Behind the Red Door: http://youtube.com/watch?v=frryMANMlgU Interview about the movie: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xu353u4rxxo&feature=related The talented photographer Natalie is having financial difficulties in New York. Her friend and agent Julia finds a two day job in Boston for US$ 20,000.00, and the reluctant Natalie accepts the work due to her need of money. When she arrives, she finds that she was hired by her arrogant gay brother Roy, a successful designer. Natalie has broken the relationship and they have not seen each other for ten years. When she finishes her assignment, Roy asks her to stay one more day for his birthday party, and after that he tells her that he has AIDS. Natalie stays with him and along his last days, their resentments change to fraternal love. Written by Claudio Carvalho, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil ------------------ Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year.... The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. ~Robert Frost

Yes. Just laugthing or even just crying would be a different kind of movie effect. I was aiming for the ones that made me laugh AND cry. Thanks for info about the other movie!IP: Logged |

Something that adds to the poignancy of the last scenes in Bicentennial Man... Some folks miss it... Watch Madame President's hair... It is black, then in the next scene, very very grey/white! So how many more years had passed?IP: Logged |

Lord of the Rings always makes me cry. This movie reminds me of home and I start to miss something I can't hardly remember. Some of the quotes in there, geez! There are so many good ones... GANDALF: "End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass, and then you see it..." PIPPIN: "Home is behind The world ahead and there are many paths to tread Through shadow to the edge of night until the stars are all alight Mist and shadow Cloud and shade All shall fade All shall... fade." And the movie Elf makes me laugh. Perhaps I'm thinking of it because I just saw it again. BUDDY: "You Stink. You smell like beef and cheese! You don't smell like Santa. You sit on a throne of lies. How can you live with yourself?" ------------------ `Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.' ~Lewis Carroll

Good one, Mirandee.. I was trying to think of one... One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. Girl, Interrupted was also in the same lines ------------------ Between the woods and frozen lake The darkest evening of the year.... The only other sound's the sweep Of easy wind and downy flake. The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, But I have promises to keep, And miles to go before I sleep, And miles to go before I sleep. ~Robert Frost IP: Logged |
