I am finally reading this book and I am in the last chapter of book one,and all I have to say is that I am SOOOOOO glad I am reading this.

Now, as the good student I always want to be I have to also say that a lot of the reading I have adone I already knew!
And no, this is not an ego thing were I have to be better or nothing like that, I am just glad that most of the feelings I have had in my life of what this life is about were what in deed what I thought they should be, of course if you have read the book then you will now that there is no right or wrong but in a way we make those decisions and I feel I belong somewhere now and this makes so much sense to me!

Now, for the freaky part...has anyone ever felt so good about someone's words that you are to the point were you want to be intimate with the source of the news, in this case God himself, yes ladies and gentlemen, when I read this book I just wanted to be his , flesh and all, isn't this weird? I mean I am writing this and reading it again before I click the send bottom and all I can do is just smile at this, Gosh I guess I really do confuse intimacy with love!!!! And when I say intimacy I don't mean just that but maybe just laying and cuddling and all that good stuff, I kind of just wanted God to hug me LOL

*Another lesson learned about me I guess, no wonder I am still alone.

But , this post was about this book and I so recommend this to everyone, I must admit too I might have to read this a couple times because it is kind of confusing at times.
Now, not all my questions have been answered but I still have to read the other 2 books so we'll see what happens with those but if not I guess I will keep searching, for now I just wanted to say real quick:
THANKS! Thank you to the people that recommended this book to me

Hi NAM, I'm glad you enjoyed the book

I recently read the trilogy and have had similar experiences as you. I read them back-to-back because I was hoooked! Hooked because the books told me exactly what I knew and what I wanted to hear. I didn't know everything such as what we assume to be right and wrong are only judgements on our part, but this answered alot for me and it resonated so deeply with me.

What you said about the intimate emotions you felt for God/Source, I felt this too- I wanted to be a part of God in every way possible, especailly sexually and emotionally. At the time I didn't think too much of it as I too thought it was because I was lonely as I haven't been in a relationship in a looong time. I'm glad you shared this NAM I think it was rather brave of you.

I also recommend this reading to everyone. But as it says in the books "when the student is ready". And it is true, that when one is ready to absorb the information within the books one will be guided to read them. For years I used to always flick through the pages of CWG books when I was in the bookshop but was never inspired to buy them until recently even though I was very curious. I now know why that is.

I am now reading about Rebirthing. It is really good for me at this time.
I wish you happy reading and thanks again for sharing this

I remember a year or so ago , I went to the store wanting to see what this hype is about. Flipped thru the pages but didn't hear anything that will wake me up. So I closed the book and left off. I remember going to his web site and his very masculine voice instead of making me fly made me feel pathetic because here comes another guy who is trying to orient people when they must really be disoriented from years of theology abuse. If you read the bible seriously - you will easily recognize that his choice of words in his books are very poor taste. He tried to maintain that fear in his voice at his web site. Sometimes I wonder if he was really having a conversation with God or his ego God

The point I am trying to make is that:
Everyones different and only some one from higher consiousness can recognize someone from lower. If they are at same level of consciousness they will have a friendly conversation and walk away.

No offense.

No offense Mannu because no one is judging this is something I try to live by and I understand now why the book makes so much sense to me, the day that you learn to love people unconditionally then you will know what I am talking about, then again the day I learn what is on your mind I maybe will know a new true or reality I haven't considered but that is athe beauty of it, there is no wrong as long as you are happy with who you are, and I am.

Now for the part I am not at peace with and I am going to have to read again is the romantic relationship with a partner, that seems like something is missing to me, but as I said I haven't read axthe otehr two books yet so we'll see.

I'm so happy you found words which helped you unlock the doors to your inner truth, Nam!

I do know what you mean.

I feel we all contain the essence of the "divine".

When we are able to shine, we magnetically draw others to us.

I'm very attracted to that light.

I do know what you mean.

God is smiling in you right now NAM, and it makes me smile too! I felt VERY similar when I first read the books, and keep looking at them wondering when I will be compelled to read again. I usually don't read a book twice, as often the magic is lost even if there is no memory. I'm also amazed at how often people reject this book out of principle. I never heard of them until I asked Lindaland *pleading* about why we were here - not from suicidal tendencies, but from a deep desire to understand SOMETHING about life. It gets to a point when the frustration of not knowing anything overrides the insecurity of asking, and then, as you said, the teacher appears. The first is the best, but you do need to read all three for "closure". There are many others though, but to me, it seems that things like this turn into a materialistic advertisement snowball (anyone heard of the Secret ) Anyhow, definitely worth a looking into by any skeptics out there. I double dare you. In fact, I'm willing to read a book that you suggest in order for you to read this one! I'm starting to lose the passion for Fantasy, but maybe that's just the current author I'm reading.

