Resonates.I do of course, have a couple of my customary constructive critcisms. The use of "manly" is a bit outdated, what does that even mean? I can tell what the author is getting at in the context, but I think he needs a different word. Also, people who are really severely depressed or mentally ill can't just change their thoughts. Mood has a powerful effect on cognition (thoughts), and its just not that "easy" for certain people to snap out of it. Say a girl was just raped. Is she supposed to just improve her thoughts and that'll make it all better? IP: Logged |

hey mr. roamer ~good points. i think the author wrote the book in the early 20th century when that was more acceptable. perhaps he wasn't as attuned to the divine feminine as modern sensibilities. IP: Logged |

necessary clarification ~ 'more acceptable' was in reference to the use of the word 'manly'...not the hypothetical situation. IP: Logged |
