What was your first reaction?

I can't decide what to think. It seems a lot of people actually haven't heard about gravity, and sattelite pictures! They think that if the earth was round, that people in Australia would fall off! But which way is up, and which way is down? It doesn't work like that in space! Ohmy!

Good grief. People still believe that? Well, I guess it's not impossible for the Earth to not be completely round... There's a planet in our Solar System; I think it's either Neptune or Uranus; that spins so fast that its sides bulge out so it appears sort of flattened. But certainly not 2-dimensional, it just has a more oval shape.

I doubt the same is true for Earth, though. I'll need to compare the velocity at which the planets spin for that...

But the sun being 32 miles in diameter, and circling the Earth only 3000 miles away from us? Where's the sense in that?

And why would the government hide such a thing anyway? -_-

Yeah, I don;t get the point. Maybe they're tying to give a Matrix feel to life, like we're part of a higher plan controlled by Aliens. Man, they should install Google Earth, that puts things into perspective.
