Add Joy to Your Daily Life

1. pay as much attention to the things that are working positively in your life as you do to those that are giving you trouble.

2. rake a big pile of leaves every fall and jump in it with someone you love.

3. memorize your favorite love poem.

4. learn three knock-knock jokes so you will always be ready to entertain children.

5. don't let weeds grow around your dreams.

6. remember that everyone you meet is afraid of something, loves something, and has lost something.

7. regardless of the situation, react with class.

8. let some things remain mysterious.

While the sun kissed the mountains blue
And eleven moons played across rainbows

Salome & TINK!
I am with you both on all that!
The simple pleasures!
I like making bubbles with my anodized bubble gun! And flying kites and watching sunrises and sunsets especially over water or wind swept wheat feilds.
Oh yes, those Celestial Tea messages are a delight are they not?

celestial seasonings peppermint chocolate cake

6 Peppermint tea bags
1 cup water
3 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup salted butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs, separated
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 cup plain yogurt
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Boil water in a small saucepan and add Peppermint tea bags. Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags, squeezing excess liquid into the pan. Return the tea to a boil. Place the chocolate and butter in a large bowl. Pour Peppermint tea over the top. Whisk until melted. Stir in sugar and egg yolks. In a separate bowl, mix baking soda and yogurt. Add to the chocolate and butter batter, and mix well. Sift flour and baking powder into the batter, and mix well. In a separate bowl, whip egg whites until stiff, then fold them into the batter. Pour into 2 greased and floured 8" round pans or one 9" X 13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes. Remove and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
