Over the holidays my family and I were watching a cable ghost hunter show after the Christmas Eve festivities. My older brother (50) totally bought into this show. I being a skeptic said all of it could be faked or exaggerated because of the TV show. He said that there is more than meets the eye to this world. I of course said prove it. I've seen some strange stuff in my day and it can be rationally explained away as a particular waking dream state, hallucination, etc.My brother is no liar - he said that he saw two black short gremlin-like creatures run across his yard one day. After 911 he claims he saw two white gremlin like creatures run the other way. I immediately said it was his pain medication. That ticked him off. He claims he was not on an medication at that time. I then said his brain was playing tricks on him, he was hallucinating and did not realize it. Anyone see anything strange like this? Other worldly creatures. IP: Logged |

Yeah, I think it very likely that these creatures do exist, in a dimension just slightly out of our frequency perception range, sometimes visible when we are attuned to them. I sensed a boggarty creature in this area I went to not long ago. A friend later confirmed that she sees/ senses it there too.IP: Logged |

WOW! I never expected to hear another person have this experience, but I had it! It was about.....16 years ago. I saw the black kind. I was living in this very strange apartment. This is the first place that I ever saw an angel, btw. But, my bed faced the bathroom, and it troubled me, because at night when my child was asleep and I was alone, I would see things in the bathroom mirror, down the hall, from my bed. So, I turned my bed sideways, so that I could not see into that bathroom. Anyway, shortly after that, I had gone to bed, and I was having trouble falling asleep, tossing and turning, the whole bit. I then turned my body to where my face was aiming toward the bedroom door (down the hall from that creepy bathroom) and suddenly, while my eyes were closed, I got the INTENSE sensation that someone was watching me. My brain urged me to NOT open my eyes, but I couldn't resist. I sort of wished I didn't. Anyway, when I did, "it" was standing by my bed, just looking right at me. Lord, I can't believe I'm telling anyone this. It is so hard to describe and it happened so fast! I was so terrified, that I closed my eyes. when I opened them a few seconds later, it was gone. But, yeah, they are real, I wasn't on any pain medication, and I was completely awake. Shortly after that, I was participating in some classes given by our local crystal shop. Each member took a turn having the group at their houses, where we would meditate, read tarot cards, etc.. The lady that ran the shop was a pretty well known psychic in the area. When it was my turn, she came to my apartment, and as soon as she walked in the door, she turned around and walked right back out! She refused to come in there. So, I think that place was just a place where the veils between worlds or dimensions was thinner. And, I think the reason why I saw the angel there was for me to know that I did have protection. Weird. I was so glad to move.

Wow GW.. amazing. I believe you all. I saw a ghost once. It was at my parents house and I was about 23. I was downstairs painting and I was walking upstairs when I looked up in the doorway and could have sworn I saw my mom standing in the doorway. It was quick. I looked up said "oh, hi mom" and looked down. When I got to where "she" was standing, I got chills all over. I walked all over the house looking for my mom but she wasn't there. I looked in the driveway and her van wasn't there. When she got home I told her this and she shook her head saying she wasn't home then. Looking back I can still picture what I saw and it was more of a shadowy figure. And I know I called it mom, but I get the feeling it was male. So.... that's my story lol.

WinkAway; Some people have the ability to "bi-locate", my Grandpa was one of them. But he got WAAAAY into the dark arts and one point in time, and it nearly made him lose his mind. So, if your Mom wasn't into that sort of thing, and you decided it was a male, then yep, you probably saw a ghost, disembodied soul, spirit...whatever they are called. IP: Logged |

