Hi Guys,I was wondering, do you look as you feel? By clarification, I mean, when you look in the mirror, do you see who you think you are, or do you feel different? I guess this question comes down to whether you've grown to know yourself, or whether you have always known that you are far more, but can you portray this through how you look? Dean. ------------------ I realized it for the first time in my life: there is nothing but mystery in the world, how it hides behind the fabric of our poor, browbeat days, shining brightly, and we don't even know it. I've thought about things on similar lines, and I think ultimately you have to express yourself regardless of your looks. I think doing so will reap great rewards. IP: Logged |

That's very true, AG. We project outwardly while we feel about ourselves inwardly. I know on days that I am not feeling well, say I have a bad cold or something, I look in the mirror and think I look awful. Weird as it is those days when I feel that way are the days I get the most compliments about the way I look. My husband has come to say " You must feel really bad today because you look great." lol IP: Logged |

Yes, well, I mean the representation of who we are as seen through our eyes. Have you ever looked into someone's eyes, and everything around them blacks out? And yet, have you looked into someone's face and seen they're soul independently from their physical face - like you see the light? I've found when people smile, I see their features less, likewise, my six month old son can make me see souls more clearly - there's no material walls when they're so young. But when I see myself, I like how I look, but always wonder how I could have a face etc, when really, I'm the soul behind that. But I think what it comes down to is that we have to come from somewhere, and hence we are productions of the genetic pool that created us, and yet, with evolution, I feel we will see more soular influences, and less material. Maybe Auras some in to it somewhere.Stay beautiful, Dean. IP: Logged |

I think this is a very interesting and worthy subject...I often experience moments of amazement when I actually look at my physical self. I am amazed because there actually is something there...I just don't usually feel very attatched to it. And yesterday I made a new friend at work, who is an absolutely stunning African woman. We were having a fairly deep conversation, and I kept noticing how I was seeing HER, not her actual face or body. I couldn't focus on her actual physical presence without losing track of the converstation...it was a spiritual conversation, not a physical one....hard to explain!TMC IP: Logged | |
