Recently, my 3 year old daughter has been seeing a ghost in the window of our back door. By her initial and following reactions to it, I know she is not telling stories. She is afraid of "the guy" as she calls it and it kind of worries me. I asked her if he was just looking in the window, like she said, or if he was doing anything else, and she said that he is just looking in and just flying. The last time he was there, she eventually said that he went home and when I asked her where he lived, she said next to the house pointing to the same side that the door is on. We have only lived here for 2 months now . I also asked her to draw a picture of the man, and she drew him with mad looking eyebrows, a beard and what she said was a box that has little things on it, on his head. I would like to know if anyone might have any ideas what the box might be, and if this is a bad person what more i could do(besides telling him to go home, and burning sage and copal) and if this is dangerous. Also I must add that on all indidents, my husband checked thoroghly outside and she said he was there while we saw nothing. Please help she is really being frightened by this. IP: Logged |

This is just my opinion, but it is what I would tell my almost-three-year old ... I would say that the man is probably a ghost, but ghosts can't hurt people, and that we (your daughter and you) will find out what to do to make him go away. Just be honest. The next thing to do though, I don't know ... but I'm sure someone around here will have some ideas. IP: Logged |

Don't know if this will help but I had a friend that had her daughter (age 4 at the time and only person who saw the ghost)take salt and sprinkle it around the house while telling the ghost that she did not want it close to the house because it scared her. -Irish IP: Logged |

can you ask your daughter if she has had any dreams with this man in them or who looks almost like him - maybe, minus the box?IP: Logged |

Not trying to poop on the party here but little kids DO tend to imagine things. Lord save her if she doesn't grow out of it you know? They sometimes put people who see things in special facilities.IP: Logged |

Fayte, I have also played with the idea you are alluding to in my own mind and I am curious what you may believe. I question everything and will be suspicious of both sides, like a good Libra girl. As for the topic: My daughter, 3, claims to see a dinosaur that used to frighten her a lot, and although I know she finds regular dinosaurs "scary" at times and has learned of them through "kids" movies like Land Before Time, I also think there is a possibility that she is "seeing" something and that it could just take the shape of a dinosaur in order to scare her. I have sensed something that I don't like in the area she initially began pointing to in our room, but later she began to run from it when she would wander into another room when I was not there. She cries like she is genuinely scared and shaken. I bought her a lot of dinosaur toys, which has helped her face her fear of dinosaurs and she has also started to venture into different rooms alone again without claiming to be scared. I'm not sure WHAT was going on, and I always approach her with an open mind and belief, but try to reassure her and remind her to pray when she is frightened. I tell her if ANYONE OR ANYTHING ever tries to hurt her to yell for Mommy. Regular parenting magazines mention that children at this age have many irrational fears such as monsters and getting sucked down the bathtub drain-type fears. I think they can learn some idiotic things from television shows if parents aren't careful, which could cause such fears, but I also worry that there is always the possibility that it isn't an irrational fear. There are many mysteries in life and I still have much to learn. Those who said salt "around" the house, do you mean in a circle? I try to avoid getting caught up in physical cures for such situations, because it adds to my confusion and would probably lead me to some sort of obsessive/compulsive behaviors to "protect" myself etc. but I am curious if it is the circle or just the salt itself thrown anywhere that would help. Fayte,
Elaborate, please. Certainly, no biting from me.
I have friend who believes in angels. She keeps telling stories about her personal guardian angels (and think she has mentioned Archangel Michael). Lifewise she is doing really well, found the work she likes, took reiki courses, community work etc. A happy-looking and productive person, which is why I hope that whoever is on her side, is among the 'good guys'. On the other hand, I'm not good at taking anything at the face value and I have some difficulties with the angel-concept, so I'd very much like to hear you views. IP: Logged |

Fayte said: "Lets just say I do not believe the so called things folks call angels were here for the betterment of humanity" Yes, quite an interesting story, isn't it and yet it has not ended yet.

It sounds like an interesting opinion. I'd like to hear it too, fayte. I also tend to think we've been fooled more often than once by things posing as faeries and angels and the like. Angel is a very vague term and it's easy to become confused and lost in the translation when just talking about them, never mind an actual encounter. Be brave and sing your song, fayte. I'm sure we can all listen and behave. IP: Logged |

Has anyone noticed there often being ghosts of drunk men hanging out in front of grocery stores? I have noticed this at several different stores--they kind of walk through me and i feel them, but my 3rd eye isnt developed on the ghost-plane much. IP: Logged |
