I was thinking about religion and trying to make sense of the fact that, while I don't subscribe to any particular religion, I believe in most of them.

Then I wondered...

Why do we assume that it is upon death that we discover the ultimate truth? Who says the same thing happens to everyone? If on earth we decide who we want to be and how we want to live, then how do we know the afterlife does not allow this as well?

What I mean is that if you're a Christian now, then you may go to heaven or hell upon death. If you're a Buddhist, you may reincarnate. Or you may just stick around. Perhaps, as in life, there is no one way...

Kinda got me thinking.

That's a good point.

If we can manifest realities in our lives, why cannot we manifest realities in death?

Exactly what I'm saying! It never occurred to me before and leaves me with much food for thought...

And if it is not in death that we find our absolute, then when, if ever?

Interesting thoughts, future.

I've come to believe that our 'afterlife' is where the Grandest Adventure yet awaits.

Imagine manifesting entires landscapes with hope, vision and/or thought. We'll need to harness this power humbly, because we'll discover that there are still unexpected challenges, frustrations, hinderances, limitations (depending on various factors) and potentially harmful forces beyond our manifestations...just like here on Earth. The Universe is so expansive and full of surprise. We never have entire control of our surroundings. (other energies are at times manifesting/crosswiring into our own) All energy is united, yet seperate. Unpredictable at times.
Omnipotence....do we come to omnipotent understanding of truth when we die? I don't believe that even God is omnipotent.

In the sense that frequency of energy carries onward within us, our earthly philosophies and spiritual faiths shall too.
God was never a religion, nor a messiah.
God is boundary-less, agapy love, so could have no specific restrictive affiliation. God will be what we envision, flexible to the inclination of our belief, to a degree.
Perceived in a comforting way that we are comfortable perceiving, uniquely to us. But, I believe even God would surprise us and challenge us to perceive in broader ways, in timely waves as we are ready.

I wonder.
Will unresolved or unjust matters in our lives, weigh down our ability to fly through the skies of the AfterLife?
And so, perhaps the challenges that await us , will unburden and lighten us as we overcome them, becoming more intune and in alignment to a purer, delicately aware and honorable space of our Souls.
I do sense that many Grand Adventures await.

Great thoughts, future. There's a new book out that I really enjoyed that delves into this (and a whole lot more) : The Dissappearance of the Universe by Gary Renard. You'd probably like it.

future_uncertain,
I have been asking myself of the same questions. Perhaps there is no right answer and everyone has to choose between what is right and what is easy.

Cheers.
