Trees are wonderful beings. We can gain so much from being around them and listening. It is the tree's pleasure to be an oxygen producer and sometimes also fruit-giver. Some trees stick around for thousands of years, rooted to the earth, recording history like a living book, only better because it isn't written through the biases of humanity, they actually hold the Truth truth.
Whenever lost or confused, it will never get old to go sit under, by, or next to a tree, even better if there is something the tree is offering you, like an apple, orange, etc... so communion can be made with it. Don't forget to say hi to the trees! I often forget, but today I re-noticed the peace that trees give me... and I made them a promise to try to carry their peace and listen for their voices

I love trees

"The tree is the greatest teacher"

"Trees give pleasure to a pilgrim, shade to a deer, berries to a bird, beauty to the land and health to humans, branches for fire, leaves to the soil. My mother used to say: 'The tree is the true teacher of humanity and the greatest teacher that we have – even greater than the Buddha.' I would ask her: 'What do you mean? There can be no greater teacher than the Buddha; the Buddha was the greatest teacher in India'. And my mother would say, 'But even the Buddha got his enlightenment while sitting under a tree'. Nowadays people don't get enlightenment, because they don't sit under a tree. That was such a wonderful teaching and I now realize how right she was. Because when I come to the tree I feel a sense of calm, a sense of healing – it is the true sustaining force of
the earth."~ Satish Kumar

Hi! thanks for reading and input

Yes, washington does have many great trees. I really do Love living here, to me it is the most beautiful place in the world, I am next to the sea and surrounded by forests. It makes me sooo happy!!
I was going to write this in Gaia's Garden, but then I saw the plant perception subtopic here, and felt it had to do more with Universal codes.

"the greatest teacher"...I couldn't have put it better myself! we can't get any misinformation from them...I could easily see why many people would become enlightened particularly beneath the banyan tree, look up some pictures of it, I'll try to post one though posting pictures has never worked for me before... ok i don't know how to do it

Right click on mouse on selected picture. Select "copy image location". Paste image location in desired place. At the beginning of the image location, place

Photobucket accounts are also very useful, which are free and can be set to private if preferred. Here one can alter the size of uploaded pictures from internet or pc.

It makes sense that trees give off a healing energy to us.

They release fresh oxygen, so when we're around trees, esp in a forest, we inhale a higher percentage of oxygen, making us feel more alert and energetic.

Our ancestors evolved in an arboreal environment.....trees are part of our long evolutionary history.