gypsee, that lady walking away sounds like it was more than just a place where the veils are thin. i'm glad you had protection!!the first ghost i ever saw was when i was ten. a warm summer day. it was a dog! a family dog who had disappeared during hunting season ...missing presumed dead so to speak. one instant the road was empty. the next she was there, frolicking alongside the road a few yards ahead of me; alongside her a german shepherd puppy, and they were leashed together collar to collar. when we got our next dog, it was a german shepherd pup..i had NO say in what dog my dad went out and chose and it was not a breed the family had ever been partial to. this has always seemed to me an "initiation" of sorts, a demonstration that "apparitions" are NOT hallucinations, figments of disturbed minds, or made up rubbish at all. aka i respect your skepticism but such things do exist. apart from my own history, i know too many people here and elsewhere whom i respect as intelligent and grounded who have also experienced these things to doubt. which is not the same as believing hokey tv shows or EVERY story i hear about them. and the veils between dimensions are noticeable at times and in certain places... After I wrote this, I started thinking about that apartment in detail. One thing I remembered was it was underground. Like when you walked in the main front door, you walked downstairs to get to my apartment, so technically, it was underground. At first that was good, because it kept warm in the winter, but cool in the summer. The fact that we had no natural light did really bother me in a short amount of time. But, you do hear alot of things about basements RE: apparations. So, I wonder about this apartment. I'm not sure when it was built, but I don't think that really matters, as the land has been there forever. I don't know. I won't live in a basement again, I can tell you that.Mirrors have also been alot of trouble for me. Since I was a child. My Grandma raised me, and she had this very ornate looking dinette set (?) I guess that is what you call it. It had a huge table and many chairs for our large family get togethers. It had a sideboard thingy with a huge mirror. When I would come down the stairs from my bedroom, I could see into that mirror with my perphiral (sp?) vision. Anyway, I would see a huge party going on at the table relflected in the mirror!!! The people were wearing I guess you call them "Powder wigs?" Any way, I would just screech when I saw them, even though they weren't looking at me, just having a grand old time. Finally, I just trained myself to avert my eyes. When I looked in that mirror straight on, I saw nothing. When my Grandma relocated from NJ to FLA, she asked me if I would like to have that dining set, I firmly declined. I think people see stuff all the time, and just don't tell anybody. Years ago, that kind of stuff could get you put away, so it must be ingrained into us to keep our mouths shut. Noone wants to hear that they didn't see something they are sure they saw. IP: Logged |

Do you remember Moonie GW? I think he went by SatvicMoon. He got me interested on a website called ghostvillage.com I've posted my story there before. It's an interesting site. I went thru something with my youngest son for awhile where he would talk about seeing people who weren't there..etc. And while I wanted to believe him, his dad could have been putting a lot of that in his head. His dad is big on ghosts, bigfoot, ufo's etc. And watches those shows on tv. Now that my son's a little older, he's learning how to seperate real from made up. But when all this was going on he was probably around 6 which is way too young to be talking like that to him. But anyway.. I think once you actually have something like that happen to you where you see something like a ghost or images in a mirror.. you can't deny it. IP: Logged |

Hi Wink; is he Moonchild now? I've seen old threads before, but I've never spoken to him. Sounds like a cool website, I'll have to check it out.I don't think you should squelch that sort of thing in kids. I mean, when they told me I wasn't seeing what I knew I saw, it made me feel like I was crazy, and THAT is a scarier feeling. The only person that believed me was my Grandpa, and that is cause he saw stuff too. My son sees stuff as well. He is so cooly non-chalant about it. One day we were lying in my bed, in my last house. This house was good, it had a nice vibe, but I did see a man in there a few times, yet I felt no fear. Anyway, he was playing his gameboy thingy and I just blurted out without thinking, "I think I just saw a ghost!" And he said, "yeah, right there wearing a black shirt and a hat." He was pointing to the exact spot in another room under a window. He sees stuff, but does not dream, or I mean, does not really remember his dreams. My Pisces daughter is all about her dreams. She sees ancestors and she even saw my stillborn son (grown) in her dreams. Then my youngest is just, how to describe her....she is just highly perceptive, you cannot b.s. this child. She usually knows what you will say before she asks you. So, we all have different gifts, pretty cool. Sorry for getting off subject AKA. IP: Logged |

Wow your kids sound very intuitive (is that the right word?). My son every now and then will be walking along and kind of stop in his tracs, turn his head like he sees something.. I'll ask what's wrong and he just shakes his head and says nothing... so I wonder about him in that way. That ghostvillage.com is kind of interesting. You can read how other people and their kids have similar experiences. Even with gremlins and gnomes.. they cover it all there. AKA you may want to check it out and see what others may have to say about similar experiences.IP: Logged |
