What you call those are not the Biblical angels, nor the deceivers. Well the term oversoul bothers me though because it indicates something outside ourselves...perhaps not actually a part of us or it would not be outside of us.
If it does not emanated from within, it is not of one.
The term angel is not a good one either, nor is oversoul in my opunion.
Meta Soul/God withing....yeah, but not angel or oversoul....
One has one soul within, not one in and one lording over on the outside.
One can stretch out that soul within and can appear out, or even be partially out, but that is their soul from within doing it not another soul controlling them.
Just my take.

I think the angels are us.
And that we are here to obtain to the highest level or allow ourselves to be guided by our higher self through our excistence here on earth, which is obtaining the highest level of excistence on this plane.
It is then that we are able to give love and light back, because once you know the truth, it sets you free.

lower entities are stuck in the lower planes..in spirit form, and can fool people..they will appear as you want them too! They have not mastered themSelves..
we may help free them..if they allow us
to free them, from this perdition, they have put themselves in, by wrong-doing, over and over again...
they grow stronger through our fear, and lack of understanding...

Its funny you should say know your darkness, love it and overcome it.
Because in my chart my Sun opposes Pluto so it has been essential in my life to form a balance between my inner good and evil. At first I had a hard time dealing with my dark side and literally my personality opposed it in everyway. But my Scorpio rising gave me the strength to not just deal with it but to incorporate its energy into my life. Which is the stage I am in now, and wow does the darkness have power or what. Whew! I am just glad I have learned to love it. And I have grown to love it as much as I love the light. I always remember the saying that "In the darkness, light shines the brightest"

Similiar indeed.
I have an Aries Sun, a Sag Moon, and Scorpio rising. I have Uranus almost completely conjunct my Ascendant and Neptune almost completely conjunct my Moon.
My Sun shines alone though, even though my Mars is in Aries too.
What was I thinking before I reincarnated? lol

I think you and I are saying the same thing just simply using different terminology. If so...then the lower ones you speak of are the ones who have deluded themselves and try to fool others by claiming to be ascended masters, guides, angels, and so forth.
They thrive on adoration and worship and controlling people, bedazzling and glamouring, sucking the energy fro the naive and gullible.
