I'm pretty sure it is scientific fact that there is more external stimuli than the human mind can process..so naturally we are not always, or ever, aware of a huge fraction of "reality", or what has potential to be reality. What I want to know is , is there scientific research that shows HOW MUCH more information is out there compared to how much our minds can actually process? If any of you have any legit links to information about this, that's what I'm lookin for. Or if you want to elaborate on this feel free. IP: Logged |

I'd say the human mind, can probably process about a gigabyte of information per second, considering how many sensory channels we have.That's a gross estimate, maybe someone smart has come up with a real estimate. Maybe it's not even possible. I'm basing this on how much detail of movement we tend to see, against how much space a video takes up...then there's also audio and other modes of perception as well.
It's funny how sometimes the thing that is most obvious and glaring goes completely unnoticed to us!

I'm sure everyone knows we can only use like what? erhm 10 procent of our brains orso?What most of humanity doesn't know...is that we have to use that 10 procent like a stepping stone to get to higher grounds. Instead....we stay at one stepping stone(material world/this world)and do not move, ignoring the full potential of our mind. We have to train our minds, just like in this world we keep our bodies fit and healthy, the mind has muscles aswell(soto speak). We can only get to higher grounds by looking deep in ourselves. Then.....the fact of ''how much'' information doesn't exist, because your mind can do endless things and gather endless information.  IP: Logged |

Well, the 10% myth isn't true..it may be true that we only use a small amount at a time, and that is what I am looking for..------------------

Well I was just giving an exaxmple to explain it better, I'm not a big favor of science since it has only begun to understand reality.
