Hi everyone!Well, I remember YEARS ago Linda saying something along the lines of us having two gurus, a harsh one who will teach us in a very strict way and who will 'break our hearts when they leave' -- and a loving one, who will teach by love and peace and fill our broken hearts again. Or something along those lines! Am I right?? I had a teacher I have known for 10 years and he just recently left me!! He was the 'harsh' teacher and I am left feeling such a void and practically crushed! Please tell me more about the two gurus Linda writes about! When is the 'loving' one supposed to appear.. I have only had the harsh one and though I have learned MUCH and am very thankful for the discipline and insight I have received, I feel so.. crushed and raw now. Does anyone know about the two gurus? I need more information please!! IP: Logged |

I've never heard this theory before but in order for the student to continue spiritually the guru must eventually leave otherwise a dependence is set up which would be contradictory to growth. Maybe you could try to be your own guru for a while and find the "loving one" in you. Also the best gurus are ones who tell you the truth about yourself, a teacher with insight and perception ultimately wisdom you don't have, but wish to integrate into your life. IP: Logged |

Scorp, Linda wrote about it in Star signs. And I don't think we are supposed to know when the loving guru will turn up. They may already have, you just won't be aware till much later. Have patience sweet thing. Life is one great long learning lesson. How do you know that "whoever" was your harsh guru? Do you feel you learnt anything? Don't confuse crappy relationships with teaching gurus. Sometimes they were just crappy relationships! But I must say...my harsh guru was a relationship....and it changed my life in an instant for the better. You know what they say "A watched kettle never boils" Not strictly true, but it seems to take longer so don't look for it..it WILL come.IP: Logged |

Hi Lovely, thank you for your reply. =)Yes, I definitely was in love with him. I knew him for nearly 10 years and I fell in love with him after only a few days of knowing him. We've been 'together' and it was fulfilling.. but somehow, we both instinctively *knew* that we weren't meant to be together for long. And yet, I allowed myself to become too attached to him.. I definitely agree with you that my attachment to him probably was a key reason why everything happened between us the way it did. He taught in a very harsh, drill-sergeant type of way, but beyond all of it.. he helped me become in touch with my own inner strength. It was (and is) painful, yet still very much worth every bit of pain to have learned everything that I did with him. I'd really love to find out where I read this idea though! I thought it was Linda's.. but perhaps I was wrong after all! Thank you for reminding me to focus within.. that was very thoughtful and warm of you. =) Have you experienced something like this personally?? Enjoy your night! -S IP: Logged |

'tis linda's my friend. she talked about how once we've decided to follow our own personal spiritual quest, we're not destined to walk the path alone..i think she used the quote 'i believe for everyone who's strayed someone will come to show the way',something along those lines. she then goes on to explain (this is in the preface/introduction of star signs btw) that we are entitled to our own personal guru(s) a cosmic teacher(s) who will help us realize the power within our own s-elves. the pattern of these teachers appearing she said, not always but usually is first the loving patient one who helps you get started, then the challenging one who earns your respect and who's lesson you only realize once he/she is gone.the third your loving one appears again and your cup runneth over..and finally your challenging one appears, this time treating you as equal. i believe this is the pattern she stated, forgive me if i'm wrong. ultimately, 'when the student is ready the teacher will appear'. hope i helped.love n peace -gooober ------------------ while the soul slumbers God talks to us in numbers..
