Have you ever seen an UFO (alien spacecraft) or an Extra Terrestrial being?

Please share. Thanks.

(also, to clarify, I mean in the waking state, in real life, not in the dream state and not in your visions)

i have seen UFOs (unidentified flying objects) twice. whether they were space ships or not is another matter. they were unidentified! one was moving, and far away, many years ago. the other was stationary, much closer but too far to see anything but a light...who knows?

I'm not sure about a ship, but I saw something huge, that glowed a gold colour, as it moved through the sky - it was much bigger than the two planes that were in separate parts of the sky. This was in 1993, on a Friday night during the summer, in Dixon, CA. It scared me at the time (my sister and I were home alone, babysitting, and watching Sightings, or that other show that they had on for a while... related to the paranormal. I closed the blinds (heh), and checked the news later on, but saw nothing on there (although there's no way the people on the planes could have missed it, if they'd had their window shades open.

This one I personally experienced too.

X-Files Comes To Saybrook

By Diana Lewis - Staff Writer
Star Beacon (Ashtabula, OH)
2-29-00

SAYBROOK TOWNSHIP - For the second night in a row, Dennis Johnson was standing in the dark in his front yard, transfixed by a light in the sky that so far has defied explanation. "It could be an optical illusion, but I know I saw it move," he said Monday evening, outside his North Depot Road home. Pointing toward the southwest, he said, "When I came out, it was there. Now it's straight out, to the west. It's moving north."

That's pretty strange, since most of the other objects in the cloudless night sky - stars, mostly - were "moving" in a different direction, due to the rotation of the earth. "I don't think it's a satellite, or a planet," he said. "I'm just awed by it." This second night, Johnson was content to watch the odd-looking light by himself. But Sunday night, he was desperately looking for corroboration. He got it. Maybe it's because cops enjoy a believability factor the every day, run-of-the-mill UFO-spotter doesn't possess, but Johnson made the difficult decision to call in the law just before midnight Sunday to report the strange moving light in the sky to the west. "About 11:30, I was going outside to have a cigarette, because I don't smoke in the house and I saw this odd-looking star," Johnson said. "It was a flat light, instead of round and shiny, like a star."

Johnson said he walked around the yard, trying to see it from several angles. "It was just a flat-type light, so I lined it up with a telephone pole to see if it was moving," Johnson said. "It moved down, then to the left and the right." Johnson called his wife to the door, and she watched it for a while.

"She told me to be careful who I call about it, because they would think I was crazy," he said.

After watching a few minutes more and noticing it changed color from white to green at times, Johnson called 911. "I told them it wasn't an emergency, but I wanted to know if there were any other reports about it. They told me no," Johnson said.

Johnson didn't know it, but a deputy was dispatched after his first phone call. In his report, the deputy said he drove into the area, scanned the skies, and saw nothing but stars. He did not speak with Johnson.

After watching the object a while longer, Johnson tried to determine how close it was. It could have been hovering over Geneva, he said.

"I called again and said, 'Please send a car so I can show it to somebody,'" Johnson said.

The deputy was dispatched to the area again, with instructions to speak with the stargazer at his home. When he arrived, Johnson pointed out the light, located to the west of their location. "The deputy said, 'Yeah. It's moving,'" Johnson said. In his report, the deputy said he lined up the light with a fixed object and was then convinced the light was indeed moving around in one general area. By this time, two troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol's Saybrook Post were also on the scene:

The four men took turns looking at the light with binoculars.

"They were all joking. Saying they weren't going to say anything because people would think they were crazy," Johnson said.

Eventually, the three officers left. Johnson, however, stayed outside a bit longer.

"I watched it go over the trees, out of sight," he said. "It just went gradually lower in the sky and disappeared."

Johnson said it took about a half hour for the light to drop behind the horizon. It was moving much faster than the constellations, he said.

A call by the ACSO to Youngstown airport after Johnson's first call yielded no information.

Sheriff Billy Johnson said he believes his deputy "saw something unusual." "I'm not going to say there aren't UFOs," Johnson said. "Nobody's ever come down and tapped me on the shoulder, but I won't rule out UFOs. All we can do is watch, observe."

