I have a friend who has always had a facination with mirrors. I don't believe it's an ego thing either, he just likes them. Any insight to this? ThanksIP: Logged |

mirrors~~, are they all around his house?, ....in dim candle light if you look into the mirror long enough sometimes one can see past lives or incarnations superimposed over our 3D face.

something with dimensions into other worlds maybe? if you stare at yourself long enough, its a bit unsettling. IP: Logged |

I love them! *look into glass, darkly*I have known people who can not look at themselves in the eyes. Many years ago I tried an exercise at a 'Reach' youth group when I was a teen. We had to look into a mirror while it was dark and talk about our insecurities. Truly, all I saw was happiness, Love and beauty. I said it out loud. I was almost alone in that. And most people said I was fake. Out of the 30 people that did this only 2% of us had a positive reaction. I saw what I wanted to see and what was really there, it was me, it was true, and still is. Is it ok to see beauty and love when you look at yourself without being judged as egocentric? Facing ourselves is scary for some.... I remember how it used to be. It's not like that at all now. This reminds me of the "Guardian of the Threshold" By Rudolf Steiner. It symbolises what it's like when one day, we ACTUALLY do have to face ourselves..

You know, I can see a lot of fascination with Mirrors. It's like you see yourself live (as opposed to on video). That's pretty uncanny! You see into your own eyes. You see your skin and hair change, your expressions - the way you must look to other people! I mean, it's amazing. I never really feel the way I look. I understand my physical form, because you need one to transport in a physical world, but I don't really get viewing it. As for some mirrors too - like the dark one mentioned, and my bathroom. Looks great! Until you're at work looking in THAT mirror. I think I should take all my shaving stuff to work!Heaps of Love, Dean. ------------------ I realized it for the first time in my life: there is nothing but mystery in the world, how it hides behind the fabric of our poor, browbeat days, shining brightly, and we don't even know it.
