If number 6 vibrates to Venus(Love & Marriage),then why do other numerologists say 6 represents: Pets, neighbors, community service and health?.Doesn't those words belong to Virgo?.Why Venus?. IP: Logged |

it almost sounds like they're speaking about the 6th house rather than numerology! And that does 'belong' to Virgo...------------------ ~Libra Sun / 29* Gemini Rising / Aquarius Moon~ IP: Logged |

Greetings...Well, that brings up a little issue I have with the way that Astrology is taught and understood in these times. We like to amalgamate the Signs, Houses and Planets into one melange so that no one knows where the Planet influence ends, to where the Signs begins, and then the Houses really get lost in the shuffle. The Teaching of an Astrological Alphabet of 12 letters, where 1 = 1st House = Aries = Mars all equate to the same thing is an injustice of major proportions to the Art of Astrology. The Houses are mundane. They rule departments of Life, people and circumstances. They do NOT rule parts of the body, nor do they describe psychological states. The Planets are the energies. They show people and actions, colored by the Signs through which they travel. The Planets may show things such as metabolism and pathology, how energies are used or abused, thus creating dis-ease. The Signs are like costumes that the planets don as they travel through them. They do Correspond to parts of the body, of the anatomy... though again, the houses do not. Now... the problem I have is a simple one. When everything can mean everything, than NOTHING means ANYTHING. We create a sloppy astrology that may hit more than it misses by sheer LUCK, and the fact that symbolism is a bit flexible... Numerology is it's own Art/Science. Though it is related by Correspondence to it's sister Astrology, it IS its own field, with its own scope and meaning. We can extrapolate additional meanings by association or correspondence to Planets to Numbers, but they do also have their own seperate characteristics. Make any sense? In the Light... Yes, perfect sense! However, I feel that Linda indicated that all objects (like iron), minerals (like rubies), plants (like daffodils), musical notes (like C Major), colours (like red), numbers (like 9), planets (like Mars), and sun signs (like Aries in this example) all have the "same" vibration. She said that if there was an experiment where all of these things were put into a red room with 9 people and a C-Major note was played on a violin for 27 seconds, that everything would levitate. I understood this to mean that the vibrations are harmonic - not necessarilly the same wavelength, but wavelengths that are all additive. So all of these objects may form a loopback resonance of some sort. I always dreamed of carrying out such an experiment, but I would never have the funding. Maybe some day. So anyway, do you agree with this line of thinking Aselzion? I understand what you mean about Houses. I never really got into them as I saw a rabit falling eternally down that hole. I mean, I like to stick to the facts, and Houses just don't hold too many for me. Seems to get messy. Just my onion Dean. IP: Logged |

Greetings Dean...Well.. yes and no. In that example Linda was conjecturing on increasing the 9 vibration. Yes they are all related by Correspondence. However when examining an Astrological chart, or evaluating Numerology, I feel that there is a difference, however slight. Mars rules Iron. Mars rules knives, and people who wield them such as butchers or surgeons. I won't get into making any comparisons there... That does NOT mean that knives, surgeons, butchers or Irons all fall under the sign Aries or the First House. And though they are related to Mars, that does not necessarily mean that they are also associated with the Number 9, which many Numerologists consider the number of the Humanitarian. Make any sense? Greetings...Hi Peace... Well, like Linda I do believe that the 9 vibration relates to the Planet Mars. I think one could pitch a fairly good case that it also relates to the Sun, see Numerology and the Divine Triangle by Faith Javane and Dusty Bunker. If I were going to relate the number 9 to a sign, I think I'd be tempted to go with Virgo, as Virgo corresponds to the 9th Higher Arcana card in the Tarot, The Hermit. Just a little different perspective from... The opinionated Astrologer... A P.S. In that case, I'd say that the sign Aquarius relates to the Tarot Higher Arcana 17, The Star, and 17 reduces to 8. Interestingly enough, 8 is Saturn, and Saturn is the Ancient (and I believe true) ruler of Aquarius. But as always, I say use what works and Rings the Bell of Truth for you. In LVX... This is a great thread. I don't know much about numerology at all, just an general idea from Star Signs, and I agree that most of the books I have read on astrology aren't clear on the differences between the houses, planets, and signs. I did find one that related them in silly way that made it easier to remember, giving each planet a character and each sign the job the character had in the corporation or kingdom of You. The house was the nature of the environment that the character did his job in. So, for example, Mars in Libra in the 8th house would be a Warrior working as a Temple Dancer (or Diplomat, but isn't Temple Dancer a funnier visual? hehe) in the Scorpio world. I know that again, this blurs things a bit, which is why I was so facsinated with Azer's (is that right) comments. But it did help long ago to wrap my mind around the idea when other astrology books made little mention of difference.
