Aselzion and other Tarot readers,

Any suggestions on good tarot books? I've studied the Tarot for some time now, but I'm looking for more in depth and older books. I have 3 books: The Tarot-History, Symbolism and Divination by Robert M. Place;
Introduction to Tarot- By Susan Levitt
The Everything Tarot Book by M.J Abadie.

I use the Rider-Waite deck

Cheers,
Silverstone

Greetings...

Hi Silver...

One of my "go to" books on Tarot, as a study/meditation and mind expanding tool is by Paul Foster Case, and is called The Tarot: Key to Ageless Wisdom. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

If you are really interested in learning about tarot in a much more Spiritual capacity and as a tool for Spiritual growth and development, I'd highly recommend the Builders of the Adytum correspondence course-work. They teach Tarot, Qabalah, Esoteric Astrology and the esoteric meaning of Sound Color and Number. It is what they call, college level work in the esoteric arts/science, and their courses can last years depending on the amount of time and dedication with which you work on them. See this link:

In terms of reading the cards for strictly divinatory purposes, then I like: Mastering the Tarot by Eden Gray. Also there's a book called Tarot Unveiled: The Method to Its Magic by Laura A. Clarson that I refer people to as well. (I also do recommend The Everything Tarot book that you referenced above)

There are many books out there, but these are my faves. Check out your local bookstore and flip through some of the other books out there and see what "speaks" to you.

Blessings...

A
