How do you know if you, or someone you know, is an Indigo or Crystal Child or Adult?

We will describe the main features and characteristics of these people. But we want to stress that the Indigo/Crystal phenomenon is the next step in our evolution as a human species. We are all, in some way, becoming more like the Indigo and Crystal people. They are here to show us the way, and so the information can be applied more generally to all of us as we make the transition to the next stage of our growth and evolution.

chloe.jpg The Indigo Children have been incarnating on the Earth for the last 100 years. The early Indigos were pioneers and wayshowers. After World War II, a significant number were born, and these are the Indigo adults of today. However, in the 1970s a major wave of Indigos was born, and so we have a whole generation of Indigos who are now in their late twenties and early thirties who are about to take their place as leaders in the world. Indigos continued to born up to about 2000, with increasing abilities and degrees of technological and creative sophistication.

sarah.jpg The Crystal Children began to appear on the planet from about 2000, although some date them slightly earlier. These are extremely powerful children, whose main purpose is to take us to the next level in our evolution, and reveal to us our inner power and divinity. They function as a group consciousness rather than as individuals, and they live by the" Law of One" or Unity Consciousness. They are a powerful force for love and peace on the planet.

The Indigo and Crystal Adults are composed of two groups. Firstly, there are those who were born as Indigos and are now making the transition to Crystal. This means they undergo a spiritual and physical transformation that awakens their "Christ" or "Crystal" consciousness and links them with the Crystal children as part of the evolutionary wave of change. The second group is those who were born without these qualities, but have aquired or are in the process of aquiring them through their own hard work and the diligent following of a spiritual path. Yes, this means that all of us have the potential to be part of the emerging group of "human angels".

The following extract describes the difference between Indigo and Crystal Children. It is from Doreen Virtue's article Indigo and Crystal Children:

The first thing most people notice about Crystal Children is their eyes, large, penetrating, and wise beyond their years. Their eyes lock on and hypnotize you, while you realize your soul is being laid bare for the child to see. Perhaps you've noticed this special new "breed" of children rapidly populating our planet. They are happy, delightful and forgiving. This generation of new lightworkers, roughly ages 0 through 7, are like no previous generation. Ideal in many ways, they are the pointers for where humanity is headed ... and its a good direction!

The older children (approximately age 7 through 25), called "indigo Children", share some characteristics with the Crystal Children. Both generations are highly sensitive and psychic, and have important life purposes. The main difference is their temperament. Indigos have a warrior spirit, because their collective purpose is to mash down old systems that no longer serve us. They are here to quash government, educational, and legal systems that lack integrity. To accomplish this end, they need tempers and fiery determination.

Those adults who resist change and who value conformity may misunderstand the Indigos. They are often mislabeled with psychiatric diagnoses of Attention Deficit with Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Sadly, when they are medicated, the Indigos often lose their beautiful sensitivity, spiritual gifts and warrior energy..........In contrast, the Crystal Children are blissful and even-tempered. Sure, they may have tantrums occasionally, but these children are largely forgiving and easy-going. The Crystals are the generation who benefit from the Indigos trailblazing. First, the Indigo Children lead with a machete, cutting down anything that lacks integrity. Then the Crystal Children follow the cleared path, into a safer and more secure world.

The terms "Indigo" and "Crystal" were given to these two generations because they most accurately describe their aura colours and energy patterns. Indigo children have a lot of indigo blue in their auras. This is the colour of the "third eye chakra", which is the energy center inside the head located between the two eyebrows. This chakra regulates clairvoyance, or the ability to see energy, visions, and spirits. Many of the Indigo children are clairvoyant

The Crystal Children have opalescent auras, with beautiful multi-colours in pastel hues. This generation also shows a fascination for crystals and rocks......

Indigo Children can sense dishonesty, like a dog can sense fear. Indigos know when they're being lied to, patronized, or manipulated. And since their collective purpose is to usher us into a new world of integrity, the Indigos inner lie-detectors are integral. As mentioned before, this warrior spirit is threatening to some adults. And the Indigos are unable to conform to dysfunctional situations at home, work, or school. They don't have the ability to dissociate from their feelings and pretend like everything's okay ...unless they are medicated or sedated.

Crystal Children's innate spiritual gifts are also misunderstood. Specifically, their telepathic abilities which lead them to talk later in life.

In the new world which the Indigos are ushering in, we will all be much more aware of our intuitive thoughts and feelings. We won't rely so much upon the spoken or written word. Communication will be faster, more direct, and more honest, because it will be mind to mind. Already, increasing numbers of us are getting in touch with our psychic abilities. Our interest in the paranormal is at an all-time high, accompanied by books, television shows, and movies on the topic.

So, it's not surprising that the generation following the Indigos are incredibly telepathic. Many of the Crystal Children have delayed speech patterns, and its not uncommon for them to wait until they're 3 or 4 years old to begin speaking. But parents tell me they have no trouble communicating with their silent children. Far from it! The parents engage in mind-to-mind communication with their Crystal Children. And the Crystals use a combination of telepathy, self-fashioned sign language, and sounds (including song) to get their point across.

The trouble comes about when the Crystals are judged by medical and educational personnel as having "abnormal" speaking patterns. It's no coincidence that as the number of Crystals are born, that the number of diagnoses for autism is at a record high.

It's true that the Crystal Children are different from other generations. But why do we need to pathologize these differences? If the children are successfully communicating at home, and the parents are'nt reporting any problems... then why try to make a problem? The diagnostic criteria for autism is quite clear. It states that the autistic person lives in his or her own world, and is disconnected from other people. The autistic person doesn't talk because of an indifference to communicating with others.

Crystal Children are quite the opposite. They are among the most connected, communicative, caring and cuddly of any generation. They are also quite philosophical and spiritually gifted. And they display an unprecedented level of kindness and sensitivity to this world. Crystal Children spontaneously hug and care for people in need. An autistic person wouldn't do that!

In my book "The Care and Feeding of Indigo Children", I wrote that ADHD should stand for Attention Dialed into a Higher Dimension. This would more accurately describe that generation. In the same vein, Crystal Children don't warrant a label of autiem. They aren't autistic! They're AWE-tistic!

These children are worthy of awe, not labels of dysfunction. If anyone is dysfunctional, it's the systems that aren't accommodating the continuing evolution of the human species. If we shame the children with labels, or medicate them into submission, we will have undermined a heaven-sent gift. We will crush a civilization before its had time to take roots. Fortunately, there are many positive solutions and alternatives. And the same heaven that sent us the Crystal Children can assist those of us who are advocates for the children.........

The following is an extract from Celia's forthcoming book,"The Indigo-Crystal Adventure". which explains more about the metaphysical aspects of the Indigo-Crystal experience.

CHAPTER FIVE

GOLDEN AURAS, HUMAN ANGELS AND MULTI-DIMENSIONAL CONSCIOUSNESS

The Indigo and Crystal children that come to the planet are known as "starchildren". Often this is because their souls are more at home in the stars, and they have not incarnated on Earth before. They come at this time as a "special assignment" team to assist Earth and her inhabitants with their transition and rebirth as a higher dimensional "New Earth".

But while these beings appear like ordinary human beings, they do in fact have access to a greater range of human potential. They are more open to who they are, closer to a recognition of their divine origins and essence.

Indigo children are born onto the Indigo Soul Ray of Incarnation and Evolution. This means they have access to the gifts of clairvoyance and healing. They are also able to access what may be termed the Fourth and Fifth Dimensions of Consciousness, while most humans have access only to the Third and Fourth. This Higher Dimensional access, together with the Indigo Ray soul gifts, means that Indigos are naturally more intelligent, more sensitive and more clairvoyant. They are also creative, and often able to access the left and right brains with ease, making them artistically gifted, but also technologically competent and adventurous.

The Crystal children, on the other hand, are mostly born into the Gold Ray of Incarnation and Evolution. They are born on the Sixth Dimension of Consciousness, with the potential to open up rapidly to the Ninth Dimensional level of Full Christ Consciousness, and then from there to the Thirteenth Dimension which represents Universal Consciousness.

With these gifts and abilities, Crystal beings are immensely powerful and creative. Many of them carry the Gold and Magenta Rays, which makes them masters of creation, especially with light and sound. This manifests as artistic and musical creativity on the Earth plane. Those who carry the Indigo-Silver Ray, are also gifted as the "mothers" and "goddesses" of the planet, and carry the feminine vibration of healing and nurturing. Those on the Red-Gold Ray, on the other hand, carry the masculine vibration of manifestation and are often the leaders in the more active sense.

The Future Crystal child will be known as a "Rainbow Crystal" being. This is the fully developed Thirteen Dimensional Universal Human Being, able to carry and transmit all the Rays of Incarnation and Evolution within their vibrational field. There are Rainbow Crystal beings already on planet Earth, but they are yet to open into their full potential.

The exciting thing about these evolutionary developments, for ordinary people, is that the Indigo and Crystal beings bring these vibrations to the planet in order to share them with others. By their very presence, they assist others to move into these new vibrations and open up to their full potential as well. The Indigo-crystal gift to the planet is the gift of Evolution and access to our full potential, for every human being on the planet today, if they so choose.