This one we were called by the woman's neighbor to investigate...(we are known psychic investigators to many here...and right before we got the call I had traced out deep suddenly and said
"they are here again"
My husband asked "who"
I said, "the ship, she's back".
then the phone rang.
Once there it hovered, and seaweed began falling on us.....because it had gone into the lake and emerged.
I have had many encounters back to 1959.

Ashtabula Township Woman Tapes UFO Near Her Home

By Pamela E. Gran - Staff Writer
Star Beacon (Ashtabula, OH)
11-7-00

ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP - It's been more than three months since she spotted several unidentified objects in the night sky, but Mary Standy said it's time to speak out about her findings.

Standy has about 15 minutes of tape shot with her family's camcorder to prove what she saw late on July 17. Standy was recording the full moon at about 11:30 p.m. "I was going to use the pictures to make a poster for my daughter's room," Standy said.

What she saw as she aimed the camcorder at the night sky from her bedroom window turned out to be far more than just a scenic view of the moon and picturesque wispy clouds, however.

As Standy videotaped from the east side of her Lincoln Drive home, suddenly she noticed tiny, round white lights streaking from left to right above, below and around the moon.

"They weren't planes and they weren't shooting stars," Standy said, beginning to shake with the memory of her experience.

One of the lights drifted to the right of the moon, disappeared behind a large cloud, then seconds later zipped to the left and was gone from sight.

During about 10 minutes of recording, more than a half-dozen such "lights" alternately appeared and disappeared around the edges of the moon, Standy said.

Standy said she was forced to brace her arms on the window's edge to steady them as she began to react to the incident.

Her dog, a cocker spaniel, hopped onto the nearby bed and began to growl. Standy also recalled that the fur on the dog's head stood on end as it reacted to whatever was traveling the sky.

An hour later, Standy's nerves suffered a further shock when she went to her front yard and recorded an even more spectacular sight.

Carefully focusing the camera into the cloudless sky, Standy's daughter captured another five minutes of a rapidly darting light, which alternately changed shape from round to elliptical to tubular.

The object appeared white as it darted around the sky, but when caught on freeze-frame, it turned green, red and purple.

Even though it was a warm July night, Standy felt chilled to the bone, she said.

The incident in July is not the first, nor was it the last such experience for Standy.

"I've been seeing objects in the sky since about the age of 9," she said.

On Oct. 21, Standy once again caught something unexplained on film. This time it was a large, white ball of light. At first she thought it was the moon. However, the orb was not in the right position in the sky at the time she was recording about 2 a.m., Standy said.

Standy said she is frightened, not only about what the objects might be, but of the consequences of her coming forward.

Friends and family, as well as strangers, have ridiculed her in the past. Standy was prompted to come forward after reading an article on other UFO sightings in the Ashtabula area which ran in Monday's Star Beacon, she said.

Standy and her family have had difficulty sleeping since the July sighting.

"I didn't sleep for 53 hours after it happened," Standy said.

To this day she is haunted by bizarre dreams in which UFOs enter her home.

Standy has contacted representatives of "Real TV" and other media agencies.

"I don't care what anyone says. I know what I saw, I believe they were spaceships," Standy said, adding there are many questions to which she would like the answers.

Multiple UFOs Dazzle
Crowd Of Onlookers In Ohio
9-29-00

Location: Girard, Ohio near Youngstown [Trumbull County] Date: Tuesday, September 19, 2000 - 12:15 a.m.

A Mr. Rodney Happney of Youngstown, Ohio reported sighting a UFO from his location in Girard, Ohio [Trumbull County] on September 19, 2000. Happney, who was interviewed by telephone on Thursday evening, September 28, 2000, was formerly in the military and served for two years in the 82nd Airborne Infantry as a paratrooper. Happney informs that he is very familiar with many types of aircraft and cannot explain what he witnessed on September 19, and agreed to have his name published in this report.

While driving his 1996 Chevy Lumina north on Salt Springs Road between 12:10 and 12:15 p.m., Happney caught a glimpse of something in the sky while waiting at a traffic light. "I just saw these things from the corner of my eye," he said.

The next thing that caught Happney's attention was a crowd of people standing in the parking lot of a Sheetz Convenience store and gas station. "This crowd of people were all standing around looking up and I realized they were looking at the same thing I was looking at, so I decided to pull in and stop."

