I don't know but it brings me sadness too, BR

I hear some of the most awful things on the news and wonder how people could do those things to other human beings.

But I think ( I hope ) those people are in the minority.

Even the minor cruelties that go on during our lives. Name calling, making fun of eachothers apperances, pettiness...the childishness never ends...I sometimes feel like people are constantly insulting eachother for no reason, maybe just to get a rise

They are bored, don't meditate, and operate most consistently from a lower plane. When they struggle for energy with others it gives them a feeling of being alive. And sometimes a rush of power that is a sharp contrast to their usual feelings of impotency. Insults and judging others are all they've got. Many people don't Know there is a better way/place to recharge "power".

Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy.
There's nothing you can make that can't be made.
No one you can save that can't be saved.
Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be in time
It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
There's nothing you can know that isn't known.
Nothing you can see that isn't shown.
Nowhere you can be that isn't where you're meant to be.
It's easy.
All you need is love, all you need is love,
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.
All you need is love (all together now)
All you need is love (everybody)
All you need is love, love, love is all you need.

i think a lot of it has to do with outright lies. we are lied to from all corners....we take lies, from every sector, as gospel truth. then we hate. in what we feel is well-justified hatred. we feed off that hatred.

and the circle widens...the ripples expand.

and the lies continue. the hatred mutliplies, and poisons everything. the Unseelie laughs.

and karma keeps on spinning.

until there is so much sadness that we can no longer see straight, and hearts clench tight with so much fear and sickness.

but there are those who wait. who find the lost...and create a magic that melts the heart and sweeps clean the debris. and suddenly, we can breathe again. and know that hatred, at whatever the cost, is too expensive for purchase, ever again.

BlueRoamer,

Please don't be sad. Life is a prayer and its laughing continuously. If it didn't life won't exist. If the world is sad, its better the world ends.

We can make a change and we must be the change. The process.

One of the things I have been learning from this whole experience, is the amount of love that when push comes to shove, people are willing to give you when you need it. This has been very humbling and spiritually changing for me. The world is a fine place, and worth fighting for. The things that are good and whole and beautiful. Don't let them go, hold on to them for the hard times that life brings.

Life is good. People are beautiful, even the ones who are hurting and lash out at you. They don't know any better, and all you can do is to love them inspite of themselves.

Peace to each of you.
Hugs,
Amanda/GG

We are all half-awake to love;
still dreaming of the offenses against us,
and sleepwalking into one another.

What Melody and Amanda (GG) said was beautiful and true.

I am one of the worst offenders.
No doubt, BR, some of your sadness has been
at the sight of me and my "aggressiveness" here.
I can cop to it, and denounce it,
though I know I'll do it again,
and have to eat these words.
But thats okay.
I know I'm trying.
And no one is in a position to judge
the difficulty of my tests.
Just as I am in no position to judge another.

Its a strange magic...

When love is there, the only response is love;
anything else is just unthinkable.
However I may be provoked, whatever insult I may suffer,
my response is invariably understanding and sympathetic.

But when love is not there,
Oh - when love is not there, -
I will find any manner of excuse
to justify my sharp tongue.
And "the devil" is ready at my side,
feeding me ammunition;
I can be prolific in my assault.
Ironies are easy to see and insults are effortless.
I win every battle I take up,
but its always a hollow victory.

To catch ourselves.... To hold back.
Its a practice, a habit, and a high vocation.
We must prepare for it in times of peace,
if we are to be ready when troubles come.
We must remind ourselves and one another
frequently of love, or we will forget it.
"The readiness is all." - Hamlet

And we should remember,
no person has power to dishonor us.
Only we may dishonor ourselves,
by our actions and reactions,
if they be dishonorable.
The greatest dignity is won only by suffering
apparent indignities at the hands of others,
and returning them with kindness, forbearance, and good sense.

I owe you all a debt of gratitude,
for any time you have reminded me of love,
or tested me, and shown me my lack of it.

Thank you.

I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day
Their old familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet the words repeat
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

I thought how, as the day had come,
The belfries of all Christendom
Had rolled along the unbroken song
Of peace on earth, good will to men.

And in despair I bowed my head:
"There is no peace on earth," I said,
"For hate is strong and mocks the song
Of peace on earth, good will to men."

Then pealed the bells more loud and deep:
"God is not dead, nor doth he sleep;
The wrong shall fail, the right prevail,
With peace on earth, good will to men."

Till, ringing singing, on its way,
The world revolved from night to day,
A voice, a chime, a chant sublime,
Of peace on earth, good will to men!

(Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882), 1867)

When power becomes gracious and descends into the visible -- such descent I call beauty.
And there is nobody from whom I want beauty as much as from you who are powerful:
let your kindness be your final conquest.
Of all evil I deem you capable: therefore I want the good from you.
Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws.

I am a very little soul,
who can offer only very little things to the Lord.

I feel in me the vocation of the priest. With what love, O Jesus, I would take You in my hands when, at my voice, You would come down from heaven. And with what love would I give You to souls! But alas! while desiring to be a Priest, I admire and envy the humility of St. Francis of Assisi and I feel the vocation of imitating him in refusing the sublime dignity of the Priesthood.

O Jesus, my Love, my vocation, at last I have found it ... my vocation is Love! Yes, I have found my place in the Church and it is You, O my God, who have given me this place; in the heart of the Church, my Mother,
I shall be love.

Everything is a grace, everything is the direct effect of our father's love — difficulties, contradictions, humiliations, all the soul's miseries, her burdens, her needs — everything, because through them, she learns humility, realizes her weakness — Everything is a grace because everything is God's gift. Whatever be the character of life or its unexpected events — to the heart that loves, all is well.
~ Saint Therese of Lisieux

'Would you know your Lord's meaning in this thing? Know it well. Love was his meaning. Who showed it to you? Love. What did he show you? Love. Why did he show it? For love. Keep yourself therein and you shall know and understand more in the same. But you shall never know nor understand any other thing, forever.'

'My friends, how desperately do we need to be loved and to love. When Christ said that man does not live by bread alone, he spoke of a hunger. This hunger was not the hunger of the body. It was not the hunger for bread. He spoke of a hunger that begins deep down in the very depths of our being. He spoke of a need as vital as breath. He spoke of our hunger for love.
Love is something you and i must have. We must have it because our spirit feeds upon it. We must have it because without it we become weak and faint. Without love our self-esteem weakens. Without it our courage fails. Without love we can no longer look out confidently at the world. We turn inward and begin to feed upon our own personalities, and little by little we destroy ourselves.
With it we are creative. With it we march tirelessly. With it, and with it alone, we are able to sacrifice for others.'

- Chief Dan George