At this point, many people who are allowing this shift or transition within their own auric fields, have moved from their original Third Dimensional state of awareness into the Indigo and then the Crystal states, with the assistance of the children who hold the vibration. These adults are now able to hold the Gold Ray of Evolution in their Eighth chakras, and are helping to create a matrix for the creation of the New Earth. This pulsating Gold light can be clearly seen in their auras by those with clairvoyance and the ability to perceive auric colours.

The Human Angel

One of the gifts of this transitional process, is that Humans are becoming aware of who they truly are: that they are Spirits in Human bodies, and that they are, in other words, Angels in human form.

We have been aware of our connections to the higher realms for many thousands of years, but have always felt that out "human" and material state somehow "shut" us off from our angelic inheritance. We would speak about our "Higher Self", knowing that we had access to this aspect of ourselves, but somehow it was not quite a part of who we were, and could only be accessed in meditation.

Part of the reason for this was that our physical forms were locked into the Third Dimension, but our Higher or Angelic self was of a much finer and higher vibration and was more at home in the Higher Dimensions. So there was always a "gap" between the material manifestation of the human body and consciousness and the spiritual reality.

Now, however, with the vibrational shift that the planet is experiencing, which is aptly called "Ascension", the Earth and her inhabitants have the opportunity to "ascend" from the Third Dimension of consciousness upwards into the Higher Dimensions. As the consciousness ascends higher, the spiritual world comes closer, until there is no longer a "gap" but a continuum that is termed "Multi-Dimensional Consciousness".

In this state, the human being is able to access both the material and spiritual realms with ease. There is no longer any need for intense meditation, since the access to the spirit realm is immediate and evident. People in the Multi-Dimensional state have accessed their Angelic presence or state, and recognise themselves as Spirit beings or Angels who also have a human body and are able to function in the material plane as material beings.

At this point, the Higher Self and the Lower self can be said to have blended, and the Human being is now a Human Angel.

The Human Angel is constantly aware of themselves as Angelic and as Powerful and Creative. They have no time or need for things such as fear and victim dramas. Their time is better spent in creating the kind of reality in which they would be happy and content.

Many Indigo and crystal children are already almost at this point of awareness, if not fully within it. As are many of the Indigo-Crystal adults who have made the transition to this state. It is these new beings, able to claim both their human and angelic inheritances, who will create the New Earth.

It is important to state, at this point, that it is imperative that those who make the transition into awareness of their angelic selves, be also aware of how important it is to be human and to be well grounded in the material dimensions or planes. The whole point of the Transition is to bring "Heaven" to "Earth", and not to drift away into some ungrounded paradise state.

For Human Angels there is work to do. Creating a New Earth that will bring Heaven to Earth. And since "heaven" is not so much a place as a state of consciousness, these Human Angels must work to bring the higher dimensional states of consciousness to the Earth plane. Once this is achieved, then a planetary culture will be birthed that will respect all beings as manifestations of the Divine Essence. And this culture will reflect that respect in its peace, harmony and creativity.

The Nature of Multi-Dimensionality

Until fairly recently, all humans born on Earth were born as Third Dimensional beings. This means that they were fully in the material plane or realm, and their consciousness was "locked" into the Third Dimension. They functioned on the first three chakras, the material, the emotional and the mental. Where there was spirituality, it was usually seen as something outside or other than normal every day functioning.

The Third Dimensional being is aware of him or herself as a separate and unique individual. There is no real sense of the unity or oneness of consciousness that is a factor of higher dimensional consciousness. Because of this sense of separation, humans have built a society that has very little awareness of the interconnectedness of beings and actions. And because of this lack of awareness, humans have created a planet of sorrow and suffering, where individuals see no need to be responsible for their thoughts, feelings and actions. Fear of not surviving on the individual level, because of lack of resources, has led to greed and imbalances that need to be addressed in order to create a stable planetary home for all humans.

The Indigo children arrived with the key to multi-dimensionality. They were born into Third Dimensional bodies, but their consciousness was effectively in the Fourth Dimension and capable of moving into the Fifth. When this "wave" of Indigo consciousness arrived on the planet in the early 1970s, the way was opened for all humans and the planet itself to shift into the Fourth Dimension.

At the Fourth Dimensional level of Consciousness, humans become aware of the Universal Law of One, otherwise known as "Unity Consciousness". This Law states that we are all One, we are all connected and that whatever affects one of us affects all of us. Indigo children carry this awareness in their consciousness, and it leads them to be warriors for many causes that will heal the Earth and stop humans from destroying and polluting their environment and harming other humans.

The Law of One also fosters the understanding in Indigo beings that we are all equal, and that no one is greater than any other. This group consciousness and group awareness is the path to the future for humans. We will learn to function co-operatively and for the good of all if we are to create the New Earth that we desire.

Indigos respect the talents and abilities of each individual, but these talents do not make any one greater than anyone else. The play of ego and self-importance has no real place in the life of an Indigo.

When an Indigo awareness opens into the Fifth Dimension, it becomes aware of itself as a Creator. Fifth Dimensional awareness loves to create. All the religious belief systems and the economic systems on Earth today are Fifth Dimensional Though Form creations that we hold in place by our continued support of these thought forms. They form a Fifth Dimensional grid around the Earth. Most lower- dimensional beings are completely unaware that their thoughts and behaviour patterns are being controlled from this level.

When the Indigo awareness opens to this level, there is often a rejection of all belief systems and a consciousness of the freedom to create new and alternative ways of thinking and being. The Indigo person takes on the planetary mission of creating and bringing in new ways of thinking and being for Planet Earth. But, at this level the consciousness is still concerned with dualities of "good" and "bad", that determine what kind of system is best for Earth. The next step in consciousness is to move beyond duality and into a realm where all is seen as part of the greater good and for the good of the greater whole.

This advanced state is known as Sixth Dimensional Consciousness, and is the realm of the Christed Child or Magical Child. All Crystal children are born into this level of awareness. They have immediate access to the magical and spiritual aspects of who they are, and are able to blend imagination and creation in fantastic and joyous ways. If they were left to their own devices, they would immediately create a magical planet. But, they still have to deal with a largely Third Dimensional consciousness, and they struggle with the patterns and behaviours that they find here.

When an adult Indigo consciousness makes the shift into the Crystal state or awareness, they enter into Sixth Dimensional awareness and the Christ Consciousness seed. They are rebirthed, in consciousness, as a Christed or Magical child. With this comes an awareness of the playfulness of life, and the play of Spirit through human beings on this planet. Then all life is seen as magical and blessed, and all life is directed and advanced through the work of spirit. At this point, the being understands the principle of surrender to the flow of the greater evolutionary wave, while still exercising the right to be a creator on the individual level.

The Crystal consciousness, when it has matured enough at this level, can then move into the Seventh Dimensional level, where awareness opens onto the nature of the spiritual mission of the being. A Crystal or Christed adult at this level is ready to take on a planetary mission as a carrier of higher dimensional consciousness to others. The work may involve teaching and healing on a grand scale, or it may simply be to carry the energy in the auric field so that others may access the higher vibrations in their own upwards ascension path.

The Crystal child and adult now carry the potential to open fully to the Ninth level or Full Christ Consciousness. This incorporates the Eighth level, or Archetypal level, where the being has full control over the "story" of their life on earth, and the Ninth level, where the being assumes full responsibility for stewardship of the Planet.

The potential then exists for the being to continue on the journey to the Tenth level, where the being accesses his or her Solar System responsibilities; the Eleventh level, where the Galactic level of consciousness is accessed and finally the Twelfth level, where the Gold Ray of Universal Consciousness inaugurates the being as a Full Universal Being. The Thirteenth level represents the Master, who enters into the Divine Mystery as a fully conscious spark of the Divine Creative Essence.

An Evolutionary Leap

As can be seen from the above discussion, the Indigo-Crystal adventure represents a huge evolutionary leap for the human species. This is initially a huge leap in consciousness, reflected in the auric colours and the access to multi-dimensional layers of awareness in an individual.

But, what is manifest in the subtle or spiritual bodies must eventually make itself manifest in the physical or Earth plane body of each individual. And eventually, in the physical body of the Planet itself. Indigo and Crystal children and adults are an integral and dynamic part of the evolutionary leap into a new and Golden future.

Higher levels of consciousness, awareness of the interconnectedness of all things and a desire for an empowered and creative life will soon become the characteristics of all humans on Planet Earth.

Great question. When I first read about Indigo Children, I thought that perhaps I fit the bill.

Indigo Children are more warrior-like to make way for the Crystal Children, who will bring peace and harmony to the world.

It makes sense to me. I have spent all year battling baby boomers in my occupation. Some have done inappropriate things towards staff and students. So, muggins me, stands up to their bullying ways. I've had NO support from 'superiors' who are incidentally baby boomers themselves.

In fact, the bullying started to come from officials - how dare I advocate the rights of staff and students to work in a safe environment...!!!!

I'm not saying I am an Indigo Child, but it wouldn't surprise me if I am. They have a tough journey to break down rigid barriers.

ps - blue is my favourite colour. I feel extremely comfortable when wearing blue.

I don't know about the "Indigo" or "crystal" labeling. I think it simply means that these children, just like many others are spiritual. I don't really agree with the Indigo and Crystal concept. It simply goes along the lines of past lives. If these children are extremly psycic is because they brought a lot of their past lives with them to this current existence.

