Didn't Linda Goodman write something to the effect of Jesus conquering the characteristics of all of the signs in order to become a separate thirteenth sign? Wouldn't that make him some of all the signs and yet none of them at the same time? Also, I agree, it really doesn't matter what sign he was when he was born (it would be interesting to know), but it is his words that have endured through the centuries, and that it is really the important thing. Also, I can't help but wander if the whole astrological sign issue is just another form of classifying and putting people into groups. I technically am not suppose to get along with a scorpio, but it means a lot to me to try anyway. For me there is something that I can learn them and I don't want to deny myself the opportunity. If he conquered the characteristics (hopefully the good ones) of all 12 signs then he can not be one of us.He is obviously at another level, if that was possible. But, if he existed he had to be born something so that would be interesting to know, when he was really born and if he did overcome all the negative traits of signs to become a "divine" being. I'll call it divine because we have to call it something, you can use alien or God if you want. But, even if he had conquered total balance of all signs can we really call that God or would it be just the next level. Random thought: it seems the thought of God and love is bringing me down to an empty force of nothing, that would be the only way to never ever hurt anyone with my actions, to just stay still, but if I just stay still in this body then I will be very lonely so what would be the point of my existence? hmmmmmmmm.......

A Breeze from the StarsNASA spacecraft are monitoring an interstellar wind coming from the constellation Ophiuchus. NASA Link to story audioListen to this story via streaming audio, a downloadable file, or get help. December 17, 2004: Every year in early December, something happens that can throw your horoscope out of whack. The sun enters Ophiuchus, the little-known 13th house of the zodiac. You've probably heard of Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius. The sun passes through these constellations, one by one, throughout the year. They're the ancient signs of the zodiac. Ophiuchus the Serpent BearerBut Ophiuchus? Modern astronomers don't divide the sky the same way ancient astronomers did. According to modern star maps, the sun cuts through a 13th constellation, Ophiuchus the Serpent Bearer, between Nov. 30th and Dec. 17th. Astrologically speaking, if you were born between those dates you're no longer a Sagittarian, you're an Ophiuchi! But that's another story.... This story is about what really happens when the sun enters the zodiac's 13th house: An interstellar wind hits our planet. see more at: http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2004/17dec_heliumstream.htm ------------------ IP: Logged |

Other Thirteenth and Forteenth Signs: There is some information available on the Internet about another '13th sign', Arachne, the Spider. This sign was first described in James Voghs' book Arachne Rising. However, the book was a hoax. Arachne Rising was science fiction. 'James Vogh' is a pseudonym of the science fiction author John Sladek, now deceased. http://www.geocities.com/astrologyconstellations/ophiuchus.htm

There is much much more to Astrology than "I'm a (insert Sun sign) and You're a (insert Sun sign) so we're not supposed to get along."C'mon over to the Astro forum here, and we'll check out the synastry between you and your Scorpio Note: From Steven Forrest: http://www.stevenforrest.com/lovehandles.html To me, in the realities of the astrological counselling room, there are two immutable premises: There is no manner of astrological interaction between two people that is so inherently sweet that enough selfishness, confusion about sex, or immaturity cannot turn it sour. There is no manner of astrological interaction between two people that is so inherently bitter that enough patience, devotion, and humility can not only make it last, but make it something precious to both people. From Bill Herbst: http://www.billherbst.com/ Human beings are not signs of the zodiac, and astrology neither reveals nor determines the quality of our consciousness. The expresson of our charts is largely a function of our maturity, rather than the other way around. Our species is chock full of human beings who are mired in seemingly permanent adolescence, no matter what their age or elevation in culture. From Liz Greene ~ I am always left with the feeling that if you only approach the issue of relationship in a technical way, by just comparing two charts or drawing up a composite chart, or any of the other range of techniques that we have, then some very fundamental, very important points get lost. To me, the thing that gets lost is the fact that every relationship contains an element of mystery that ultimately can't be defined, can't be explained. The essence of human interchange is like the essence of the person, and the essence of the person is not in the horoscope. I don't think we will ever find it in the horoscope. Bear in mind the fact that the chart you have in front of you could easily be that of a chicken, or of the opera society, for there is nothing in the chart that demonstates that it's human. But something works thru it which is uniquely the individual soul or individuality of the person. I believe this applies also to interchange between two people. The acknowledgement of some kind of mystery, some god at work, I believe is terribly important, because without that, all your techniques leave you, in the end, with unanswered questions. Love Signs... why it was written As you will discover in the book, there are many more Sun Signs with which we have the potential for easy compatability, sympathy and understanding than those with which we may find some degree of tension, antipathy or lack of communication..... more opportunities for Love and compassion than for hatred and mistrust in the harmonics of our solar system. Yet concerned men and women in all walks of Life, from geologists and ecologists to prohets and astrologers, persistently predict the possibility of appoaching cataclysms, both man-made and natural, bringing the danger of annihilations before the critical next decade has passed on this waning planet, so fast losing light. We have been warned, but few have heeded the warning. We have been called, but few have answered. For the earth to wax again, clearly a miracle is needed. By learning to use the wisdom of the planets, our co-Creators' code to Universal Truth, we may each create a fragment of the " RAINBOW-SPECTRUM " message of Peace on Earth to men...and women...of good will caroled by celestials over Bethlehem two thousand years ago to usher in the Pisces Age of the Gentle Nazerene, who asked us only to " Love one another," promising that what he did, we could " then do also." It's not too late, for the JOYOUS message of angelic hosts(not yet identtified) still rings its clarion call today...now ushering in the Aquarian Age...heralding hope to those who watch the skies and listen for the MUSIC. There could be, I think, no greater prulude to a miracle so needed, perhaps approaching sooner than we guess, than to employ the art of ancient wise men to pave the way for hie return witha New STAR QUEST for LOVE...Love of man for woman...and of both together then for every living plant and creature. For LOVE alone has the POWER to bring PEACE at history's twilight hour to Earthlings of good will. Linda Goodman In the Year of Our Lord 1978 IP: Logged | |
