My mom does a routine where she loks at something over my head and behind me and gives this weird-to-me smile when I am seated next to her bed with my back to a litle hal and the staircase. I tell her to knock it off. She laughs and tells me I am afraid of "them" when, if I see them, they only want me to say a prayer. Then she has said "her father" wants to walk me upstairs when I go up. I tel her to tell him no thank you because if it is not him I don't want something tagging along by my ok and, if it is him, I stil do not have any wish for the contact. Now when I was a girl there were some spirits about that were negative but they are not here now. My mom severely abused me and other kids in the family particularly the girls. She also was /is? an occultic dabbler. I have forgiven her and feel love for her both because it is my nature and because I feel these things protect me and give me spiritual strength. Unless I drive up from far to stay with her she has spent many years alone after 5pm bed bound and helpless but not afraid. I do have some kind of gift like in those "psychic impression" posts. Also a few times I have been to psychics who have told me they have gotten a fright when looking at me and they have seen my mother show up and sort of over lay me. I do not like that and do not want her to try to move into me. She has a day time caretaker but no family members will come see her unless I am here to "buffer" except for 2 who are after "the money" and they seldom come. There are some good people she refuses. Anyway, I do not want any weird ness perpetrated by her onto me.

Well, stayed away from this topic for awhile, still want input of course. The "visits" and "emotional scaries" are gone. i think it might be a seasonal visit or visits? My nephew died a few days before Christmas and, while he did not die in this house he had been living here at the time. My moms Grandpa died on Christmas Eve but also not here. Like I said this was a scary house where I spent early teen years through young adult hood. There were definately presences then-and very scary "push you down the staircase" ones. I still get a very little bit of vibes as does the cat but nothing like the holiday seasons.
On another note, I have been looking at old houses with a realtor and her daughter. Most houses were built in the late 1800's and early 1900's so have much history. i do sense and see presences in many of these including apparitions and sounds(?)
In the house on Ball St. There was a huge white glowing mass on the stairs and when I looked at the pictures it was on line in the photo showing the stairs! At another, a large man walked very closely behind my realtor as she walked up the drive towards the door that led to the basement workshop, at another I could here a small dog running across the floor and barking- these were fun and not scary to me. i even spoke to the man and told him I'd like to live there. We have gone back several times and others were also showing the same house and none of the others seemed to want to stay too long-
I still feel like someone else or something else gets behind my mother's eyes esp when i look in on her after coming in later in the evening. I do not feel comfortable then. Well, thanks and please respond with your own takes or experiences or advice.
Like I think, I do not mind non-evil presences and have a highly attuned sense about some. In my home where I sleep I am very uncomfortable.

Are these spirits or entities a kind of metaphor for an 'ill-self', or are they really are out there trying to mess with people who's 'defences are down'. How much do they need them to be down? Wouldn't it then be the case that every seriously ill person would be attacked by these entities? And then would the interpretation be that the illness opened the door to the entities or the entities opened the door to the illness?????? It sounds a bit wooly to me. No offence intended.
I had a very rough patch in my late teens. I was doing drugs and smoking and did the ouigi board a couple of times with some freaky results tbh. I guess that was a dangerous time entity-wise. I felt my life-force was very low. I was depressed, my mother went bankrupt and attempted suicide, and loads of other **** . It was a very testing to say the least. Would there have been astral entities around then trying to get inside me? Or were they already in possession of my mother who to be honest has taken on somewhat of a 'wretched' deameanour since then. Like wretched in the biblical sense.

Hello, tuxedo, I hope u would have got ur answers by now, as its been around 3 months. If not, i agree with Banx that you should pray to GOD or a saint to intervene. It surely did help me when i was a kid and even now.

P.S:- Do you have any 'mantras' to recite or holy books to keep in the house. In our place we do either of the two. It helps in warding off evil spirits.

well, have a need to get back to this. thank you everyone as always! the intensity seemed to be around the christmas holidays the most. i am still here at my mother's house. the "glittery scary eye" thing has abated and she has stopped talking about "visitors" as much although the other night she told me she had to hurry and get ready because her father and grandfather were coming to pick her up and take her somewhere. the cat is no longer reacting to anything other than the Racoons in the attic. We've set traps. I have been away from my adult children almost 6 months now so have not observed any phenomena around them or in them. i put their pictures on the purple plates and charged some quartz crytals to look after them as well.
I have not heard the rapping on the walls or heard the outside entry doors open and close with noone there either since around the christmas season.
LEXX-saw your beautiful picture on another post! I am interested in the "corpse in bed" still. I will need to know what to do after my mom passes because i am sure she will want to stick around. I disposed of a lot of her occult stuff because i do not think she was using it for "the higher good" or any good at all. Maybe people will not like that I did that but I feel the house has lightened considerably. I am still a true believer and all.
When I made my first batch of ORGONITE the other night all kinds of energies came from all over the neighborhood, out of trees and shadows. That sort of alarmed me but i asked them to "back-off" and it seems they did. What were they? What they call elementals?
I do pray a lot to the native american "WakanTanka" and to the Holy Spirit I've lately been creating a mental image of a copper clock wise coil with a crystal floating on top? That orgonite! LOL!
Thank you all for help and concern. I guess the spooky stuff is seasonal then?

bumping this old post-still want to know about the "corpse in the bed" appearance and:

i was at my cell phone business. there were many people around. A woman who was working suddenly looked at me (she was not helping me and had another customer)! she said, "You are returning to THAT house? Make sure you have a priest go with you when you go in." then she went back to helping her customer.
it was obvious she was addressing me. other folks heard her and looked at me.

the house and contents are now mine but i have been out of state awhile.

i will be in the house alone with my cats when I get back in a month.

any insights? any similar occurances? I have had odd things like this happen before.

i do not know the woman who spoke.