I'm with you on this SS. I'm not sure Indigo/Crystals really exist. There have always been children who are special and unique since the beginning of humanity. I think the only thing new is the adult awareness that special children exist. Children are essentially the same. Personally I find that many mix up "special" children with ADD. They are not the same. Unskilled behavior is just that--- unskilled behavior. Children with attention issues are just that- children with attention issues. There is a big (absolutely huge) difference between the Dahli Lama telling his teacher to stop treating him like a child - he now knows what is to be done and will now decide the fate of Tibetan Buddhism and how to deal with the Chinese government and some whiny 20 year old wanting special treatment for themselves that they haven't worked for. And I do mean whiny and entitled because I guarantee you in 20 or 30 years these same "Indigos" will realize how they did not have the proper social skills to deal with people because of their youth and inexperience. When some so called "Indigo" decides the fate and well-being of an entire group of people, then I will listen to what they have to say. When some so called "Indigo" has a cause that is not adopted from the list of popular causes to be concerned about, then I will listen. We've all been there, 20s self assertion, breaking out onto your own, the "me" decade. 30's becoming more concerned about contributing to your community, humanity, etc. - nothing special about this- It is a natural phase. Recognize that people over forty, fifty, ninety, dead have either decided to step up and be big in this life or not. Recognize that someone said "No I'm not giving up my bus seat, I'm tired." and started a whole movement. Recognize that someone withheld for decades and finally released research on our human origins because of the unpopularity of his views. Recognize that a president transformed his life and beliefs from being prejudice and biased to setting an entire group of people free knowing it could potentially get himself killed (and it did.) Recognize that that someone finally stood up and said "I'm gay." Recognize that there are women who were tortured for your right to vote. Recognize that right now someone is fighting for something or someone at their own expense, stepping up to be the "sacrificial lamb" so that one wrong will be righted. They shed unpopular light on a popular wrong. No I don't think Indigos and Crystals exist, I think a few brave people have always been around. They are few and far between, but they teach us much and pave the way for a better tomorrow.

As for ADD, I also do not agree with it... I think these are kids with a lot of energy... and it's indirected energy.
They need to exercise, work out, play sports, meditate to release their energy effectively.

I think it is important to know what a is particular child's cause of ADD. I used to teach many years ago and the top reasons --- the mother used drugs while pregnant (especially heroin), chaos at home, biologically predisposed (father also has ADD, poverty (usually accompanied by chaos at home.) male (boys just can't sit still.)abuse, a creative temperment.

The problem is that we seem to think that an entire generation is Indigo. A lot of energy is one thing, but ADD is usually accompanied by some sort of unskilled behavior at home. Sorting out positive energy from the other more destructive forms should be done case-by-case. Yes kids are overmedicated especially in the suburbs. This has more to do with the level of tolerance towards this type of behavior more than anything. Act out in the inner city - no meds, Act out in the suburbs - a quick trip to the school psychologist and lots of pressure on the parent to get the kid medicated. I've seen it. I agree that kids need a different outlet. Forcing them to sit still for so long is unnatural. But the inability to sit still is not a sign of being an Indigo.

Regarding psychic - I'm not sure. I haven't seen any fool proof evidence.

Stewart's Reply I have written about this countless times. Indigo children are part of a mind-control project. it is an Illuminati play on the word, "indicate" which exposes people with mental talents who can be programmed.

I believe there is an awakening going on, a sort of frequency being broadcasted to any who may be sensitive to it......this might explain the Indigo Children phemomenon?

Just sharing some thoughts that just came to me.

I do think that the labeling of Indigo and Crystal simply means psychic individuals...
I think the New Age is simply wanting a name for everything, and in this case, it doesn't fit with me.

As a person who has ADHD along with Dyslexia,Dyspraxia, I felt the need as a neuro-diversity advocate to point out a few things about ADHD.

Not everybody with ADHD is the same. It is not necessarily about unskillful people nor is it necessarily a disorder. It can be a different way of being,thinking,and learning that doesn't fit with mainstream.

There have been studies that show that novely seeking trait, DRD4 7R gene is connected to half of cases of ADHD. This gene has been recognized as an advantageous gene that helped humans thrive and survive as well as figured into migration (they really were restless and liked to move around).

Many people with ADHD also have other neurodivergent conditions like Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. ADHD is one of the conditions that neuropsychologists tend to screen for in people with learning disabilities. People like Dr. Harold N. Levinson and Ronald D. Davis understand the overlapping symptoms/traits and co-morbidity of neurodivergent conditions. Levinson connects neurodivergent conditions to cerebellar vestibular dysfunction (inner ear problems). Ronald D. Davis connects neurodivergent conditions to being mainly a picture thinker that tends to have problems with disorientation/confusion.
Omega 3 fatty acid deficiences have been found to be connected to neurodivergent conditions.


another thing is that there are over 50 causes for ADHD symptoms.

Conditions that mimic ADD or ADHD
See many of the real physical Conditions that mimic behaviors often called ADD or ADHD

Hypoglycemia (Low Blood sugar) Low blood sugar can stem from thyroid disorders, liver or pancreatic problems, or adrenal gland abnormalities, or even an insufficient diet. Hypoglycemia can display the same ADHD like symptoms.

Allergies: 15 to 20 percent of the world has some type of allergy. A person can be allergic to nearly anything so check for all forms. Food is one of the primary causes of allergic reactions. Just like the Car and human analogy stated above. If a child eats food they are allergic to, the body will not run properly and that may affect behavior. Everyone has different sensitivities to allergens so just because you aren't affected does not mean your child won't be also. (Some examples, Allergic reactions to food dye, milk, chocolate, and grains, ect)

Learning disabilities: If the primary place of behavior problems is at school, learning disabilities may be the cause of ill behavior. One of the main things that affect a child's self-esteem is how well they do in school. If a child has an undiagnosed learning disorder that makes school much harder and sometimes impossible. Children with undiagnosed learning disabilities are labeled as lazy, stupid, and many other downgrading opinions that affect self-esteem. And many times when a child's self-esteem is at jeopardy they try to make up for it in other sometimes-nonproductive ways such as acting out, bullying, or becoming the class clown.

Hyper or hypothyroidism: An imbalance in metabolism that occurs from an overproduction or underproduction of thyroid hormones. This imbalance may cause a variety of behaviors and may affect all body functions.

Hearing and vision problems: If a child can't see or hear properly, school and daily things in life are nearly impossible and it may cause ADHD like symptoms especially in educational settings.

Mild to high lead levels, even in the absence of clinical lead poisoning: research shows that children with even mildly elevated lead levels suffer from reduced IQs, attention deficits, and poor school performance. Lead is the leading culprit in toxin-caused hyperactivity..

Spinal Problems: Some spinal problems can cause ADHD like symptoms because if the spine is not connected to the brain properly nerves from the spinal cord can give the brain all of signals at once making a child rambunctious and always on the go.

Toxin exposures: Children are more vulnerable to toxins than adults. Such as pesticide-poisoning (Eating vegetables and fruit not washed thoroughly, they can be exposed to them by playing outside on the ground), also by gasoline fumes, and herbicides. Inside there are also many toxins. Disinfectants, furniture polishes and air fresheners are toxins that can affect some children's behaviors. Beds and carpets are one of the most dangerous places in the house because they are full of different types of dust, and other toxins. Toxins can cause hyperactivity, attention deficits, irritability, and learning problems.

Carbon Monoxide poisoning: Thousands of children each year are exposed to toxic levels of this gas each year. Sources include gas heaters, and other gas appliances such as fireplaces, dryers, and water heaters.

Seizure disorders: The most overlooked is the absence Seizures. During an absence seizure, the brain's normal activity shuts down. The child stares blankly, sometimes rotates his eyes upward, and occasionally blinks or jerks repetitively, he drops objects from his hand, and there may be some mild involuntary movements known as automatisms. The attack lasts for a few seconds and then it is over as rapidly as it begins. If these attacks occur dozens of times each day, they can interfere with a child's school performance and be confused by parents and teachers with daydreaming.

Metabolic disorders: They reduce the brain's supply of glucose, the bodies fuel and can cause ADHD like symptoms.

Genetic defects: Some mild forms of genetic disorders can go unnoticed in children and display some of the same symptoms of ADHD. Mild forms of Turner's syndrome, sickle-cell anemia, and Fragile X syndrome are some examples. Almost any genetic disorder can cause hyperactivity or other behavior problems, even if the disorder isn't normally linked to such problems. Many genetic diseases disrupt brain functions directly, through a variety of paths. A simple blood test can rule out genetic disorders.

Sleeping disorders: or other problems causing fatigue and crankiness during the day.

Post-traumatic subclinical seizure disorder: It causes episodic temper explosions. These fits of temper come out of the blue for no reason. Some of these seizures can be too subtle to detect without a twenty-four-hour electroencephalogram (EEG).

High mercury levels: One of the most interesting things regarding high mercury levels is that it can relate to dental fillings. Children who have mercury amalgam fillings in their mouth and grind their teeth are at risk of high mercury levels. American dental associations are defensive on the subject of mercury fillings but many European countries have discontinued the use of them because of side effects. There are also other causes of high mercury levels.

