My pisces-boy and I are both number 4's. Bizarrely enough so is the cancer-guy I kinda had/have my eye on.

I know nothing about numerology, just how to work out the numbers. How do number 4's relate to one another?

Pisces-boy and I also share the same sun and moon signs, its kinda annoying how much of myself I see in him.

Well, they're both powerful and full of potential destiny - ie, the ability to control everything in your future. You must be careful to not be lax though, and you will attract powerful forces as well, and when more than one 4 people are together, this will be more intense. That said, you will learn a LOT from each other.
