I just wanted to express gratitude towards you for helping me see how my flippancy, carelessness, and brusque humor affects people.I see through your actions and your feelings how I make others feel when they are ignored. How I make other suffer when I offer a flippant response to a well thought out statement. Not everyone has the same sense of humor. Thank you for helping me grow and to be a better person. Thank you, BlueRoamer! No, not everyone has the same sense of humor, but I always thought ours were close. Closer than you may think. Your posts often make me laugh. To me, it's not a matter of us having different senses of humor though. I guess I just couldnt figure out why only a handful of posters here always got sincere well thought out responses from you and for the most part the rest of us did not. Granted, they are your friends offline, but I wonder sometimes why you would even bother starting a post and only respond genuinely to a certain select few. I guess I wondered why I, and some others were only deserving of flippant responses from you? Why would you do that; be hurtful to us in such a way? I mean, you seem like a sensitive and caring soul who knows that being insensitve to others only hurts oneself, so I guess I didnt quite understand what that was all about. I havent lost any sleep or cried over it , it was just more perplexing than anything else. Then again, not even so much, if I think about it for a few. Also, you have expressed many times that you like me, but I kind of couldnt believe you because of the sarcastic or joking comments I usually recieve from you. Please dont feel like it bothers me too much that you ignore or flippantly respond to me. It really doesnt. I deal with this kind of thing and worse everyday at work and have been for years. I have an understanding of it. It may irk me momentarily but I get over it quickly and see what is going on. Recently you reminded me of something I learned about in A Course In Miracles, too. Though I have barely gotten into that book I have skipped around in it in the past and learned quite a bit. Anyway, you reminded me about what is refered to as "specialness" and also the "system of special relationships". It's really too much to get into here and I think the lesson or reminder was being driven home for me moreso than for you. Point being simply, I must say thank you for helping me grow too.

ALS O:Not that you would, but please dont think I expect or even want you to change for me or anyone else. I really mean that. That is not what I am saying here. I you "as is". Keep being you. > IP: Logged |

26T I honestly have no idea why I would seem to do this pattern of just responding to certain people. I'm sure the people I respond to aren't always my favorites or people I'm friends with outside of LL (of which there are very few).I guess I am often just absent minded, pick up one comment and then just respond to it. I have an aversive personality, I tend to avoid and shut people out, so this may be part of it. I know that I have never intentionally shut you out. Sometimes if I think I only have something argumentative or negative to say in response to someone I will simply not say anything. I am learning to be more open to everyone. Thanks for your sincere response. IP: Logged |

No, seriously. Thank you for your response. I know you are trying, Blue. We're all doing the best we can, even when it might seem to others we are not. Keep up the good work, bud.Blessings IP: Logged |