High manganese levels

Iron deficiency: Iron is an essential component of hemoglobin, the oxygen carrying pigment in the blood. Iron is normally obtained through the food in the diet and by the recycling of iron from old red blood cells. The causes of iron deficiency are too little iron in the diet, poor absorption of iron by the body, and loss of blood. It is also caused by lead poisoning in children.

B vitamin deficiencies: Many experts believe that one of the main causes for inattention, hyperactivity, impulsivity, temper tantrums, sleep disorders, forgetfulness, and aggression are caused by faulty neurotransmissions a problem with the neurotransmitters in the brain. Vitamin B-6 is a necessary vitamin used in the making of neurotransmitters that affect behavior. A lack of this vitamin or really any other vitamin can cause a child to act inappropriately.

Excessive amounts of Vitamins: Excessive amounts of vitamins can be toxic to the body and may cause the same ADHD like symptoms. It is possible to overdose when taking vitamins so make sure you contact a physician and check for vitamin deficiencies before taking extra vitamins.

Tourette's syndrome: Tourette's syndrome is a rare but disruptive condition. It involves multiple tics (small, repetitive muscle movements), usually facial tics with grimacing and blinking. Tics may also occur in the shoulders and arms. This is usually accompanied by loud vocalizations, which may include grunts or noises, or uncontrollable (compulsive) use of obscenities or short phrases. The tics are worse during emotional stress and are absent during sleep. The cause is unknown. It occurs most often in boys, and may begin around age 7 or 8 or not until the child is in his or her late teens or early twenties. It may, at times, run in families. This disorder can be mistaken for not being able to sit still or impulsive behavior.

Sensory Integration Dysfunction: Sensory Integration Dysfunction is the inefficient neurological processing of information received through the senses, causing problems with learning, development, and behavior. These children are over-sensitive or under-sensitive dealing in touch, taste, smell, sound, or sight. For example, some of these children crave fast and spinning movement, such as swinging, rocking, twirling, and riding the merry-go-round- without getting dizzy. These children may move constantly, fidget, enjoy getting into upside down positions and be a daredevil. These children may become overexcited when there is too much to look at words, toys, or other children. They may cover their eyes, have poor eye contact, be inattentive when drawing or doing desk work, or overreact to bright light. These children often act out in an attempt to cope with their inability to process sensory information such as acting out in crowded or loud places.

Early-onset diabetes: Symptoms include aggression, depression, and anxiety. If you have a family history of diabetes checking for this is a must.

Heart disease: It affects blood and oxygen flow to the brain affecting brain function that in-turn affects behavior.

Cardiac conditions: It can reduce the supply of blood, oxygen and nutrients to the brain. Defective blood vessels between organs to the brain.

Early-Onset Bi-Polar disorder: Also know as child-like Bi-polar. The experts state that 85% of children with child-like Bi-polar also meet the criteria for ADHD. The symptoms are extremely close. Most people when they think of Bi-polar disorder, think of Adult like Bipolar which mood swings happen over a somewhat long period of time. In child-like Bipolar, the mood swings can happen many times within a twenty-four hour day, known as rapid cycling. At one moment they're calm and the next minute they could be in a full fledge temper tantrum. Some of the symptoms are Distractibility, Hyperactivity, impulsivity, separation anxiety, restlessness, depressed mood, low self-esteem, and many more. Early-Onset Bi-polar should be ruled out before ADHD is considered mainly because they are treated with different medications if you choose medications that is. ADHD is treated with stimulant medications which will make a Bipolar child worse possibly psychotic.

CAPD (Central Auditory processing Disorder) will sometimes occur in children who have had a history of ear infections and/or PE tubes. Symptoms include distractibility, inability to follow a set of verbal instructions, "space out", etc.

Worms: Such as Pinworms lay their eggs in the anal area, causing tickling and itching, which are most bothersome at night. The lack of sleep from this type of infestation can cause crankiness or bad behavior during the day. When asleep, nightmares may be present. This problem is mostly found in very young children preschool to kindergarten because of primitive toileting skills, they tend to put their fingers in their mouths, and they participate in a lot of hands-on activities with other kids and with pets. Roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms are other examples that can make a child display ADHD like symptoms. Worms cause hyperactive behavior, learning problems, depression, or attention deficits by making children miserable on the inside.

Viral or bacterial infections: When a child is affected by an infection that might cause problem behavior.

Malnutrition or improper diet: Many children in the United States do not eat a well balanced diet. A proper diet is necessary to growing children. An improper diet can affect a child's behavior in an ill way.

Head injuries: Such as the postconcussion syndrome. Some of the symptoms include Irritability, emotionality, memory problems, depression, and sleep disturbances. A concussion can disrupt brain functioning causing ADHD like symptoms.

Dietary Factors: (For example to much caffeine and sugar) At doses as low as 250 milligrams a day, a level many American children exceed- caffeine can cause rambling speech, attention and concentration problems, agitation, heart palpitations, insomnia, and hyperactive behavior. In a way, it is true we are what we eat.

Some disorders such as anemias reduce oxygen to the brain causing disturbance in the brains chemistry causing ADHD like symptoms.

Fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS) or Fetal alcohol effects (FAE): FAS is a name that doctors use to describe the damage done to children's brains and bodies when their mother drink heavily during pregnancy. It is the leading form of mental retardation today. Prenatal alcohol impairment, however, also comes in a milder form called fetal alcohol effects (FAE). Children with FAE often don't look disabled, and they tend to score in the low-normal or even normal range of intelligence. But these kids aren't normal. Their mal-developed brains cause them to exhibit a wide range of behavior problems, including hyperactivity, attention problems, learning disorders, and ethical problems such as stealing, lying, and cheating.

Intentionally or unintentionally sniffing materials: such as modeling glue or other house hold products.

Some drugs:, (both prescription and illegal) can cause the brain to atrophy, leading to disturbed cognition and behavior. If your child routinely takes prescription or over-the-counter medications for asthma, hay fever, allergies, headaches, or any other condition, consider the possibility that the drugs are causing or contributing to behavior problems.

A beta-hemolytic streptococcus: better known as "strep.") Although these bacteria are most commonly thought of as the cause of strep throat. Left untreated, strep can cause rheumatic fever and a movement disorder called Sydenham's chorea. Moreover, recurrent infections can lead, in susceptible children, to a group of symptoms collectively known as PANDAS (Pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders) Some symptoms of PANDAS include obsessive-compulsive behavior, Tourette's syndrome, hyperactivity, cognitive problems, and fidgeting.

Lack of exercise: "Hyper Couch Potatoes" are children who aren't moving enough. Some children because of lack of exercise may seem as though they are always in motion, but often that motion is in fits and spurts: leaping up from a chair, spinning around in the lunch line, bouncing in a chair while watching TV. Quite a few hyperactive children actually do not get enough sustained, strenuous exercise to stay healthy mentally and physically. Exercise can make people happier, less anxious, less hyperactive, and less depressed. One reason is that exercise increases serotonin levels in the brain exactly what Prozac, Elavil, and similar drugs do.

Gifted Children: Gifted children often display ADHD like symptoms because most of the time they are bored with what other kids their age are doing. Behaviors associated with Giftedness are poor attention, boredom, daydreaming, low tolerance for persistence on tasks that seem irrelevant, their judgment often lags behind their development of intellect, their intensity may lead to power struggles with authorities, and they may have a high activity level. They may need less sleep compared to other children, and they may question rules, customs, and traditions. If your child scores above average on IQ tests, aces exams, has no trouble with homework, has no apparent learning disabilities, and primarily exhibits his or her problems mostly at school, maybe seeking a more challenging class or school would help.

Emotional problems: Kids who are experiencing emotional problems most often display ADHD like symptoms. For example, kids who are constantly subjected to bullying at school can display ADHD like symptoms. These are normal kids that act out because they are scared. They experience sleeping problems, sadness, and they develop physical symptoms, especially if they think those symptoms will keep them home from school. Often they can't concentrate in class, partly because they are worried and partly because they are suffering from sleep deprivation. Really any emotional problem at school or home in which a child is having trouble coping with can result in ADHD like symptoms.

Some kids are spoiled and undisciplined: A number of children labeled hyperactive are merely under-disciplined children. They tend to run their household and get away with anything. Dr Syndey Walker stated this problem best of why parents under-discipline their children. He stated that he blamed not the parents but on the psychological experts who have counseled parents for several decades that children are fragile, easily traumatized little flowers who could be ruined for life by a cross look or a scolding which is very untrue. Children need firm discipline and strict rules not abuse but setting rules and standards and demanding those standards be met, and giving consequences when your rules are broken. Labeling undisciplined kids as ADHD who are not gives them an excuse for their misbehavior, which will often make it worse.

Spirited children: When dealing with spirited children the problem usually does not lie with the child but with society's perception of what normal childhood behavior is. Many normal children, according to some people, display ADHD like symptoms not because they are hyperactive or lack sufficient attention spans but because the person forming the opinion has unrealistic standards of how a child should behave.

Lack of understanding and communication skills: One of the main reasons why a child acts out and throws temper tantrums when they have a problem is because of their lack of understanding of a problem and lack of expressing how they feel. Children do not have the vocabulary or know how to express their emotions like adults do, that's why many act out when they are in a difficult situation. They are not able tell you something is wrong so they show you instead. This is one reason why any emotional or medical problem can cause acting out behavior in children.

