seems to explain them

lalalinda, if I were to post my best lyrics right now, it would have to be Sad. Man, that makes me cry. You can download a live version here - http://www.pearljamonline.it/public/05Can&UsRar/cd%20one/02e09.05.05%20Sad.mp3

You definitely need to read the words when you listen, as his words, as always, are barely legible But man, when you have the words, far out. The recorded version on Lost Dogs is also way better. He puts his soul into that version.

Sad

all the photographs are peeling
and colors turn to gray, he's stayin'
in his room with memories for days, he faced
an undertow of futures laid to waste, embraced
by the loss of one he could not replace
and there's no reason that she'd pass
and there is no god with the plan, it's sad
and his holiness is proof, it's sad
he could only love you, it's sad
the door swings through a passing fable
a fate we may delay, we say
holding on, to live within our embrace
eleven nights, he laid in bed
hoping that dreams would bring her back, it's sad
and his holiness is proof, it's sad
he could only love you, it's sad
holding his last breath, believing
he'll make his way
but she's not forgotten
he's haunted
he's searching for escape
if just one wish could bring her back, it's sent
and his holiness is proof, it's sad
he will always love you, it's sad

Words taken from this thread: http://forums.pearljam.com/showthread.php?t=151593 .

Heaps of Love,

Sundance Channel has a show called Iconoclasts Perhaps you have seen it, or have an On Demand feature with your cable. This show teams up seemingly unrelated personalities connecting in a very intense, and often spiritual way. Eddies was with a friend of his shite I just brain cramped his name Lars? No! Laird! The big blond surfer dude that took big wave surfing to the next level by having a jetski tow into Pipeline and Winamea. Really cool show. And in it they photographed a double double rainbow. I've never heard of one. We usually see the 180 degree rainbow, and (as a single) but in Hawaii a rare double occurs and if your in the air you can see the other 180. So.. a 360X2
    Other pairings
  • Mario Battali (chef) & Michael Stipe
  • Maya Angelo & Dave Chappelle
  • Micael Bayrishnikoff & Alice Waters (chef).

I wish I was a neutron bomb, for once I could go off
I wish I was a sacrifice but somehow still lived on
I wish I was a sentimental ornament you hung on
The Christmas tree, I wish I was the star that went on top
I wish I was the evidence, I wish I was the grounds
For 50 million hands upraised and open toward the sky

I wish I was a sailor with someone who waited for me
I wish I was as fortunate, as fortunate as me
I wish I was a messenger and all the news was good
I wish I was the full moon shining off a Camaro's hood

I wish I was an alien at home behind the sun
I wish I was the souvenir you kept your house key on
I wish I was the pedal brake that you depended on
I wish I was the verb 'to trust' and never let you down

I wish I was a radio song, the one that you turned up
I wish...
I wish...

Pearl Jam is certainly one of the most influential rock bands in the past thirty years. This is exemplified by the fact that so many other bands have imitated their sound!

Creed, Stained, Soul Asylum...the list goes on and on, can anyone else think of any imitators?

When does the next album come out?

STP became really popular using a very vedder-esque vocal in Plush. They were on the map before that song, but that was their breakout, and everyone said he sounded like the guy from Pearl Jam.

I think great voices are often mimicked by other bands. I've heard hints of Thom York (radiohead) vocals from lots of bands, too.
