The other day I had a fascinating conversation with someone I know well who is a member of 'The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' ("Mormons")......and I asked this person why many of the temple rituals were so similar to those in Freemasonry, and asked if they knew whether Joseph Smith and others were Freemasons.

They did know, and didn't deny it as I expected....and said that the rituals were similar because the Freemasons are an ancient order going back to the 'Temple of Solomon'......

Of course, not many people know much about what goes on at the top, as there are (from what I've read) 33 degrees in Freemasonry, of which most never get past the first 3. The number of people who get to the top are extremely few, and it has to do with who you are.....bloodlines.

There is a guy called 'Leo Zagami' ('Confessions of an Illuminati) who has a website, but I'm not sure what to make of him yet.....he looks sort of 'shifty'....lol.....It is probably that beard.

I think it is extremely naeive to 'demonize' the Masonic order as there are so many different lodges and offshoots of it, etc.

However, it does seem possible that some of these became those used for 'negative'.....ie, with the goal of political domination and manipulation. Hitler was involved in Freemasonry, Kerry and Bush both belong to an offshoot of it called 'The Skull and Bones society'.

Members at the top of Freemasonry are those who are extremely rich, aristocratic bloodline.

Are people just scared of it, just because of the secrecy, or are more sinister 'forces' really at work? Perhaps there are some branches of it used for good, and others which have become corrupted through the ego?

So, if any of you know of some good and reliable sources of information or have information yourS-'elves'.....

Please feel free to share.......

Oh, and by the way, it is an order shrouded in a lot of secrecy; the majority of the members at the bottom having no idea of what the small minority at the top do. Most are sincere and caring people, simply seeking brotherhood.

My great grandfather was a 32nd degree mason. I don't know much about it, because my granfather refused to speak about it. He wouldn't consider joining. My dad told me he asked him about it and he just said, "I don't want to talk about it and I don't want to join."

I reaaally wanted my dad to join, but he refuses. He said that it is intense and he wants no part of it. (damn him!)

I can't become a mason since I'm a woman. If I were a man, with my great-grandfather's history, I could've gone high. (And then I could've told you all about it )

As it is, I could become a "Little Star"..or is it a "Little Flower?" I thought about joining, but decided not to.

I think it is probably fine until you get high up, which is what my father said, too.

I know many Freemasons. All decent, nice people. Also, not very high up. I have personal thoughts but I have yet to decide exactly what I believe. This site I am about to post is just a site I found when I was curious about it years ago.

I am not arguing or picking sides, but it is a good read.

Also, at the bottom is books to back up what this person says, so hopefully you can find some facts. Though, I never tried anything further. Good Luck.

Yep. I have seen that site and made a note of it so I can take a better look later on. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't getting too much information which is biased.

Hi LTT;

My grandfather was also a Freemason, but not sure about the grade he was in. I used to have a look on his books when I was a kid, but they were too far from my comprehension. I did not know that Freemasonry is only for men in some countries until I went to visit their Lodge there, back home without no success Now I'm living in the UK and I've read that the people at the top is indeed Aristocrat (Prince,Marquess & Duke) as LTT pointed but why is this? And what about "Rosicrucian People"? have they got any link in between?

Yes, supposedly another offshoot.

I've been reading some pretty negative stuff about Freemasons lately on the internet, but I'm out to seek the truth; no bias; no delusions; no prejudice.

"People always afraid of what is different"

Especially when kept in secrecy....then they get really suspicious and imaginations run wild.....