Early stage brain tumors: Found rarely in children but should still be considered. Statistically, this diagnosis may not be important but to individual families, they assuredly are.

Brain cysts: Another rare cause of hyperactivity but should still be considered when searching for the reasons behind displayed ADHD like behavior.

Temporal lobe seizures: The Temporal lobe is a part of the brain. Any brain malfunction can cause inappropriate behavior. That's why conducting brain scans is a must when trying to figure out behavior problems.

Klinefelter syndrom: A Genetic disorder in which a male has an extra X chromosome (XXY)Many individuals experience learning, behavior, and social problems. A degree of subnormal intelligence appears in some affected individuals. Many affected individuals are skinny and taller than most of their peers. A simple blood test can rule this disorder out.

Genetic Disorder XYY: The extra Y chromosome has been associated with antisocial behavior.

Porphyria: A hereditary enzyme-deficiency disease. Enzymes are very important to our body's chemical reactions. Really nothing occurs in our body without enzymes. A lack of enzymes causes body malfunctioning which can cause ill behavior.

Candida Albicans infestation (Yeast Infection) : Candida infestations cause hyperactivity in children. Most children who do suffer from Candida infestations have some underlying problem frequently an immune disorder, or a disorder affecting carbohydrate metabolism and thus altering blood sugar levels. So immune disorders can cause other problems that also have the same symptoms of ADHD.

Intestinal parasites: Parasites rob the body of needed nutrients which in-turn affects behavior.

Great read!
I have to agree with you guys it is a way to single out these people for there energy and talents.
I have always thought something resonated about there discription of consciousness levels and the experiences there in, though.
Regardless there must be some truth to some part of it for it to have become such a phenomena.

What I find interesting though is what would be the motive of an Illuminati ploy such as the labeling of these special individuals?

I believe Indigo,Crystal is a label.

I don't believe that it applies to only the recent generations. It just seems like a certain personality type just like the Myers Briggs stuff like INFP,ESTJ.

I agree with the concept of Indigo,Crystal in regards to highly sensitive people with neurological,learning differences. I think that it's possible that people with neurological,learning differences do tend to be highly metaphysically oriented. It's just that some keep it to themselves. I have talked to quite a few people with neurodivergence that are highly metaphysically oriented.


A lot of schizophrenics actually have a history of problems with learning,speech,and/or motor skills. In the book, THE BIPOLAR CHILD, one of the common symptoms,traits listed was learning disabilities. One of the very common,symptoms traits was oversensitivity to environmental influences. Those are definitely traits of neurodivergence. The symptoms/traits of schizophrenia,bipolar overlap with symptoms/traits of neurodivergence.


That's why I suspect that the most outer objects in our solar system, the transneptunians figure prominently in people with neurodivergence but also psychiatric disorders.

I believe that the transneptunians figure prominently in the Indigo,Crystal personality types.


I have been told by two separate people in intuitive consultations that my main life purpose is to help the Indigo,Crystal children. The angel reader that I saw showed me the Metatron: Indigo Crystal children card, telling me that it was my life purpose. That same card ended up being the middle of 3 cards that she drew out of the shuffled Archangel deck.

I got my own Archangel deck, and the very first card that I picked out of the deck was the same card. It was the same card that I picked out of the deck when I drew a card, asking what my main theme is for this year.


I do believe that my main life purpose is to help the Indigo,Crystal people. However, I don't like to use those terms. I do recognize their traits,and I don't see them as symptoms.

I am starting to believe that schizophrenia could even be about psychic sensitivity that involves serious boundary issues which can lead to distortion,confusion,disorientation. Those traits are actually common in people with neurological,learning differences. If you read the concepts in Ronald D. Davis' behind his theory of neurodivergence, it seems like things about both Indigos,Crystals and schizophrenia.


Ronald D. Davis talks about how disorientation/confusion can lead to distorted perceptual experiences that neurodivergents have. He believes that the highly visual,picture thinking of neurodivergents makes them use their disorientation to automatically distort their peceptions but also can be used to see things from other perspectives. He believes those things are strongly connected to each other. They are highly imaginative. They could actually have an overactive imagination that leads to the perceptual distortions.

This could even apply to people with schizophrenia. Disorientation/confusion is commonly viewed as a symptom of schizophrenia. Schizophrenics have distorted perceptions. Schizophrenics are highly imaginative too. Their schizophrenia can be connected to having an overactive imagination leading to perceptual distortions.


Antipsychotics seemed to be used to harness the imagination of schizophrenics. Maybe the antipsychotics are actually be used to harness their visual thinking.

People that believe in the Indigo concept believe that psychiatric medications suppresses the psychic,mystical gifts of Indigos. Maybe the psychiatric medications are harnessing their right hemisphere strengths that include being highly imaginative,visual,nonlinear thought processes.

Maybe psychiatric medications..especially antipsychotics can make rightbrained types of people be more leftbrained. The psychiatric medications lead to schizophrenics to be more organized and linear in their thinking.

This can be an ethical problem.....especially if many children are having problems in school because they have strong right hemisphere processes that make it hard for them to learn left hemisphere type ways of teachings as in auditory sequential teaching methods including lecturing. If they are daydreaming a lot in school,and that inteferes with their school work, that could be a problem too. What if they are actually doing a lot creativity,art,and other things associated with strong right hemisphere activity? How would the medication impact those activities? That is something to consider. Not everybody is cut out for academics. We could forcing naturally rightbrained children to be leftbrained. Why not incorporate Montessori,Waldorf teaching methods in education institutions including preschool,elementary,jr high,high school,and college? Teaching should reach all learning styles.

Ronald D. Davis, talks about focusing mind's eye....He talks about it from his experience as a neurodivergent...He talks about the shifting of the mind's eye and move it to optimum viewpoint for real-world perception can help with disorientation of neurodivergents.......who knows....maybe that could help with schizophrenic's symptoms too.

If neuro-divergents talked about psychic,mystical,shamanic experiences to psychiatrists, they get diagnosed as having psychosis,schizophrenia. It's a good thing for people to keep those things to themselves. This what tends to make a difference between diagnosing somebody as a schizophrenic,psychotic,bipolar or a neuro-divergent. Unfortunately, disorganized schizophrenia doesn't have anything to do with hallucinations. Therefore,neuro-divergents can easily get misdiagnosed as having disorganized type of schizophrenia. It was my symptoms/traits that share qualities with disorganized type of schizophrenics that got me misdiagnosed in the first place. It was my speech irregularities. Loose,tangential,disorganized type speech is not just symptoms/traits of schizophrenia,psychosis but also neuro-divergence. My rapid speech got me mistakened for being manic, but that is also neuro-divergence. Both speech irregularities are also cluttering which many neuro-divergents tend to have. Those are things to be aware of. I talked to my mom about it,and she told me that
my father had similar speech irregularities too.


Both parents of mine are neurodivergents. Neurodivergence runs strong in my family. My late father was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic by prison psychiatrists. My mother was once on antipsychotic medication as a teenager because she had emotional meltdown like many neurodivergents have because she wanted go home. She was in a mental hospital because she was unhappy in foster home. I have a long history of emotional meltdowns from childhood to adulthood myself. Of course, omega 3 fatty acids DHA/EPA in fish/cod liver oil has helped decreased my unusual hypersensitivity. That's one of the reasons, it's useful for people with neurodivergent conditions. Mom told me that she has a lot of the neurodivergent symptoms that I showed her from Dr. Levinson's list. She even have history of poor eye
contact like both my father and me. Those are symptoms/traits of neuro-divergence and schizophrenia.

Those are things that I want to raise awareness as a neuro-diversity advocate.

Childhood Schizophrenia

When childhood schizophrenia begins very early, the disorder often becomes apparent gradually and builds up to the first psychotic episode. Early signs of the disorder may include social withdrawal, disruptive behaviors, learning difficulties, speech or language impairments, or other developmental delays. As you see, the symptoms/traits of Schizophrenia and Dyspraxia overlap. There is strong possibility that many Dyspraxics are being misdiagnosed as being schizophrenic. Mary Colley,a dyspraxic in UK and a co-founder of Developmental Adult Neuro-Diversity Assocation (DANDA) told me that a lot of neurodivergents are misdiagnosed as schizophrenic,bipolar in the UK.

There is a label called anomalously sensitive.

From all that I read, it seems like Indigo,Crystal stuff. It seems like the same concept.

I think that you can really help them, by helping yourself Raymond.
Your energy when it is all it should be and your life has manifest it, will begin prepare a world around you that can accept these individuals and embrace them, as we all move to the level conscious they emanated from.

I do not believe in labels, Crystal, Indigo, Schizophrenic, ADHD, ADD, Neuro divergent.

Its all labels that we give people because there different. Its the way our world works, instead of just accepting them for what they are. Humans...different albeit, but still human.

It is good that you have a found one of your purposes in the life Raymond.....certainly puts a twist on things.

