Light is nOthing...no thing that can be fraught with fight, though might there be in "Never!"- no thing that may be stopped in flight, nor captured by the clever. if "light" is where you seek to find a means with which to lever, you've only half of what you got and nothing you could sever. It is darkest just before dawn. Common sense will agree to that.A western will say - When all things fail, hope rises as a ray of light. A buddha will say any hope is bullocks. And desire gives rise to life. So don't hope and don't desire. Be nothing. Be empty Thats your true nature , and you are back home

For a snack I think "light" = fruit Otherwise, I would see light as a means of illuminating the senses. IP: Logged |

a lyric from the Beastie Boys:Darkness is not the opposite of light, it is the absence of light. ------------------ The truth is ... everything counts. Everything. Everything we do and everything we say. Everything helps or hurts; everything adds to or takes away from someone else. ~ Countee Cullen We are weaving character every day, and the way to weave the best character is to be kind and to be useful. Mannu GG... quote: Darkness is not the opposite of light, it is the absence of light.
Ahhhhh yes... when simply put... however we must then evaluate what is dark/darkness? In the physical reality we cannot see certain light, so we call it dark or not seen. Yet it is still light. Then taking the philosophical and esoteric concepts of darkness into consideration, a whole plethora of interpretations come into play. Sooo.... What is dark? What is darkness? Is it good or evil? Is it a color? Is it a mood? Is it a state of being, Physics or Esoterically speaking? Is it a taste? Is it a reaction? What is it? Is it nothing? Which leads to another concept... The mere fact that we have a word for "nothing" indicates that "nothing" is "something" and therefore cannot be "nothing" so what is "nothing"? I see the same paradox in discussions of What is "Light", "The Light", etcetera. Too many generalizations being attributed to the word "light. Like the word; present. Many totally different meanings to that word spelled present.

if all beings are chemically, genetically, emotionally, and spiritually different, then light and dark would never mean the same thing would they? I don't subscribe anymore to dark = evil, light = good. I think of it more as a positive state of thought/being, and a negative state of thought/being. Like during Kevin's treatments when people were thinking of us, or as some would say "sending light in your direction". This to me means that someone is caring enough about me/us to send out positive thoughts into the Universe. Generating a meaningful energy exchange. Does this make sense to you? It's like that time right after sunset when it has just gotten a bit too dark to see. it's very calming and grounding to me. Dark can be our friend and remind us to be here and centered just like light. ------------------ The truth is ... everything counts. Everything. Everything we do and everything we say. Everything helps or hurts; everything adds to or takes away from someone else. ~ Countee Cullen We are weaving character every day, and the way to weave the best character is to be kind and to be useful. To me, Light is Truth.
Love is the Compassion that interprets it. Light is Awareness of what is... Love is Compassion for what is... Light is Mind, Intelligence, Visions. . . Love is Heart, Compassion, Ideals. . . Without Light, Love is blind, foolish, and ineffectual. Without Love, Light is cold, undirected, and brutal. That's how I interpret it for myself, and it seems to be useful.

Light is The Source - Parabrahma/Allah. Light is all of us, in our Original forms. Light is Peace, Light is Love. Light will be the only religion on Earth, a few hundred years from now. This IS the Kingdom of God that Jesus promised. Light Channelling is not just Psychic Healing, it is the bringing down of Parabrahma down to our Earth, bringing down 'The Kindom of God'/'Satya Yuga' Love, IC.
