Ask your body for advice "The body has its own way of knowing, a knowing that has little to do with logic, and much to do with truth, little to do with control, and much to do with acceptance, little to do with division and analysis, and much to do with union."
-- Marilyn Sewell Are you aware of your body’s wisdom? Our bodies usually know us better than our minds do. If you have a decision to make, consult your body before making a final choice. Reflect on an option before you and then pay attention to your body. Are you breathing deeply or barely at all? Are your muscles tense or relaxed? Is your energy blocked or flowing? Your body knows what it likes and it feels good when it's happy. As your body is the source of your vitality, your motivation, your inspiration and enthusiasm and most importantly, your intuition, it's best to get that part of you on-side if you are venturing into a new activity. "When you are saying that you are happy and you are not, there will be a disturbance in your breathing. Your breathing cannot be natural. It is impossible." -- Osho "Our inner guidance comes to us through our feelings and body wisdom first -- not through intellectual understanding. ...The intellect works best in service to our intuition, our inner guidance, soul, God or higher power -- whichever term we choose for the spiritual energy that animates life." -- Christiane Northrup IP: Logged |

so cool. i often misunderstood the idea that mind is all...that everything is mental...etc etc....until i realized that our mind is intricately interwined within our bodies. listening to your body is a form of tapping the innerworkings of your mind. your body/mind has to much to say. it is very wise to listen to it.attempting to override or suppress your body with ego/thoughts is an error. your body often will tell you, physically, what it is that your mind wants you to know. it can be sadly detrimental to ignore these promptings. good reminder. Please, there are yogis in the himalayas who bury their head in the mud and don't breathe and still survive many days. Will go in to the science some day. All matter is illusional. Just as little ego is required, care of Body is also required to get us to our destination. I agree though any conflicts must be eazed first.

I am not sure about the Yogis but I have always been a beleiver that my body tells me when I need to pay attenton to my health, being in the form of craving certain foods so I won't get sick (orange juice for example) to when I need to start exercising because I have been a bit lazy.I can't even take medicine for a headache, I have very litte resistance to any type of medicine, because I have always tried to overcome my pains without any pills. Anyway, this is good stuff! IP: Logged |

All experiences from self discovery are valid. Just bring awareness to that area. Every one is on a different speed to wards their enlightenment. Just be spontaneous and open naturally to infinite freedom within.

My only problem with the wisdom of the body is that other people can use it to inflict pain on me. Any thoughts on this?------------------ The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; Matthew 21:42 IP: Logged |

Yeah, if you are beautiful others may lust on your body. My advice stay away from people. If they are angry you will be affected as well. Only a Master has freedom to accept or refuse those feelings.IP: Logged |

Yes we are all connected. Masters can get away with those petty angers/lust etc because they expand themselves. But even Masters walk away and ask others to walk away if there is no connection between the two to learn and grow.Ordinary people must avoid company of people who are negative or fools in their initial journey. People do pick up thoughts of others.
