Has anyone ever heard that name? If you have where did you hear it & what does it mean to you?

Just curious.

How are you Sunchild?

Yes, I have heard it (Zecharia Sitchin`s works) and it is my username at an astro forum

Now, can you spill the beans, why?

When I took mythology, I remember studying about the Babylonian goddess: Inanna Ishtar.
That's what I immediately thought of when I saw that name.

Greetings NosiS

Nice to meet you

Yes, Sitchin used both names Ashtar and Ishtar. As I recall interchangeably (Sumerian/Babylonian?). A bit rusty tho & would have to do a search.

Hello, juniperb! Nice to meet you, too.

Yes, I do often mix up all those cultures from the oh so fertile crescent. If I am not mistaken, Inanna is Sumerian and Ishtar is Babylonian. Is Ashtar a name used for her as well? I've not come across it.

Hi Juniperb

I guess I can say! I had a dream that my baby said to me " my real name is Ashtar". I've never heard anything like it in my life. I was hoping to receive some insight into the name.

I also did a google search and only found that this name comes up a lot in UFO and E.T channeling circles.

Ashtar Sheran, is the name given to a benevolent alien figure who forms part of the beliefs held by some members of the contactee movement. He is said to be the leader of Ashtar Command, and to be spreading messages of peace amongst mankind to prepare it to enter the Aquarian Age

Ishtar: Ancient Goddess of Love and War

The Witches' Goddess (book)

I also remember reading about Ishtar/Ashtar although it's been a while.

It's really amazing that you had that dream, though! Are you getting a feeling to name your daughter that or did you have another name selected already?

*Psss ... Hi, juni and NosiS!*

Hello, Eleanore!

SunChild, if I am reading into this correctly, then Congratulations on your entry into motherhood!!!
Among other possible connections, I was thinking of your dream possibly indicating that your child will be a daughter. Have you found out, yet?
It's just a musing, though. Like I've mentioned, I've not come across the name "Ashtar" before this post.

Thanks Sattvic.

Hi Eleanore , I already have a name, Tahlea, which came to my partner, so I think Ashtar would be perfect for her second name.

NosiS, Thanks! It is a girl!!!

Bluemoon, thanks for your research!

Sounds like she will be coming in with a strong Voice. One that is sure to be heard.

I think it's incredible that she's communicated her names to both you and D.
