If life is nothing but a continuous painful struggle, and the inflow of joy and pain are governed by forces we have absolutely no power over.....then what is the point?

Hugs!~ Listens...

I believe that we co-create. We bring things into our life to learn, if we haven't learned, we keep bringing the very thing that makes us unhappy right back into our life. School isn't easy, but it does pay off, after all, would you want to live in a world filled with only illiterate souls? I think there is a name for that world... Hell!~ lol

I know but life is so painful. I see people in my work who are elderly and have no quality of life left, and just want their suffering to be over with. I see people who are impaired mentally because of illness and who have no control. In a way I think we are all limited mentally by circumstances and environment to an extent that the idea we all have free will (in the way it is traditionally thought of) ....just makes no sense.

I see images of people in Pakistan who are struggling for survival in the floods, and think of the ones who have died in it or are dying from illness and exposure as as result of it. I feel their helplessness, I sense the suffering and unfairness of this savage garden of life where the cruel, greedy ugly should take everything for themselves at the expense of others, suppressing inventions like free energy, assassinating those who would wish to bring about change through such technology or change to the banking systems.

I think of the animals who suffer tromendous pain every day in laboratories where they are tortured by toxic poisons and chemicals to get them cheaply and quickly onto the market.....and that it is allowed to happen because it is behind closed doors where no-one sees it while the media makes people believe we are living in a compassionate society and the only cruelty that goes on is toward domestic animals that we are trying to do something about. No-one hears about those who try to fight for the lab animals. When they do, they hear lies about them and stories twisted into distortion. They are sent to prison and no-one thinks about them or hears about them anymore except the ones who know them.

Where is the justice in life?

And can there even be such a thing as justice in a world where everything is characterized by infinite perspectives....who knows if any idea of justice can be right anyway, or what is right?

The irony is that when people try to fight "evil" they end up becoming it in some of their actions.

Even those who have tortured children with MK Ultra mind control experiments....feel that the ends justifies the means. http://www.trance-formation.com/

I understand where you are coming from, I choose a vegan lifestyle to help lesson the suffering of animals. We are all in different grades, if that makes any sense. We are at different levels of evolution. Earth can be a horrible cruel place at times, but we are in a universe that is governed by polarity.Great spirits aren't defined by how little they have weathered the storm, but by those who dash out into the full force of it. Face turned toward the slashing, cruelty of reality and finding peace in a cold, empty landscape. We find our own humanity when faced with harsh circumstance. In the midst of all that is unholy, we are challenged to find our own divinity.

That kind of reminds me of the film "Unbreakable". What he discovers at the end....how the man he met at the art museum manipulated various tragedies to enable him to discover his powers.....is a terrible shock for him after going through everything.

He wanted to rescue people and help save them from their suffering, yet the tragedies he was rescuing them from were orchestrated all along by somebody because of him, so that he could realize he could be a "superhero".

That's messed up.

Maybe that's why we are here, and that's why all this suffering exists. If that's the case, for some reason it does not inspire me to jump for joy or start writing poetry about how beautiful it all is.

There truly isn't any answer to Why, that makes any sense in this reality. I believe that Mindfulness living can lesson the pain and suffering that exists on this plane, but, because we think and believe our reality into existence, the only way for true change to happen is through mass consciousness. First step... awareness!~

That can be true but a severely autistic/ mentally impaired person with no control over his life who has come down with a severe case of the flu (or other illness) which is causing him pain...cannot find comfort in such concepts...his reality to him in those moments are simply the reality of the pain that he is suffering in his body.

Just an example.

I spit in the face of the being or part of creation that allowed or caused life to be full of such suffering.

If the movie can only have joy in it because of the pain then I would like to press the stop button. Because I am sick to the stomach from all the horror in it. And it is no longer entertaining. It is too real to be entertaining. Unless I become detached from reality...and I'm not going down that route because you have to go let pieces of your own soul; your sensitivity; go into a slumber. I'm not going into a slumber. I'm not going to play the game of separatism, judgment and competition any more. I chose empathy.

It is messed up, I agree!~ But, I also believe in reincarnation. We have no way of knowing what another soul needs for evolution and each lifetime is temporal.

That kind of suffering is almost unbearable, but what his/her mind can't compute, their energy/spirit/ whatever name you wish to give it, can... We are intelligent energy when we are not in body. That intelligent energy can compute, so much more then the finest minds.

Empathy is truly the only route to take, if we want soul progression.

There is nothing wrong with your choice and may be why there is suffering in the first place.

I understand your position LTT, it is sickening and disgusting to the point where it shows in my dreams. These are days were you turn away from one horror to find another waiting with teeth bared in the most hideous grin. But we each chose this. There is free will and justice. Humans have been a part of horrors much worse than today's behind-closed-doors acts, and it was out in the open then. It would be much worse to live in a time when nothing is done about suffering than to live in a time when these things aren't accepted anymore, are openly despised rather than ignored. We have progressed.

Each soul chooses it's reality on earth: family, situations, circumstances, and yes, hardships. The souls that were once rich and greedy in Greece or Rome are now suffering heavily for what they did to others. And these souls will continue to tumble around in this cycle until they're conscious minds realize what they'd done to deserve it. It's harsh and cold, but it's reality and you're right, empathy is the best we can manage until everything has balanced. We have to grin and bear it to the best of our abilities. That is where our free will comes in.

Autumn frosts have slain July

Still she haunts me, phantomwise,

Never seen by waking eyes

You need balance in your life, Listens. Yes, there are terrible things going on in the world all around us, and the only way sensitive people can process it, is to have some balance in their life every day. You need to excercise, get out into nature and breathe the wind in the trees , you need to spend time with your boys, you need to eat healthy. Read a new book, watch a new movie.

When we are little children we are raised under an illusion......we are not aware of what the real world is like. Then as we become more aware with growth, age, education and experience, we are hurt b/c we were under the impression that life was supposed to be rainbows, ladybugs, chocolate chip cookies, and Sesame Street.

No one ever said that life was supposed to be perfect.........perfection is an illusion. Biological systems are imperfect. If anything was perfect, we wouldn't be here. Why? Because mutation is the driving force of evolution. Change is a continuous force on the physical earth plane, as well as the spiritual plane.

Spiritually, we are evolving and we chose to come to earth for learning.

I totally agree with Mystical about earth being a school and we are here to learn and we will keep coming back to learn our lessons through reincarnation.

We can never know another person's karma. We can never know what is in another person's heart and soul. We can never know their life lessons. So if you see someone suffering, that may be a lesson they are learning. They may have chosen their situation.

There would be no point of life if everything was sparkling clear, sparkling perfect.

Life = Learning

Nephthys... Wow!~ balance is the key, you are so correct. I love the way that you put everything into a very precise way for Listens to find that balance.

Teardrops, raindrops
of a poet's heart.....
go unheard and unseen
but for those who understand.
Are we weak? Those seen weak, for sensitivity.
Is there anything to teach?
Is there anything to change?
Teardrops, raindrops
of a poet's heart
go unheard and unseen
but for those who will hear.
Ears of the heart,
Senses of the heart,
Whatever force fuels this life- connect.
Feel my call, our pain.
Let the rain wash it away, away.
Can life be warm
and gentle one day?
