I'm curious about fasting. It has always had a traditional role in almost every major world religion. Who here has fasted, and for how long, what can one expect during a fast?

Please share your experiences!

Hello BlueRoamer-I have fasted for religious reasons. It teaches a LOT Of patience and gratitude. Dont expect it to be easy at first-but it DOES Get easier. Make sure you are getting ENOUGH water when you are not under fast. After 4-5 days-your body adjusts. GOOD LUCK!

Hi Blue!

I've fasted. I went w/o food for 11 days. I did the "Master Cleanse", that was recommended here. Survived those 11 days on water and a lemon-juice/cayanne pepper drink. And sea salt flushes. When I have more computer time, I'll give you the skinny.

....actually, I think I did in the thread in H:&H. I'll try and find that....

Okay. I'm about to make a confession.
I'm going to come clean here.

Durning my fast.................................I ate a Dorito. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ONLY ONE!!!
I think it was a Cool Ranch one. I dont remember now.
My roomate had gotten a bag and they were already open and he wasnt home, so I knew no one would ever find out. I had to. They were taunting me. I swear it was only one. Then I put the damn things right back in the cupboard where they belonged. Actually they belong in the trash but...
I STILL FASTED.
It was still a fast.
One chip doesnt count.
The rest of the time, I survived on that awful drink and water.
That's HUGE for a Taurus. Huge.

Taurus ~ I can soooo relate. I have a Taurus Moon and I did a week long fast and I started seeing visions of Taco Bell everywhere even though I never eat there! Ha. No one can understand the Taurean need for food but the Taureans.

I know, really. What a thing to eat. Just think of all the hydrogenated oils.
But I was weak. You know what I mean, Love.

Here's the thread, Blue. The drink wasnt actually that bad! http://www.linda-goodman.com/cgi-bin/ubb/search.cgi

Have fun on your quest!
