My 14 year old daughter recently told me that she awakened from sleep the other night with the physical feeling that she had fallen very hard "back into" her body. She said that a very loud sound, likened to thunder or gunshot accompanied the physical feeling as well as it being hard for her to breathe and feeling as if something had hit her on the chest. When she awoke, her cat was sitting beside her with very big eyes!

After explaining astral travel to her, she agreed that she had probably experienced the phenomenon, but could not remember dreaming or "traveling" anywhere.

She is a bit scared now and never experiencing astral travel myself, I can not advise her on first hand experience. I assured her it is totally normal and natural!

I might mention that she is very psychically sensitive in that she sees and hears "things" in the dark of night, and has become quite used to this!

Any advice, comments, similar stories?

My first thought on reading about your daughter's experience is that she should have some means of protection/grounding, especially if this is happening without her control. Crystals can be used for grounding, and Jasper (particularly the red kind) is said to facilitate safe astral travel. If you have a store near you that sells crystals, you should take your daughter there, and have her pick one out and keep it under her pillow as she sleeps. I personally keep a rose quartz wand & amethyst under mine.

Maybe someone else with more experience can provide more information here.

Thank you for your reply. I have many crystals in my house!!

She is an Aqua sun, almost all of her planets are in Aqua and Cap, Cancer asc.
I have a Pisces sun and am highly psychically sensitive as well, just in a different way than she is.

I did have other OBE experiences but returning to my body then did not result in the afore mentioned falling from a height fashion..

She went to the Sylvia Browne about the problem and she told her that everytime she is lying on her bed every night to ask her spirit guides to guide her so she won't land hard or wake up to early when her bodys doing the astral travel.

I have many Sylvia Browne books and have poured through them beacuse I remember her speaking of this phenomenon, but I forgot about the dream book, (thanks Zala!)

Interestingly enough, my daughter, Samantha, would go walking with her deceasd dad in her dreams, down the street where we live now, and all of this really excelled close to the 5th year anniv. of his death.

She prays every night and asks her spirit guides to make her travels safe. While she still has vivd dreams and "flies", she has not landed quite so hard lately.

She would also see thousands of little trolls taking turns walking by her window. Ugh that's scary.

She would actually sit for 3 hours straight and just count them.

When she would land hard on her bed her husband would feel it and wake up. He'd say Honey are you flying again?

But sylvia told her to pray to some woman ugh forgot her name. She said she takes care of lower levels.
