My lawn has been covered with black birds every day for 3 days. I looked at everyone elses on the street, and mine is the only one. They also sit on the wires above my house, all lined up in a row.I haven't thrown any crumbs or seeds outside, so, I wonder what they want? IP: Logged |

There is always a crow sitting on the roof of my house for some reason. And crows and bunnies in the backyard. What is up with these crows??Your backyard sounds like a zoo Lexx ------------------ Echoes fade and memories die: Autumn frosts have slain July Still she haunts me, phantomwise, Alice moving under skies Never seen by waking eyes - Lewis Carrol, Alice in Wonderland IP: Logged |

i love crows. and consider them messengers especially about creativity...even the ability to shape shift, which is one of their fabled powers.today as i was working i heard some, outside, cackling away together but in a rhythm that reminded me of a pair of finches i once had, who used to do a kind of choral round that sounded a lot like a squeaky water wheel...! when i came outside half an hour later they were still cawing away and i looked up to see them circling the neighbourhood...about a dozen were perching in the top of a big old maple tree on our driveway and they would take off, swoop over the block, and return, shouting all the while. the last time i saw crows doing this there was a dead one in our street and they spent about an hour cawing away and making more noise than the traffic! not sure if they were mourning, warning, or vowing vengeance but they were definitely having a pow wow of some kind! the group today, though, repeated their fly=by a few times and when i went inside for a minute and came back, they had gone. What a blessing, Lexx!!I think part of it is that you are in touch and take the time to notice. I have seen so many cool things while just driving down the road and I have to wonder if anybody else (in their metal bubbles ) noticed. IP: Logged |