Happney parked his car in the parking lot of the Sheetz store, which is a service station located on a heavily traveled quarter off of Interstate 80 at the Salt Springs Road exit. Also at this exit are 3-truck stops and a British Petroleum [BP] service station.

Happney estimated there were 20 to 30-people standing around looking into the sky as he pulled in to the Sheetz parking lot. They were mostly motorists who had also noticed the suspected UFOs, he presumed.

The objects, which were described as roundish star-like lights, in the daytime sky, seemed 'pretty high' yet below the thin cloud layer.

Happney observed a total of 6-independent objects that were not attached to any larger object. Some of the objects would shoot straight up, above the clouds while others would seem to roll around and reflect sunlight. They would perform quick "bee-like" maneuvers and then assume a formation in what appeared from his vantage point to be a "straight line."

"Two of these objects from the rear of the straight-line formation would remain stationary while the rest of these things just fell, suddenly," Happney recalled. "They seemed to be flying or buzzing around real high, but there was no sound at all that I could hear."

The objects continued to scatter about before they made a rapid departure to the east. Happney informed that he had never seen anything pull away at the speed these objects traveled. "Nothing could compare to how fast things things were going," he said.

Rodney Happney declares that these objects were nothing that could be addressed with a satisfactory explanation, and was absolutely certain they were no type of aircraft or military jets in practice or mock combat.

The crowd of spectators were pretty worked up, about the strange goings-on in the sky above them. "All these people were as amazed as I was," Happney informed. "Someone jokingly said it could be a UFO, but whatever it was, it shouldn't have been there. I've never seen anything like this before."

After the objects departed from sight, Happney reports that a military plane over flew the area. "No more than 15 or 20-seconds after these things pulled away, a military plane flew over to the south." He informs that the camouflaged C-5 'Galaxy' transport aircraft flew at an estimated 2-mile elevation. Happney also advised that he is familiar with these planes and knows they frequent the area.

After the sighting, Happney was excited about the occurrence and drove on to the Eastwood Mall in Niles, Ohio where he then called 9-1-1 from a Super K-Mart store. He asked the 9-1-1 dispatcher if others had called about a UFO sighting, but the receptionist said she did not know. His call was referred to the Youngstown Airport where he was then transferred to the control tower. The tower operator [estimated to be 10-miles from the observation location] informed that nothing was seen at the time in question. Happney was advised by the tower operator to contact the National UFO Reporting Center with his claim.

Happney then contacted a local television news-station, Channel 33 in Youngstown, Ohio. A male receptionist at the news station informed him that the space shuttle was landing that day, and what was seen near I-80 could have been 'heat shielding,' coming off of the shuttle as it flew overhead.

The weather conditions at the time were blue skies with light, high clouds. The objects did not appear in the direction of the sun from the witness perspective, but did reflect sunlight.

The claimant was interviewed for about 15-minutes and this researcher views him as a cogent and astute witness. He claims one previous sighting that he cannot readily identify; this one from 1984 [while fishing with a friend near Route 11, he observed an object that had a green, blue and red light that hovered for about 1-minute].

Verifiable facts refute the dismissive speculation offered by the employee of a Youngstown, Ohio television station to explain the alleged UFO sighting. The Space Shuttle Atlantis returned to Cape Canaveral, Florida in the early evening on Wednesday, September 20, 2000, ending a 12-day mission to stock the International Space Station with supplies. This time frame simply would not have had its re-entry course into the atmosphere over northeastern Ohio on Tuesday, September 19 at 12:15 p.m.

Sheetz Incorporated was contacted by telephone on Friday morning, September 29, 2000 at 9:15 a.m. [2721 Salt Springs RD, Girard, OH 44420-3148 - phone: 330-530-2375], and an employee was asked if they had knowledge of or any information to support the claim of a UFO sighting outside of their station on Tuesday, September 19. The employee did not know anything about such a report and checked with other workers at the station who also knew nothing of any incident involving a crowd of people looking into the sky from their parking lot.