Neurodivergence Is Not Really Another Label like Indigo and ADHD


Neurodivergence is not really another label like Indigo and ADHD.Neurodivergence is not a diagnosis nor any other type of medical term. It's not some new age label either. It's not some label that means deficient nor is it a label that means something great. It's not some label that puts people down nor makes people feel good. It's not a label that's positive nor negative. It's just neutral like the word human, or homo sapiens which is technically the name of our species.


label is a short word or phrase descriptive of a person, group, intellectual movement, etc.

name is a word or a combination of words by which a person, place, or thing, a body or class, or any object of thought is designated, called, or known.

The actual concept of name and label are pretty much the same.....just semantics. Our own names(first,middle,last name, nicknames,user names) are labels which identify who we are.

the term,label can be used for any noun which is a word in regards to a person,place,or thing. words themselves can be labels. even the word itself is an actual label for the thing itself. All words were made up,and they were created to describe certain things whether a noun,verb,adjective,adverb. It's better than using unintelligible noises like grunts to describe something. That's why we humans created words which we use in speech,writing,and typing. It was developing verbal communication. Of course there is also nonverbal communication in the form of facial expressions,gestures,body language,and even tone of voice.

the term, "neurodivergent" is a liberal and practical word to use. Some would say that it's a politically correct word to use. It's better than using words like "stupid","idiot","crazy","retarded",and other negative labels that we're usually given by people that aren't like us. I know from personal experience since my special education years. It's not a word that means defective. It's not a word that has any metaphysical connotations either. There is no need for it. Many people that don't fit the relative neurological norms are metaphysically oriented,and some aren't. There have been people like us existing in ancient times. We're not something recent. I am 38 yrs old(born October 29, 1971) and come from a family of neurodivergents on both my mother and father sides of my family. I think that there is some misunderstanding about the use of the word. When we neurodivergents use the word,"neurodivergent", we use that as word to say "hey..there is nothing wrong with us...we're not some mental defects...different doesn't mean deficient" However,both conventional and alternative health practitioners tend to have that view.

neurodivergent just means different way of thinking,thinking outside the box, a different frame of mind. atypical neurological processing.
It's a term that was first used by Autistic,Aspergers people to describe themselves as people that are just different type of thinkers,and so they don't see themselves a deficient that they they need to be fixed in some way. Then it later on got extended to Dyslexics,Dyspraxics,ADHD,Tourette Syndrome.

It has to do with the neurodiversity movement which I strongly support. It has to do with the belief of civil/equal rights for people who don't fit inside the box that include things like equal treatment and protesting against things that try to put us in a mental straightjacket like medications. We don't believe that we are types that should be medicated because we don't fit inside a box. I don't agree with the psychiatric medicating of Autistic Spectrum people nor ADHD people. Antipsychotics like Risperdal are used on these people now,and I am strongly against that. If I was a child in the 1990's or 2000's and had parents and/or teachers that wanted me medicated instead of a child in 1970's/1980's, I'd be on Ritalin or some other psychiatric meds too. I was lucky to have special education with great special education teachers instead as well as a 4th grade regular school teacher who straightened me up and helped me realize my potential as a regular student that I finished the year with award for most improved student with a B plus average report card. I started off with typical ADHD behaviors in 4th grade. In October 1999, I was misdiagnosed as having schizoaffective bipolar disorder because my speech was abnormal,and they wanted me to take an antipsychotic. My thought processes weren't psychotic. These people were clueless. They didn't know about my history of special education,speech therapy. Later on the neurologists including the world renowned neurologist/psychiatrist, Dr. Harold N. Levinson told me that I wasn't psychotic and confirmed my Dyslexia,Dyspraxia. Therefore, I felt vindicated. I became my own advocate and succeeded in getting my neurodivergence recognized,documented for the first time since my special education years. I fought against the psychiatric diagnoses. I wouldn't have done that if I hadn't learned about neurodivergent conditions in 2003 and realized that I wasn't stupid,crazy, and that my misdiagnosis of schizoaffective bipolar was a misdiagnosis.

I realized that I inherited my neurodivergence from both my parents who had their problems with psychiatry because of their neurodivergence. I realized that my father always had problems with his neurodivergence, especially as a black man born on Jan 2, 1941. He didn't get help for his,and he got diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic. My mom(born June 13, 1954) told me that he had the same speech,auditory processing,and coordination problems that I have. He was a highly emotional,ultrasensitive person like me too. After I showed stuff about Dyslexic Syndrome(which was a term that Dr. Levinson used for Neurodivergence because of Dyslexia and the other neurodivergent conditions have strong overlap in symptoms) to my mother, she even told me that she has a lot of the neurodivergent symptoms. She is also a highly emotional,ultrasensitive person like me too. One of the problems,she tends to overreact to things and lose her temper easily and that led to her verbally and physically abusing me. She got easily angry if she felt like she was being talked down to or "getting smart" with her which she perceived me to do when I was talking back like in a retort or rebuttal, especially if I am trying to make a valid point that might come off rather sharp. She confessed to me that she didn't feel like she was smart until her early 30's. I read the same list to my maternal aunt Dominga (born on Nov 9, 1961),and she told me that has a lot of the neurodivergent symptoms too. Her daughter,Shavon(born on Nov 30, 1980) was diagnosed ADHD at 7 years old. I even talked to her other daughter,Gina(born on August 14, 1982),and she told me can relate to ADHD. I talked about neurodivergent conditions to my maternal stepgrandmother(born on Sept 11, 1941). She told me that my uncle(her son) Eddie(born on Sept 3, 1961), who had speech problems, was recommended to be be put on medication for hyperactivity,but she refused. She told me that she's hyperactive,and so was my grandfather(born June 22, 1935) and they weren't on medication for their hyperactivity. Therefore,she thought it made no sense for my uncle to be medicated for his hyperactivity. She also told me that my maternal grandfather's half brother,Gino is Dyslexic. She,herself,told me that she has problems remembering things that she reads. My uncle Eddie's son,Joey(born Feb 18, 1994) is described as a hyperactive type. Most of my mom's family have significant neurodivergent traits(mainly ADHD). Therefore,it seems like I come from a neurodivergent family.

I realized that my life purpose was to help my fellow neurodivergents,and that includes raising the issue about the need to distinguish neurodivergence from psychiatric disorders to prevent the psychiatric misdiagnosing of neurodivergents. I don't want my fellow neurodivergents to go through what I and many other neurodivergents have gone through. I grew up believing that I was meant to do something special,but I didn't know what. I seriously believed that. That's the thing "special". I was referred to as being "special" in my early childhood years because of my having special education needs. If it wasn't for special education therapies(auditory therapy,speech therapy,phonics,motor skills therapy), I'd still be autistic-like. I did resemble somebody with autism,and that's why I misplaced with the mentally retarded in 1st grade. Therefore,I can relate to the new agers label of Crystal given by New Agers for autism. Now I am Aspergers-like. I never had the nonverbal communication issues though. I was always very good with nonverbal communications. Dyspraxia and Autistic Spectrum have a strong overlap in symptoms/traits. Therefore, as a Dyspraxic,I always resembled somebody as being on autistic spectrum. Any ways....As a person that had special education needs, I am meant to help others with special education needs...especially children. Therefore,I was meant to do something special literally.

DANDA was formed by neurodivergents for neurodivergents. I know some of these people from Dyspraxia Yahoo group.


The term Neuro-Diversity was first coined in the USA in the nineties on a computer list for people with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. Internet searches on the term tend to direct you to sites dealing with these conditions. It was also used by dyslexics on one of their lists in the USA. Unlike most names for ‘medical’ conditions, it was not chosen by the professionals.

However, many have now adopted it. Neuro-Diversity refers to the spectrum of neurological profiles describing how effective an individual is in processing information. This information comes in many forms, including written and spoken language, sounds, visual images, light, temperature, touch, texture and taste – as well as movement and co-ordination signals form the brain.

The processing of all these things includes not only receiving and interpreting, but also transmitting, concentrating and storing. For most people, i.e. the Neuro-Typical (NT), the cognitive profile is relatively smooth, with little variation in effectiveness of information processing.

This is in line with their general level of intellectual and reasoning ability. In contrast, a minority of people, i.e. the Neuro-Divergent (ND) have a cognitive profile which shows significant peaks and troughs, denoting significant disparity between the best and worst of their information processing.

The processing differences are present from birth, and are independent of any basic physical malfunctions, for example of eyes, ears or limbs. It is thought that 10% of the population is significantly ND, with many more having some degree of neuro-diversity. The norms of ‘easy’ and ‘difficult’ tend not to work for NDs, and in many cases are actually reversed.

For some, complex mathematical analysis is ‘a walk in the park’, where an actual walk in the park can be a nightmare.

What conditions does Neuro-Diversity include

• The conditions currently considered part of Neuro-Diversity are Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, AD (H)D, Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism and Tourette’s syndrome, as well as other conditions such as Semantic Pragmatic Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD). What problems can be caused by to lack of Awareness

• Over and above the difficulties that can be caused by Neuro-Diversity itself, there are a number of issues that arise as a result of a lack of awareness of Neuro-Diversity by NDs themselves, and by society at large. Many NDs, even as adults, are not aware of the condition, let alone that they have it.

There is a very low level of awareness among the medical profession in relation to adults. Many NDs have got themselves into a pattern (consciously or unconsciously) of masking or over-compensating for their difficulties from birth, and may find it hard to be assertive.

