Many of us hope there is an afterlife, and now some Arizona scientists say they have proof through their afterlife experiments.

There are many people who say they have died and come back to life. They claim to have experienced an afterlife, even if for only a short time.

Scientists at The University of Arizona have done extensive research, and say that they have the proof that when we die we continue to live beyond our physical bodies.

"Almost anyone who sees the data says there's something real here," said one of the researchers.

Is There Life After Death?

Dr. Melvin Morse is a pediatrician who used to think that people who were interested in near-death experiences just wanted to be on television talk shows.

But something happened to one of his patients that changed his opinion. Now he believes the evidence points to something after life.

Most scientists will explain that near-death experiences are caused by the lack of oxygen in the brain in the last moments of life.

But Dr. Morse believes he's found evidence that it is a glimpse of something beyond our existence.

I believe there are real mediums and there are near death experiences.

My daughter in law had a near death experience a few years ago when she had what is normally a routine surgery of sinus scraping. She had a reaction to the anesthetic that caused her throat to swell around the respiratory tube in her throat during recovery. She could not breathe or call the nurse. She related to us that suddenly she was floating and looking down at herself on the bed. She saw her surgeon come into the room then suddenly run to the door shouting for help. The room was then filled with nurses and staff with a machine they brought in and they were all around her bed working to resuscitate her. When she came back into consciousness they were all still there. She described to them what she had seen and they were amazed as that is what actually happened. Her doctor told he was doing rounds and just happened to stop in to check on her and see how she was doing and realized she was not breathing.

Unfortunately from this incident she has vision problems she did not have before and a short term memory problem that has improved but was very bad for a long while after the incident.