This report was submitted to Peter Davenport of the National UFO Reporting Center [NUFORC], and was made available courtesy of his advisement. Davenport also informs of a second UFO sighting reported to NUFORC on the same date from a woman who works in medical research. This claimant informs of a UFO sighting near Ravenna, Ohio [Portage County] on Tuesday, September 19, 2000 at around 8:00 p.m. The NUFORC caller told of seeing a cluster of 5 or 6 "boomerang shaped objects in unwavering formation" streak overhead. The objects were visible to the witness for an estimated 5 or 6-seconds.

In an effort to acquire more information on this report, the Ravenna, Ohio police department was contacted [330-296-6486] on September 21, 2000 and Dispatcher Gillum [sp?] handled the inquiry. The female dispatcher, who was professional in her approach and helpful with researching this report, said not to have been on duty during the evening in question, but consulted momentarily with her partner who worked on Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. to midnight. This dispatcher informed that there were no incoming calls to their department reporting a UFO sighting.

Ravenna, Ohio is due east of Girard by about 26.5-miles. Girard is slightly north of Youngstown. The region has a well documented history of UFO sightings dating back to April 17, 1966, when sheriff,s deputies Dale Spaur and Wilber L. Neff pursued a low-flying UFO from Portage County into Pennsylvania. On December 14, 1994, numerous civilians in Trumbull County reported a low-flying UFO to police authorities who pursued the object for a lengthy duration. Liberty Township police officer Tobe Melero said that his patrol cruiser was shut down, by the brilliant, soundless light.

More recently, a midnight encounter with a UFO along Route 11 between East Liverpool and Ashtabula, Ohio on Saturday night, July 22 was reported to the Ashtabula County State Highway Patrol office. Three motorists were alarmed by numerous red lights that paced their car.

This is another I have personally witnessed going back to the late 1960s.
Not ufos, but sasquatch and strange creatures, which seemed to coincide too neatly with sightings of the triangular and red cigar ufo sightings and cattle mutilations. http://www.angelfire.com/oh/ohiobigfoot/romeohio.html

OHIO RED UFO PLUNGES INTO LAKE ERIE

CLEVELAND -- "It was first thought to be a downed helicopter, then a meteor shower, but whichever it was caused the U.S. Coast Guard to launch a rescue boat Wednesday, February 13, 2002, and search Lake Erie off the mouth of the Black River." " Sightings of red lights or flashes thought to be two miles (3 kilometers offshore) from the Elyria Water Work started being reported on Lorain (Ohio) police radio transmissions around 8 p.m." "'We're out there doing search patterns,' said a dispatcher for the Lorain Coast Guard station, but nothing was reported being found late last night." " Lorain police dispatchers said they had nothing to report." " Lights from helicopters or possibly commercial planes were later seen in the air above where the Coast Guard boat combed the waters." " Also traveling the airways were reports of unusual lights being seen from Bay Village to Toledo, and Coast Guard radio traffic indicated a he! licopter had been dispatched to take a look along the (lake) shore." (See The Morning Journal of Lorain, Ohio for February 14, 2002, "Unidentified red lights seen in night sky." Copyright 2002 by The Morning Journal, all rights reserved.) Eyewitness T.S. reported, "I did not see it, but I may have 'heard' it. Over the late evening, there were several concussion-like sounds like sonic booms. They shook and rattled the windows of my cottage in Bay Village near the shorefront of Lake Erie." Thanks to T.S. for the Morning Journal news article and his report.) (Joseph Trainor's Comments:

This isn't the first time we've had an unidentified submerged object (USO) on the bottom of Lake Erie. A similar case occurred in Ashtabula, Ohio a year ago.)

the light i saw 18 months ago was red and stationary. could have been a helicopter except that a helicopter that close would have made noise AND it would have moved at least slightly in the 10 or so minutes i observed.

the light i saw 40 odd years ago at first looked like a plane crawling across the sky. however it suddenly made a right angle and zipped out of sight at what could only be described as "warp speed", WAAAY too fast for a plane.

if i have ever seen an alien they were disguised as perfectly human. so no reason to think i have...though i know plenty of humans who act like another species entirely!

yes in downtown san rafael. probably overhanging the bay or mount tam, though hard to say in a pitch black night. i've seen plenty of helicopters hovering or coming straight towards one but their light is WHITE and within a minute or two it is obvious that they are copters. this was unique in my experience.