Anyhow, sorry for hijacking this thread. Anything from the books you'd like to debate? I saw the movie recently and have to say I wasn't impressed. The book was more accessible. I love the idea of just writing a whole bunch of questions, and then seeing the answers manifest. I don't really have questions as such, as I don't seem to know what to ask except fundamental curiosities.

Anyhow, great reads!

Cheers,
Dean.

God himself?

You've never seen God. How do you know it's not a woman or even an animal?

Do you even know if there really is one?

Have you seen it/she/or he?

Why is it even called God?

Because a book told us that?

Cup Cake... if the word "God" offends you, replace it with LOVE, or LIFE, or ETERNITY or UNLIMITED or TRUTH... The word God is an easier way I think to convey a certain intangible concept of the makings of the Universe.

The He or She doesn't matter too. We can call God "IT" if we so choose.

If God is everything and nothing at the same time, NOW HERE and NOWHERE, how would you describe this entity?

It all depends on the context. I am certain that NAM and the rest are aware that to define the Universe is essentially limiting it, but we are bound by language which forces us to define things not by their true nature, but instead to describe things in the easiest way that the next person can understand at least some of what you are trying to convey.

Yes, Unmoved very well said, God is not he/she/it it just "is".
Obviously this is my way if seeing it/feeling it.
Other people can give it the meaning they wish, I'm ok with that as well.

Thanks Sesame and Rubina , I have come up since with my own set of questions... but I don't want to share until I finish the other two books and for right now that is impossible since I just started a new job and I end my days exhausted.
Hopefully soon!

LOVE, or LIFE, or ETERNITY or UNLIMITED

Why replace God with those words. I don't even know this so called God.

He could be Hitler for all I know. Why even consider it love?

^ Been there, I am not going to judge you for your words nor I am going to come out and defend what I beleive; it is very simple why I am taking this stand.... "you need to go through some situations in life to understand this and you will on time", just keep searching for your answers...
there is a reason why you are here and there is a bigger reason why you picked this post to read and reply.

It's all good.

BTW~I am not the happiest of people and I don't have all the answers ; I also don't go to extremes with my beleifs and I certainly do not do any type of organized religion, but this book was very balancing and very close to what I beleive to be truth for me, this is why I like it, not because "someone" is telling me what to beleive , it is more of like having an agreement on words, it may or may not work the same for you but you can knock it until you read it.

Ok... I think we are thinking on different levels Cup Cake 143. I was just trying to clarify what NAM and the rest might mean when they were referring to this thing called God.

Forget what I said.

And yes, Hitler was God too. So are you God, if you wish. The components might not have the same name as the whole, but because they make up the whole, they are intrinsically the whole.

Why is an apple called an apple? Because someone decided to call it that, and it became a norm to describe that certain fruit as an apple. We can call the apple an orange, but it wouldn't change what it is. The name with which we call things are for the purposes of communication. That's what I meant to say. It does not necessarily describe what it is, but it is a way that we can convey ideas to each other.

In English, a chicken lays eggs. In the Zulu language, a chicken lays iqanda. These things are called different things but they represent the same thing.

Some people call God the life source, energy, the chi, etc. God is as you wish to see him because as I said, he is a dichotomy, that just is, but simultaneously, he is also that which is not. God is ALWAYS in ALL WAYS.

God is just a word to describe a natural phenomenon called life, the Universe, Truth, etc. But all this depends on one's beliefs.

But, I will stop there because I honestly think that we are communicating on different levels. I am merely speaking here in reference to the topic of CWG.

Also, an apple can be a rotten apple and still be God.

Thanks LTT. I first read these books about 6 years ago, and now I almost know them off by heart.

I always borrow my friends but they never return them, and so I have bought the trilogy, lus the other CWG books about 4 to 5 times. I never mind not getting it back because I figure that whoever has it needs it more than I do.

When I first listened to the link you provided, I thought it was a bit cheesy, but after a while I got into it. It is the first few pages of Book 1, innit?

Well, after years of reading other books, CWG is inspirational, but there are other parts of it that lose the plot for me, like in Book 3. Also, there is a chunk of commonly asked questions that I felt were deliberately left out. but, it is a recommended read nonetheless.

Enjoy guys.
