what do u guys think about some scientists having evidence the universe was not created by chance events but was rather designed by a intelligent creator. i have to say not all scientists support this theory but there is strong evidence for it. what im looking for is the strongest scientific evidence for life after death, i guess since im a virgo my critical mind needs proof i cant just have blnd faith. the best proof i have seen so far is near death experiences and out of body experiences that some poeple have had. scientists claim all those experiences derive from the brain, but that fails to explain all the experiences some people have had. has anyone here had out of body experiences that defy the brain theory? im sure there are many
more enlighted than me here, what do you guys think is the greatest scientific proof of life after death?

canadianguy, you're too hard on yourself. You're as enlightened as you allow yourse;f to be. Is the "brain-theory" something like only you exist and everything else is illusion or vice versa? In any case, we exist in "material" form and can't exactly change that at will (unless we figure it out) but what you're talking about is more other-dimensional stuff, which I think is good for sceptics to think about in the way that not everything has answers. I think I'm not explaining this properly. I used to be very sceptical until I read "Star Signs" then a lot of stuff happened to make me a "believer" and now everything is like normal again, but it's a choice. If you choose to be open-minded, then you should try reading a few books and thinking about disprooving them. The fact is, many things can't really be proven or disproven so at the end of the day, it's you choice as to how you take the information. The more science delves into matter/energy the more they will need to be open-minded to understand the results and ramifications. We are in the age of Aquarius.

Great question, and Welcome to LL!

Dean.

Dean,

I think the "brain theory" is suggesting that any OBE/NDE is thought or a manifestation of the brain. Could be wrong on that.

Proof of life after death is something I think about. so far I think some of the best evidence is when a close loved one communicates to someone through a dream. I recall as a child sitting at the breakfast table listening to my mother tell us how she woke up in the middle of the night and was praying for a neighbor/.We found out after school that the neighbor passed in the middle of the night. She did this several times.
All my siblings and I have dreamed similar dreams about my mother when she passed.

A friend who is a nurse at a terminally ill facility awoke one morning to find a male patient standing at the foot of his bed telling him that everything is alright now. He hurried to work to find that thie patient's bed and room were emptied.

The day my mother passed I did some art therapy and symbolized her as a pink rose. Then my godmother invited me to Denver to recooperate, I arrived almost a month later - end of October. The snow which was over several feet deep was mostly melted. We pulled into her driveway and she took me to her "dead" flower garden. A single stemmed salmon pink rose was growing amongst nothingness. She said she calls it the Eleanor Rose (my mother's name) because it bloomed spontaneously the day my mother passed.

My Aunt rose came to me two days before her death to tell me she was going to pass???!!!

There are countless stories of mothers knowing something is wrong with a child hundreds of miles away.Maybe not evidence of life after death but certainly that we are all interconnected.

I'm not certain there is an afterlife, maybe we become part of Jung's collective consciousness, but this is an intriguing concept to think about.
