God appears to man in any form that man is comfortable in. I am not putting out a new idea here. This is direct from the Vedas.

The west will scream "idol worship", "human worship", "blasphemy", and what not. Its all perception. Perception is deception.

I have seen a Jesus like figure alive right now in India. No she is not reported yet to have walked on water. There are many many outthere. But listing one I think will help the western mind understand what it means to be a deity. And she is a nobel prize winner for peace too like Al Gore.

If actions speaks louder than words. Then look at the contributions she has made to the many starving kids, tsunami victims, etc in Southern India.
I am amazed at the energy of this woman.
And her followers include eminent scientists in America.

I am not telling you become her devotee. But making you aware of whats happening in the world right now. Its a reminiscience of what happened or cud have happened in Jesus's time. And she is not born of a virgin woman. But does have earthly parents. I think they are at odd with her as she didn't marry and was devoted to God from a young age. Interesting.

Osho was acceptable to the west because he removed all idols around him. Put no bar on sex. Some west will rebel against Amma because she seems to be too iconic.

Perhaps I am too open heheh... I have seen all types of people. I thank God for making me born in the east and then coming here to the west. Travel always clears your misconception of people in that area.

Interesting huh.

Well people will say its her devotees that make her in to blah blah blah....
I don't think she wants to be worshipped. I mean what does one get out of it?

The west are forced to live with a Father God. What do they do if they want a mother Goddess? The east has thousands and thousands of Gods. The ancient people did so much research in those area. The same as the west has done research in nuclear science, rocket science, car manufacturing. We can't compare apples and Oranges. But what I want people to consider is that the kingdom of heaven is within you and outside of you. The east has worked on the inside and the west on the outside. I am not sure if any of these would make sense. Well I have to shine my light. I can't hide it can I?

Jesus may not have walked on water. They just merged his story with others.

In truth, we can all be Gods and Goddesses once we awaken.

LTT yeah I agree.

I heard her quote once saying why we must have leap of faith within us instead of her showing miracles all the time

There have been many who took India to the west in a big way. They have done it from time to time. Ppl like Rabindranath Tagore, Vivekananda, etc. Since these guys are masters in not only Indian languages like Hindi or Sanskrit but also English, so they help the west understand Indian thought in a big way.

This story by Tagore is a case in point, and basically details that one may offer one's worship to anyone but eventually it is God's. Like a student might worship his teacher, a child his parents, lovers, each other, etc. This, by the way, is Indian thought. I don't know if western readers are aware of it. The Devotee.

I emailed it to Fayte and am sure she'll vouch for it

I read about Mata Amritanandamayi or 'Amma' in Australian writer, Sarah McDonald's book, 'Holy Cow: An Indian Adventure'. She's called as the 'hugging doll' by many because she hugs and even kisses her followers and all who come to her. People, tourists, etc. simply line up everyday and she sits and hugs each of them.

She gave Indian Rupees 100 crores, that is: 1,000,000,000, (appox. US$ 25,000,000) for the tsunami relief. Here is the reference: http://www.encyclopedia.com/doc/1G1-126733024.html

Now, that is sure godly!