As a result of having to deal with their conditions in a world not willing to accommodate them, the ND can have mental health problems, including anxiety, depression and low self-esteem, and some can end up with drug/alcohol abuse which may also mask their condition. Many have problems realising their (often considerable) potential.

For example, the workplace is designed around the needs/features of the Neuro-Typical, e.g. open plan offices without screens to reduce distractions, and an expectation of organisational/administrative skills and an ability to multi-task.

The sooner the associated conditions are diagnosed and people given the necessary support and opportunities, the more likely it will be that they can lead fulfilled lives.

This consists of a series of standardized neurological tests commonly administered to assess the status of the integrated function of the cerebellar-vestibular (CV) system as well as other central nervous system (CNS) structures. Difficulties with any of these tests indicates a dysfunction within the CV or CNS systems.
The ENG is a standardized neurophysiological test in which eye movements are induced and measured under various testing conditions. Fine and reflexive eye movements are controlled by the cerebellum and the vestibular system. The same tests that are used for drunk driving are the same tests that are used to test for cerebellar vestibular dysfunction and neurological problems in general. Even the horizontal gaze nystgamus test is used to test for drunk driving,and that tests the eye coordination.

Neurodivergents in regards to problems with handshaking and eye contact


As neurodivergents, our behaviors can be misunderstood by neurotypicals and even by ourselves. Therefore, it's very important to understand the neurodivergent processing in social interactions. We can't be judged based on what people learn from psychology books and the common views based on neurotypical behavior.

One example is eye contact and handshaking.

Occasionally , dyslexics were considered to be negativistic on the basis of their hesitant, ambivalent, and anxiety-laden avoidance of handshaking and/or eye contact. Only in retrospect were these "anti-social" avoidance symptoms recognized to be due to primary somatic, rather than primary psychogenic, disturbances. Thus, upon neurodynamic exploration, hand contact was avoided because of right/left uncertaintly and the anticipated embarassment of using the wrong hand. In a similar fashion, upon analysis, eye contact was avoided in order to minimize (1) ocular perseveration, (2) directionally confused and dysmetric ocular scanning mechanisms, and (3) the catastrophic discomfort triggered when "forced" to fixate moving facial features during communication.

For some dyslexics, simultaneous listening and looking were more than they could "take" physiologically, and as a result they tended to sacrifice direction-dependent looking or eye contact in order to preserve the direction and sequence of auditory verbalizations and comprehension. In retrospect, it appeared as if dyslexics could not simulatenously coordinate and integrate directional and/or sequential visual,auditory,proprioceptive,and motor processing.

I can relate to all those things.

I use compensated coordination mechanisms. I always visualize myself doing things before I do it, and I always visualize things while I am doing it like I am seeing myself in the mirror. It works when I shake hands with people and eye contact. However, it actually takes a lot of energy when I do that because of the things that Dr. Levinson explained. I do tend to have problems looking at people while they are talking and when I am talking. My auditory processing problems also factor because I get auditory overload. My visual processing problems also factor because I get visual overload and poor eye tracking leading to visual disorientation. I also get left/right mixed up too, but it doesn't affect my handshaking as I automatically know which hand to use because i visualize it first and it becomes automatic after you keep doing it.

I think that I mistake my coordination difficulties with eye contact for shyness which is based on actual fear and anxiety. The sensory integration issues could be mistaken for shyness too. It's important to distinguish neurological issues from psychological issues.

I want to make a point that just because people have problems with handshaking and eye contact doesn't mean that they are rude,inconsiderate. If person has problems with eye contact when communicating, it doesn't mean that they are being dishonest. It might not even be shyness like I pointed out.

I know what it's like to be told "Look at me when I am talking to you." and getting chewed out for having poor eye contact by my stepfather and my superiors when I was in the navy.

Be aware that psychiatrists can misunderstand poor eye contact as a flat affect symptom of psychosis. Poor eye contact is a known symptom of psychosis. tt is also a known symptom of autistic spectrum conditions.

That's why I strongly stress that neurodivergent conditions be understood to prevent them from being misdiagnosed as psychotic disorders.


Dr. Harold N. Levinson believe that neurodivergent conditions have highly significant overlapping symptoms and tend to be comorbid with each other. That's why Dr Levinson refers to the whole neurodivergence as Dyslexic Syndrome, and Ronald D. Davis believes that root of neurodivergent conditions is Dyslexia which he views as a perceptual talent. That's why his first book was called GIFT OF DYSLEXIA.
They both believe that the neurodivergent conditions and disorientation/confusion are strongly connected. The only difference is that Dr. Levinson believes that it stems from cerebellar vestibular dysfunction,and should be treated with antimotion sickness medication. Ronald D. Davis believes that it stems from being a highly visual,picture thinker, and that it can be resolved with mind's eye focus therapy.


I believe that cerebellar-vestibular dysfunction can be in synchronicity with neurodivergent conditions and not just cause and effect. It could be one of those " what came first....the chicken or the egg" I believe that it's possible that the neurodivergent person can be ultrasensitive to sensory input to the point that the cerebellar vestibular system is overwhelmed which results in disorientation/confusion. Therefore, cerebellar vestibular problems could actually be the symptoms of hypersensitivity. I am just coming at it from a neurodivergent perspective.

Things like Omega 3 fatty acids not only found to decrease the symptoms of neurodivergents, but also decrease hypersensitivity too. Neurodivergents tend to be hypersensitive any way. Certain vitamins and minerals help with cerebellar vestibular functioning too,and they also can decrease hypersensitivity...especially Vitamin B complex which is known as the stress vitamin. Motion sickness medications are used to treat cerebellar vestibular dysfunction. They could actually decrease hypersensitivity. Motion sickness could stem from hypersensitivity to movements.

Astrology of Neurodivergence


A fellow astrologer once criticized Tom Cruise because of his being a member of a cult that is highly controversial in society. He didn't consider that maybe he was throwing a stone while in a glass house nor calling a kettle "black."
I am not going to make any judgments about Tom Cruise with whom I share neurodivergence and the belief that neurodivergents shouldn't be on medication for not fitting inside the box in common. I mean..who am I to judge? I believe in unconventional stuff too,and that would get me badly judged by mental health professionals and conservative religious people. I am talking about my beliefs in Astrology,Numerology,Tarot,and other metaphysical/occult subjects. I feel that I have to avoid being self righteous and point fingers. A person's religion is a cult to another..especially if they don't believe in the religion. Even Christianity was viewed as a cult in its early stages. A lot of Christians believe that paganism is a cult. It really depends on one's point of view. It's relative. I don't believe in absolutes. Just like what we see in the sky is relative, and there are many ways to look at the sky. As astrologers,we mainly use ecliptic longitude coordinates, and some astrologers also use declinations(equatorial latitude coordinates). However,astronomers don't use the ecliptic longitude coordinates. They use Right Ascension(equatorial longitude coordinates) along with declinations to locate celestial objects. Does that mean that astrologers are using the wrong coordinates? Of course not. Does that mean that astronomers are using the wrong coordinates? Of course not. They are both looking at the same sky, but they are looking at it from different perspectives. Horizon coordinates have been used too, and they are used in visual based star paran system. There are many coordinates that we can use to locate celestial objects, and so many perspectives of how we look at the sky. We have many
astrological systems in the field of Astrology. None of them are necessarily wrong. They are just seeing the chart from different perspectives. That's how religions and philosophies are too. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want my New Age,NeoPagan,Unitarian Universalist beliefs to be accused of being cultish nor wrong in some way. That's why I give people the consideration including even people
like Tom Cruise who believes in Scientology which I don't believe in. I feel that we humans need to avoid self righteousness and hypocrisy when it comes to views that are divergent from others. I believe that Eris has to do with Diversity. Mythological Eris caused men to quarrel and fight by making them believe that their opinions are right and other's are wrong. It seems like it might have to do with ideology. It also seems to fit with diversity and divergence which often are connected to equal/civil rights. I believe that the solution is the most simple concept of all - "Treat others like you want to be treated" Even Jesus preached "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" But.......good grief!....it's like the
hardest concept to practice on our planet even though it's the easiest concept of all.

I believe that Neptune is strong in a neurodivergent. They are confusing and can easily be confused in some ways. They are hard to pin down,often misunderstood/misdiagnosed, and put on medication like antipsychotic,Risperdal have been used to treat behavior problems in people(especially children) with ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Disorders. Many of them are ultrasensitive(as in ultraresponsive to external stimuli which can be sensory integration issues) and highly imaginative types(which can fit with the visual thinking,nonlinear thought processes that many neurotypicals,and highly distractibility from an internal source). Many neurotypicals might even see them as deceptive in some way if they don't understand their neurodivergent weaknesses...i.e. many neurodivergents have problems with eye contact. It can be because of sensory integration issues or coordination issues that have problems as they have a hard time doing more than one thing at the same time. Having eye contact or not having eye contact with another during communications is often viewed as determining if somebody's being honest or not. Some have to pause before answering a question. This could be because of auditory input speech lags or being primarily a picture thinker with word thinking being secondary. Some might see that as being dishonest because they might think "well...he's obviously lying,he can't even give a straight answer"
Even disorganization and absentmindedness that many neurodivergents have can be mistaken for deception too.


All the planets beyond Saturn are referred to as outerplanets, and so they are related to metaphysical energies. Uranus is the planet of liberation from boundaries as it breaks way with its need for independence,and it is associated with innovation and intuitive flashes. Neptune is the planet of dissolution of boundaries as it pierces the veil to reveal another world,and it is associated with imagination,inspiration, and psychism. Pluto is the planet of elimination of boundaries, and is compared to being the other side. This could be death,afterlife,or could be the subterranean depths of the human psyche. It is possible that Pluto's fellow transneptunian objects could be similar to Pluto. I believe that Pluto and its fellow transneptunians can be energies so metaphysical that they can be hard to handle and can manifest as problems on the physical plane such as serious health problems,psychiatric disorders, and even neurodivergence which are often subtle in their own way and very misunderstood. These aren't necessarily bad things. Neurodivergence tends to be very misunderstood,and it was unknown for a long time. The issues tend to be subtle. They have also been known as hidden handicaps.

With that in mind, I believe that it makes sense that the transneptunian objects associated with unknown,hidden,subtleties could be indicators for neurodivergence.


I believe that Chiron does fit with special needs which often require special attention. Many children with special needs often grow up to be compassionate adults that care about children and others with special needs. Chiron can be about having painful experiences that lead you to be a compassionate person that care about others that have similar painful experiences.

Chiron is located between Saturn and Uranus.......so bridges the physical and metaphysical. It's considered holistic.....mind,body,spirit connection.
Saturn/Uranus midpoint is said to be Chiron-sensitive. That means that aspects to Saturn/Uranus midpoint is like aspects to Chiron.

He was rejected by his parents, Cronos and Philyra because of his appearance as a centaur, but he ended up being a foster parent/mentor of many of the great heroes like Heracles,Jason,Achilles. He taught Asclepius to be a healer,and he was surpassed by that son of Apollo,the god of healing. Asclepius was the God of medicine.
Chiron was accidentally shot by Heracles with one of the poisoned arrows dipped in the Hydra's blood. He couldn't cure himself of the wound. He ended up taking Prometheus' place in the Underworld which led to the end of his pain.

Chariklo was his mate too. Chariklo is also the largest of the centaurs in our solar system. Like Chiron, it orbits between Saturn and Uranus. The difference is that it has an orbit less eccentric than Chiron. Centaurs named after females have less eccentric orbits than Centaurs named after males. The eccentricity of the orbits of the centaur celestial objects is like wild nature,noncomformity of the centaur creatures. That's why Chiron is viewed as a maverick.


BTW...there are over 40 centaurs, and over 10 of them have names already.

It would make sense to think that if Chiron is involved in neurodivergent conditions, then maybe other centaurs are involved in neurodivergent conditions too.

Also transneptunian object Ixion is named after the grandfather of the centaurs. Ixion was known for his lusty nature like his descendants. He actually got punished by Zeus for wanting and trying to get it on with Zeus' wife,Hera. a horny mortal man trying to get it on with the queen of the gods. hahahahaha. That's how lusty Ixion was.

Ixion is a big plutino(3rd largest plutino), and it has 2:3 resonance with Neptune like Pluto. Its orbit is highly eccentric like Pluto's. Their orbits are similar to the orbits of centaurs with their eccentricity. They can be seen as wild,nonconformists.

I am going to look at it from the neurodivergent perspective too. That means that I don't view neurodivergence as a disorder. I view it as an alternative way of being and thinking which doesn't conform to the arbitrary rules of society. Therefore,I am not going to just focus on planetary afflictions which would be focus on just what's wrong with the person. I will focus on the easy aspects too as well as the esoteric aspect harmonics (5th,7th,9th,11th).

I am looking for harmonic aspect with 3 or more objects. It's possible that a narrow orb esoteric aspect involvin a personal planet/point could be important,and that could be something to consider. I believe that this is especially the case for close orbed 5th harmonic aspects that include the quintile and biquintile which were devised by Johannes Johannes Kepler based on musical harmonic theory. It is said that he was skeptical of signs and houses in Astrology. It makes sense that he would think " the hell with the zodiac signs, I am coming up with my own aspects that have nothing to do with them". He opened the can of worms when he introduced minor aspects in Astrology. Even now,sesquiquadrates(devised by Kepler based on fiveness...5/8) and semisquaresare regularly used in Cosmobiology,seen on a 90 degree dial and Uranian Astrology as major aspects and regularly used with midpoints. Minor aspects are not necessarily minor, but they just require much smaller orbs than regular aspects. Minor aspect patterns have corresponding midpoint pictures. Even the golden section aspect(devised by Theodor Landscheidt) triangles have corresponding midpoint pictures. All midpoint pictures are harmonic aspect patterns any way. It's just that the ones that aren't of the 12th harmonic series(conjunction,opposition,square,sextile,semisextile,quincunx) are not easily seen in the regular chart.

5th harmonic in regards to neurodivergence:

It is said to be a quality similar to Pluto,with overtones of Venus and Mars: some kind of concrete creation or destruction is effected. Intellectual functions (not excluding emotion) and all especially human matters. Transformational change. The ability to express creative inspiration (due to other factors) in concrete creations. Many neurodivergents have obsessive traits. Many are highly emotional,intense and have history of emotional outbursts,emotional meltdowns which might be viewed as temper tantrums and can be destructive. Many of them can be a bit obsessive and hyperfocus,especially when it comes to interests. This could make them very good researchers. Because they think are lateral outside the box thinkers,they can be very creative. Many of them are in creative,artistic fields. The 10th harmonic might be important if it involves near exact to exact aspects (0 to 5 minutes of arc) and/or aspect patterns.

7th harmonic in regards to neurodivergence:

I check the 7th harmonic first because the 7th harmonic is said to have Uranus-Neptune flavor,energy linkings not entirely of this world as well as creative inspiration,but also mental and emotional difficulties and tenuous connectedness with the physical universe;religion.
There could be an otherworldliness about neurodivergents. Mental and emotional difficulties seems like it would fit with neurodivergence too. Also the 7th harmonic could be about the sublteties of existence, and neurodivergents tend to be extremely sensitive to subtleties that they can be easily overwhelmed,overstimulated by their environment. The 14th harmonic might be important if it involves near exact to exact aspects (0 to 5 minutes of arc) and/or aspect patterns.

9th harmonic in regards to neurodivergence:

The 9th harmonic is said to be about completions,endings;what life produces in the long run;needs and capacities in relationships and marriage. It seems that the 9th harmonic harmonic has to do with the big picture and wholeness(the integration of halves,parts into a cohesion....like the mind,body,and spirit.....or yin and yang....or. Many neurodivergents are global learners, and they tend to be good at seeing the big picture. Of course, many people only see parts of them whether it's just their weaknesses or just their strengths and not both their strengths and weaknesses. The 18th harmonic might be important if it involves near exact to exact aspects(0 to 5 minutes of arc) and/or aspect patterns.

11th harmonic in regards to neurodivergence.

David Cochrane(creator of Kepler Astrology Program) says that any aspect that has 11 in the denominator is very unstable, erratic, impatient, and rebellious which fit with neurodivergence quite a bit because they are not naturally conforming to arbitrary rules of society in regards to their physical being and thinking. Some other astrologers say that the 11th harmonic is associated with social consciousness and the ability to reach beyond oneself for help which I also believe is common with many neurodivergents who are strongly aware and tolerant of differences because of their own differences which lead them to raise awareness about differences in people. From the looks of it,it seems that these aspects have an Aquarius/Uranian flavor.

In Medical Astrology, Mercury is said to be associated with the nervous system and Moon is said to be associated with the brain itself according to Cosmobiologists,Uranian Astrologers. I also want to point out there are other views of what planet/point is associated with the brain. I believe that the Moon makes a lot of sense because Moon is associated with bodily fluids. We do have fluids in our brain called cerebrospinal fluid. Drinking water is very important for brain functioning. Dehydration can lead to problems with dizziness.

Other things that I will consider is the travel rate of both Moon and Mercury. Both are involved in processing information. The average daily motion of the Moon is 13 degrees,10 minutes. If the Moon's daily motion is slow,it could indicate slowness in processing information which has nothing to do with intelligence level. If the Moon's travel rate is fast, it could indicate quick emotional reactions to things. The person with a fast moon might even be seen as being too emotionally reactive which is typical of neurodivergents with sensory integration issues

The average daily motion of Mercury is 59 minutes,14 seconds. If the Mercury's daily motion is slow, it could indicate slowness in processing information which has nothing to do with intelligence level. If the Mercury's travel rate is fast,it could indicate quick mental reactions to things. It can even be a hyperactive nervous system which is typical of neurodivergents with hyperactivity.


Those are some things that I would check out when looking at charts of neurodivergents. I don't want to focus on just their weaknesses. Their strengths should also be looked at imho. My view is that they are not disordered but different.
Different doesn't necessarily mean deficient. We all have our differences in one way or another? Does that mean that we are deficient? People who think "my way is the right way" might believe in that. Many people that believe in diversity don't. Norms are based on what the majority of society believes is right and acceptable. Norms are relative. What's normal in one society is abnormal in another society. As astrologers, practicing Astrology is normal to us, but it's abnormal to many others that don't believe in Astrology. As astrologers, we are convergent in regards to our views and practices. To the outside observer, we are divergent.
That's how I view neurodivergence and the concept of neurodiversity.
